It was ok but not great. 6/10.

Fantastic world building but the plot just meandered all over the place.

Not even in the same league as The Last of Us.

I couldn’t get into The Last of Us, it took itself way too seriously for my tastes. Fallout’s irreverence is much more up my street. Yes the plot was just an excuse to tie scenes/episodes together but I found it much more fun overall.

  2. I have a long enough memory to remember what a basket case Liverpool were before Klopp.

They will quickly revert back there once he leaves.

Hilarious how many people have such difficulty separating their emotions about a rival manager from their analysis of his record.

Pep could not do what Unai has done, it would not be the correct project for that manager. Can Unai do what Pep has done? Undoubtedly.

    I have some doubts.

I think the management of big ego players at somewhere like Man City (or Arsenal or PSG) takes a different style of management than what Emery provides.

Emery’s ultra detailed approach seems to work best with players who are more humble and willing to take it on board. From what I understand, the players at Arsenal didn’t bother with all the extra hours of homework Emery sets for his players and ultimately would not buy into his philosophy.

It seems like there are ‘horses for courses’ amongst football managers, not a stand alone ‘best manager in the world’.

I get the same in Sweden. People just respond in English, even if I’m confident I’ve said it correctly.

I am sure they are just trying to be polite, ‘making my day a bit easier’, but it feels a bit patronising really.

    I learnt off the best

Got petrol earlier, walked in, young lad behind the counter, smiled and spoke to him in German

    "nummer drei bitte"

Instant response "that's €24.99* please" in perfect English "thank you have a good night"

How do they know? What gives it away, it was too instant to only be the black country twang, he had to have anticipated it as I walked to the counter

And how am I ever meant to learn German?! Even the kid at the petrol station talks English to me

    * don't judge me, it's €24.99 or €25.01

Can I double check something with this US money. The money doesn't go to Ukraine does it? It's basically the US government spending money on US based arms companies to increase their operational capacity, and then donating some of the additional weapons/ammo to Ukraine and Israel?

    In the very simplified version

    It’s both.

Of the $61 billion allocated to Ukraine almost $23 billion goes to the US industrial military complex to manufacture weapons for the US army. That frees up capacity for the US to donate old weapons to Ukraine from existing stockpiles.

There is also $14 billion allocated for the US military to purchase new weapons from the manufactures and send them directly to Ukraine.

Another $9 billion goes to Zelenskiy’s government in the form of ‘forgivable loans’. This money is meant to help pay salaries, pensions and other expenses.

The rest covers the running costs for the US military (their surveillance assistance, the training on the weapons, logistics etc etc)

  7. It seems like nothing has actually changed.

We had an option to take up the last year of his contract and we could have used it at anytime. We have chosen to use it now.

I would say this move is all about media management.

It demonstrates his commitment when there have been increasing numbers of stories about him being poached this summer and it creates some headlines countering the gossip.

We don’t want those kind of unsettling stories for the rest of the run in so have tried to head them off.

We've played 15 more games than Tottenham.

Does european football really need to be like that.

Surely you could have a cup where the winner doesn't need to play 15 to 20 games to win it. Presumably it’s just money driving that.

    You’re sounding like Klopp / Guardiola 😅

I don't want to pit them against each other, but he seems to have the qualities that Ramsey has, pace power, running with the ball, finishing. But also seems to have something Ramsey doesn't which is vision and weight of pass. In the unfortunate event that we might need to sell Ramsey for FFP purposes, we quietly have made some excellent business in replacing him.

I can’t see any club being mad enough to spend big money on Ramsey when he’s not able to demonstrate he is clear of a serious and reoccurring fitness issue.

Ramsey will be with us next season for sure.

I think they can both play together though, with Ramsey playing wide and Rogers more centrally.

    8 million you’re having a laugh.

At his age, if he’d been at Chelsea the fee would have been £25m.

Well he was at Man City just last season and the fee was nowhere near that when he moved to Middlesbrough.

Man City obviously thought he was talented enough to take him on and he’s played at all England youth levels, however he gave an interview where he said he didn’t fit into Guardiola’s rigid playing system.

It seems like he’s always had the talent but needed a manager who could work to his strengths.

Let's be honest here, Cov would've been dicked by City and I think somehow, watching United celebrate like they just won the WC after barely clinching pens against a midtable Championship side they blew a 3-0 lead against is more embarrassing than if they had lost the damn thing. Propah smalltime m8

Their fans cleared out of there pretty quick smart. They must have been pretty embarrassed with that.

Trophyless again. Well done Todd 👏

I think they will be better next season than this.

They look very much like a work in progress with young immature players who will like get better each season as they get more experience.

Emery had him at Villareal. Brought him up through the B Team. And never once looked interested even when Was it Bournemouth were going to have him and he failed the medical. Even despite selling Ings.

Not sure what Emery thinks of him but he did seem to play him regularly at Villarreal. Maybe he was too expensive to be our backup striker and we went for the cheaper Durán instead?
