Played well. Frustrating to concede to a soft free kick through the wall

This ref giving us absolutely nothing
Nor them. Seems pretty consistent.

We don’t seem to be dominating them quite as much as the last time we played but the pace of our front three is causing them problems

Seeing Luton being bludgeoned by Arsenal is painful to watch.

I've had a variation of this chat with some friends of mine who were asserting that "gender shouldn't be self determined". I argued that surely gender can only be self determined - but that we agreed if what they really meant was that the Law should not be self affirming though. Despite accusations of engaging in a semantic argument, I think there's a massive difference. Their suggestion that gender can be determined externally is rather silly to my mind. How people identify and what the Law should do about that are very different questions that are unlikely to be answered with a simple catch-all statement.
Well how a person describes themselves is entirely up to themselves of course.
Surely the only discussion to be had though is around how the rest of society should regard a person, both regarding the law as well as social norms?

We play today. We both play at the weekend
Ergo they have a game in hand.
Their official game in hand is Chelsea
We also have a game in hand, against Man City.
After today they will have a game in hand over us but they don’t right now.
At some point they will even have two games in hand because they only play 3 matches this month.

Yes they do.
Their game in hand is Chelsea
We have 8 games in hand, as do they.

Oh I’m not saying they will win, I think they will lose that game. But I was just saying they still have in game in hand on us as LondonLax doesn’t think they do. They are going to have 2 games in hand on us soon though thankfully they will be 2 difficult fixtures and will cause some fixture congestion towards the end of the season.
Yes at some point they will have two matches in hand but right now they don’t. I think the current table is a fair reflection of where both teams are at.

Well they do. Since we play tonight it will be back to us playing 31 and Spurs 30.
We both have 8 matches remaining

When do Spurs get awarded their 3 points from their game in hand?
They don’t have a game in hand.

I’ve watched Kudus play against Villa and Spurs in the past few and I have not come away from those games thinking he was good. Probably shines against the poor teams in the division but then again it could be Moyes tactics.
He has quick feet but seems to make poor decisions with the ball. I think he could be coached into a top player though.

A point would render Spurs' game in hand almost moot (depending on how much they score). Would be huge.
Well at this stage they don’t have a game in hand. We both have 8 games remaining and both have to play all of the top 3 in those 8.
It’s a straight shootout for 4th with us starting with a 2 point advantage.

They forget West Ham are shit though. They should know that. Every time they get above their station and sack a solid manager they slide down the table and panic hire someone like Allerdyce.
It’s pretty similar to when our fans wanted Martin O’Neil out really.

Just looked a bit of a tired encounter. 2 points dropped by Spurs. We still hold the slight advantage even if we loose tomorrow. Points on the board at this stage
To be fair we also drew with West Ham just 2 matches ago so perhaps I would say a draw at Europa chasing West Ham is a reasonable result for a team chasing top 4 rather than ‘2 points dropped’.
-
8 games to go and a two point head start over Spurs. Let’s go get 4th.

Worst run of form in 67 years, Dychey doing a fine job
rumours now he will be sacked if they lose to Burnley on the weekend
A point at Newcastle is a good result for anyone though.

Time to put a 5 point lead over Spurs tomorrow night

Deserved you'd have to say. Spams box has been under constant pressure from the beginning
Except that West Ham have had the best chances this half.

Only Villa could let Timo Werner actually score against them. Why does our club always help flop strikers?
He’s playing wide left. He did set up Spurs opener.

Aye - he's been a great signing. For as poor as West Ham are overall, having him and Bowen running onto passes from Paqueta will always cause teams problems.
Only for Antonio to lumber in and trip over his feet trying to connect with the cross.

West Ham seem like they’re holding their own, albeit I’m only reading the commentary. Hopefully they can skank another goal or two. COYI.
Tottenham started well but West Ham scored from a corner and it’s been pretty even since.
As always with Tottenham matches it looks like there are more goals in this without knowing who to.

Watching West Ham is like watching us under MON.

The build up to the Newcastle Everton match had loads of talk about how good Calvert lewin is despite no goals in about 5 months and only 3 all season. Am I the only one that thinks he is actually a fraud of a striker? Like real dog shit. Lots of nearly getting on the end or just missing a cross because he is so poor he is never in the right position
I think he has the attributes to be a good striker.
There was a period under Ancelotti where he was clearly better than Watkins was at that time. Everton have had dogshit managers since then whilst Emery has made Watkins into a real star.
I guess it shows the value of a good management team.
