Luiz and Kamara and McGinn needvto stand up been going missing at times.

They were awful vs Chelsea. Couldn't string 2 passes together. Put the defence under more pressure.

Previous posters have covered it and I’m pleased to see some sense and good points… we are incredibly lucky to have Unai and he has raised all expectation and worked wonders…

I do think we need to find a way to shed the complacency, arrogance and casualness though… and that cause mistakes and lapses…

Players need to realise they have to focus on every game and fight for victories… we can’t win based on talent alone and if you’re too relaxed… you’re going to get caught out. Don’t dream… focus on the here and now and put the work in to every game…. we can’t afford to coast…

Don’t believe the hype or get carried away… we haven’t achieved anything of note yet… that’s the message I would like to have drilled in their heads….

Anyone that calls for Unal's to be sacked really needs to give their head a wobble. He is the best Manager we have had at this club for a LONG time! They need to sit down and look at the 💩 we have had in the past. Do they want another Gerrard? Bruce?

But seeing our fans moaning about going out the cup when we have a cup specialist. Come on, would Slippy G done any better? His press conference would have been, We can't expect to beat Chelsea, they are a top side... Compare that to the passion of Unai in his!

Unai can only work with what we have, we have at least 4 1st team players out with injuries (Pau, Konsa, Mings, Buendia) Bench is lacking quality due to FFP, he can't wave a magic wand!

But yeah, I hate how knee-jerk people can be.

We go again and muttered something about good bunch of lads and moments of magic. He then ended it by saying that Diaby goal will shut a few people up

He also said that we was never going to beat a team like Chelsea..

My god we had had some truly 💩 mangers with the stuff they come out with 🤣

I think behind the scenes Unai will have ripped them a new one, you could see the passion in his press conference, there is no way he was Mr nice guy in that dressing room

Come on - Sheffield United are absolute dross. We’ve been poor for weeks.

This! That result papered over the cracks, sheff UTD are garbage. Like you say we have been awful for a few weeks now.

What's going on I don't know, but this performance is just as bad as the Newcastle one.

  6. Well that was a 💩 half of football!

Play like this Sunday and it will be a hammering and it will take a week to clean the sky studios!

Cash and Bailey doesn't work does it. May as well play with 10 men. Midfield playing like slippy G is back...

What can we change? We don't really have the players to change it!

The problem isn’t that Cash is a poor player. That’s not the case It the issue is that Konsa is such a good player! It’s same with as Torres and Lenglat. The players coming in can do a job but the drop off in quality is unavoidable.

No he isn't a poor player, he just isn't suited to our style of play. Unai knows that Cash is not great when tactics need us to play that way. Hence Unai preferring Konsa.

So will we see Unai tweak the way we play?

  8. Fans today crying a river a work 🤣

Arteta needs to be banned for his celebration , ref was a homer...  never a red card, should have had a penalty....

The gift that keeps giving, absolute bunch of spunk trumpets. Never detested a fanbase as much as this lot .

Think at the time he was the highest scoring English player in 2023 not called Harry Kane

Addressing the media, Southgate said Ollie is a "good guy around the group."

He added: "Callum Wilson is carrying an injury and we were not certain he would be available.

"Ollie has started the season well. He's hit a bit of scoring form in the last couple of weeks. You have to be careful with that because you can't just go on recency bias with selection.

OMFG....  Just shows what a petty little ✊ 🍆 he is, Never comes out when picking Slabhead/Phillips or Hendo with things like that, bangs on about they always perform for England, need to pick your best players . Why no one challenges this nob in the media baffles me, so far up his ring they can see daylight.

Didnt he mention something petty about recency bias when he called him up last time. It was disgusting

Cant remember him saying that when he called up anybody else especially when Watkins had been playing well for about 9 months previously

Again, wouldn't surprise me, the bloke is an absolute melt. Cant wait to see the back of the c0ck nosed rocket polisher.

I don't think even Southgate will be able to keep Watkins out of the squad this time around

He won't play him, but he'll be in the squad

Konsa on the other hand has no chance

Sadly nothing would surprise me with him, it took him ages to make Jack a regular, all the excuses he made , I honestly would not be shocked to see Watkins left out the squad and replaced by Toney. Watkins is not only scoring goals he is creating them, works hard. What more could you ask for?

If he did leave Watkins out and  the Media challenged him he would prob change the subject...

Agree, Konsa deserves a call up but he isn't getting one, its a shame as he really does deserve a call up, he has been outstanding this season!

Yep, I get that at some point he will check on in Henderson to see if he's still got it (which is a joke in itself because the answer is so obviously no) but this isn't the weekend for that even if the game was vs psv so a tougher one for him, let him settle, get up to speed, reach a level you would consider normal and then see exactly where he is

Once again it's a weekend when Southgate will have learned absolutely nothing, which he will then do again with his March squad

You can bet that Slab head, Hendo and  Phillips will be in the squad, along with Toney, he wont pick Watkins. Will point the game he gave him a start and failed to take his chance, because he is a 🛎️🔚
