I've been smashed like that a 100 times in Sunday League footy.
I know someone that's been smashed more but I got a 7 day ban for saying that

Honestly some of our fans... if you don't think that was a red get yourself to specsavers. If that has been a Spurs player on one of ours you would have been scream for a red.
It was a stupid challenge, born out of frustration.
Top 4 is now out of our hands, but keeping up the fight is now more difficult with no Mcginn for 3 games. Who replaces him!?

They're properly riled up, had a couple giving me grief like this is a big grudge match and just had to let them know it's very one way and we couldn't really give a shit about them
Yeah, Spurs fan at work said he hope Cash leave the stadium in an ambulance and never plays football again...

Cash has started dreadfully. Beaten every time, awful passing. Bad.
Was going to say the same, he has looked dodgy, with his passing, slipping etc.

Why do we always have these biased clowns on commentary? I don’t think I’ve ever heard Goodman say a positive word about Villa!
That explains it!

Who the F... is this spunk trumpet on co commentary on sky??

Trying to sell Watkins to a big club like Man United, going on mute until it kicks off.
That annoyed me! Fair play the other bloke, when Keane said he could play for a big club, he says aren't Villa a big club?

I would imagine the game taking place today in Liverpool would occupy the most space in the media’s thoughts.
And just generally they probably feel safer in talking about Spurs in the context of a top four finish because they have a better track record in doing so (or being close to).
I think ultimately those in the media don’t want to look stupid so maybe they want to see if Villa in the top four is a more likely occurrence going forward. This is probably mostly subconscious. They don’t wanna be all like “Hey Newcastle have upset the top six elite!! Howay! Brace yourselves everyone!”. Then next season watch them hang about in ninth and try and pretend they didn’t go over the top.
I don’t think there is a broad anti-Villa bias. Individual pundits clearly don’t like us, that can’t be argued otherwise. And there is stuff like last season with “the relegation battle” and including Villa who are safely in 11th, but when Chelsea are 11th they’re not included for whatever reason. That sort of stuff is there, how conscious it is, I don’t know. Villa supporters, or any supporters are going to notice and think about these things more than the guy they got to draw up the relegation league table I’d imagine.
On a broader scope, I think the media finds Villa a little bit boring maybe. I don’t think they quite know how to pigeonhole us. For instance Brighton are like the plucky hipsters. As often stated, we’re kinda like Everton but at least with Everton they have a glamorous local rivalry that can add as a showcase while we have a turd occasionally sharing the bill with us.
Ultimately what I’d say is, try not to let any perceived bias bother you.
And if it doesn’t, but other people complaining about a perceived bias does, try not to let that bother you.
Well you have been spot on, so far 30 mins speaking about Liverpool, now speaking about Spurs.. we might get a quick 30 second overview

On my social media at least it seems to have started early for the summer, lots of ladbible type places posting about how deep England's attacking options are showing the stats of kane, ollie, Bowen, Bellingham etc etc
Every one of them full of comments about how this clown will either pick rashford instead or will play tactics that stifle the talent
He's got nowhere to hide this summer
Yeah, I have seen plenty from rival fans saying thay Watkins deserves a callup but knowing Southgate he will pick another RB
I think if he does leave Ollie out and takes Toney over him he will just wheel out his usual excuses (or completely change the subject)
The squad we have we should be playing teams off the pitch. But he plays with too defensive minded players.
You know Henderson and Philips are going to be taking 2 spots that they don't warrent, but as Southgate says you pick players that don't let you down, unless you pick Watkins and go on about recent bias....

Think they're just annoyed it was Bentancur as he was on the comeback trail. He was supposed to be out for months after but pretty sure he returned in three weeks.
What they're missing is either side of that game Romero was guilty of some terrible challenges, one he got a red for against Chelsea and then in his first game back he lunged in at Calum Wilson and somehow escaped another red so little different to Cash.
He'll get some stick at the weekend but it will just be their fans in the corner so he should be mature enough to keep his cool if he starts.
I think he will get a stiff one from Romero.

It was the speed he was going and the intent, Mcginn was going 100 for the player. At that speed red had no choice.
