I’ve met him a few times. Nice guy. It’s all an act and a lot of it is scripted. He does what he does and he makes money doing it. Fair play I say.

He does live match commentary. How can it be scripted?

You think? Political parties don't like losers. Losing twice is not going to look good for him.

Plus he'll be older than Biden is now next time out and undoubtedly be up against the younger man the whole nation craves frankly.

If you are talking about who runs in 4 years time then who knows but Trump and his MAGA affiliated congressmen are still going to be around in 2025 with Trump banging on about stolen presidential elections and his people in the Senate/House of Representatives blocking legislation from reaching Biden.

  3. I guess the point he is making there is that the poor start to the season might be down to a squad adapting to a new manager’s style and if they continue this form right from the off next season they will be a top half side?

Here's to the tan man not winning.

If Ukraine can hold out until November and Biden wins, Ukraine might be able to make life so bitter for Putin that he has to withdraw, Chechnya\Afghanistan have both shown that Russia can be cut so many times that it has to cut its losses.

Biden is in power now and can’t get funding approved. It seems likely that not a lot changes in November even if he stays in power.

Say what you want about their achievements, how good and stacked they are, what a good coach he is, their football bores the **** tits off me.

At least Liverpool, as unbearable as their fans are, are mightily exciting to watch. Their dynamic counterattacking football will beat out Pep's endless plodding passing for entertainment value all day long.

Yes, I always found his Barcelona boring to watch as well.

Endless short passing back and forth between Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta before someone eventually plays in Messi, once the defence has gone to sleep 🥱

For a shite mid table team Chelsea get an absolute tonne of penalties don’t they?

Chelsea are actually pretty good in attack. Their Xg is typically much higher than the number of goals they score.

Their biggest problem is they have no striker to finish those chances.

They moan at Chelsea because they aren’t winning anything and not close to getting back into the CL. The players were expensive but not actually top tier.

City are possibly the best club in the world, paying top money and winning trophies.

Nobody would complain about being there.

They only became the best club in the world once Guardiola arrived there.

Emi would have saved the FK though.

He’s not superman. He would have been covering the other side if the goal like any keeper.

I guarantee I won’t be disappointed. Look at what we’ve achieved with what we’ve got, then imagine a gear above that. Extra income will not be spent on cast offs from Man U but that money, with the lure of UCL will see us get deals over the line with the likes of Nico Williams, who previously were not convinced enough. Im not sure the wider world understands the opportunity that Emery sees, he won’t say it out loud but UCL is his target, his only target.

It will bring some extra revenue, it might get a new signing over the line or help with sponsorship negotiations. What it won’t do is turn us into the new Tottenham or Arsenal. The same way it hasn’t for Newcastle and didn’t for Leicester.

I would predict we are more likely than not to finish outside the Champions League the season after and I expect the club would be planning for that scenario in their spending.

Are yo crazy? It will make a massive difference to the calibre of player we will bring in this summer which will be pivotal to us climbing higher next season. Unai has worked miracles with the current squad but we are a couple of engines down and running on fumes as we approach the runway. Massive upgrade ahead if we make it.

I think you might be disappointed. We will not be spending at a level that assumes we are now have Champions League revenue for the foreseeable.

I’m suddenly feeling pretty chill about the ‘race for Champions League’. I read that Spurs forum post saying they’re not that interested in UCL anymore and it made me think. People get sucked into this idea that if we make the UCL next season it will change the future of the club forever. I’m not so sure. I think the next few years are about enjoying the Unai ride, aiming to get consistently better each year and trying to compete for trophies. Look at Newcastle this year…the big prize of the UCL turned into ash in their mouths. Just enjoy the journey and dream of a trophy…be it UECL this year, domestic or Europa next year or whatever

Oh absolutely. Making the Champions League is not going to change our world the way some people seem to think.

Would love it if they stay up, especially if it means everton get relegated.

Luton have played some really impressive football throughout the season, although they seem to concede so many late goals. They do remind me a lot of Blackpool.

Can't remember a team conceding so many late goals and losing so many leads before in the premier league, vut their ability to score (and determination) means they are capable of picking up some points.

    It’s the orange shirts 😉

Played well. But seems like he always concedes at least four and we always lose when he plays

    Not sure about that.

I believe he has played 6 times for us this season and we have won five of those matches (tonight being his first loss).

I remember last season he was keeper in our 2-0 win at Tottenham as well.

He’s no Martinez but he’s been better under Emery than he used to be.

Really? If Emi was in goal, don't you think that would have been very different? The wall was poor, but good god it was a grubber of shot that.

We gonna be talking about the Foden free kick, well, ever again? No, it was a shite freekick. The wall should have done better, Olson should have done better.

A keeper can’t cover the whole goal on a free kick from that close. They rely on a wall to cover off one portion so they are free to concentrate on another. If the wall doesn’t do their job that is the fault of the wall, not the keeper.

It's crazy that they don't even step toe around it, they talk about the strength of their bench but never even mention that city have spent near £2bn compared to villas circa £500m (?) and not only does the disparity kill the league and city winning it for a 4th time would be **** shite it's all built on cheating

But the PL is so exciting who cares?

And when we play Brentford they won’t mention how much more we have spent either.  The Premier League has been about the biggest budgets winning the league for as long as I have followed it.
