  1. The greatest heavyweight in history :notworthy:

    ;)

    - Quality KO from Randall Bailey

    - May Mosley face off

Pacquiao talking of retiring again, wonder if the Pactards will say he's ducking Floyd........

He's not even the greatest HW in his family

As for ATG status, probably in the mid-20's I'd have said. He's never even been undisputed champ, that says a lot.

Top 20 ATG is nothing to be sniffed at in all honesty.

Is it wrong to want to see Audley Harrison in a world title fight?

I didn't say it wasn't to be sniffed at....it's not bad considering his horrible losses and multiple canvas visits and he's adapted a style that suits him and his glass chin and is dominating the division, albeit the worst HW division in living memory.

It's the berks that try to say he'd beat up Tyson, Lewis etc that get my goat - there's even a thread tonight banging on about how he'd dominate Ali :crylaugh:

  3. Klitschko fight worth watching?

    :crylaugh::crylaugh::crylaugh::crylaugh:

    Thought so.

What's the deal with doping in boxing these days? Is it a regular yet rarely spoke of issue?

It's an issue that is gaining more publicity these days because of Floyd's demands for Random Olympic style testing. The current testing by the commissions are inept and need big changes. We wont know who is taking HGH and other performance enhancers until there is a revamp of the testing system.

Doesn't help when the "best P4P fighter in the world" is opposed to decent testing though.

It truly was **** awful mate....all of Wlads fights are boring as **** but this one went off the charts - Steward is the one that has made him all safety first to protect his china chin and even he was screaming at him to throw punches and just put the guy out of his misery

All the Krauts are orgasming over it on the boxing boards as per usual though - can't believe 51,000 people paid to watch that sack of shit.

I watched the fight with an old mate who I hadn't seen for years who used to follow boxing years ago when Tyson/Lewis/Holyfield were the stars, and he was disgusted....the phrase "what the hell happened to footwork and head movement" was used several times....

Wlads next KO loss can't come soon enough for me, the HW division is ridiculously bad these days. Not his fault but I'm tired of the bullshit people talk about him, he's an awful, awful champion.

  4. I doubt the Pac fight will start that early, they usually start around 4-4.30, sometimes even later. Ah just checked, it's in Texas so it's central time, yep might be 3 then.

I've got a feeling Clottey is going to have some moments in this one, too. Don't think he'll win but he might prove a tougher obstacle than Cotto was.

  5. I can't believe the amount of people who eat it with toast and cheese.

    Sounds absolutely vile.

I use it to flavor plain porridge or tasteless soups.

    It's quite delicious that way.

But spreading it on bread with cheese? Sounds awful imo.

I'm with you on that.....with cheese on toast the only way to go is Worcester sauce, or just make Welsh rarebit.

I don't dislike Marmite but I don't like it enough to buy it either. I view it in the same way as I view dope, if someone offers it to me and it costs nothing then I'll give it a go, but I wouldn't have it in the house ordinarily.

Used to drink Bovril all the time when I was a kid though, every Saturday night at Cradley speedway, those were the days....

  6. Your entitled to your opinion as much as I'm entitled to mine, and i would bet that your feelings would change if it was infact you in James Bulgers parents shoes.

Well if I were in her shoes the chances are i wouldn't have left my son outside a busy butchers shop to start with but ignoring that , I cant say 100% for sure how i would react , but based on my life experience so far I'd be fairly certain i'm not going to suddenly turn into a killer ... it's one thing to post it on the internet , it's another thing to actually take a life and no disrespect to anyone , i fully understand the sentiment , but none of us are going go out and take a life ....

Bingo. I made that point pages ago, and it's a good one. If you're a good parent you don't let toddlers of that age out of your sight. The mother isn't to blame for the crime being commited obviously but it's fair to say had she been a better parent then it wouldn't have happened.

  7. The country would be a safer place for my children if scumbags like these were dealt with properly and removed. If that means the death penelty then so be it.

Actually the country is a safe place for your children, providing you're there to protect them from things like this. Bulgers mother wasn't, and I suspect that behind all the bitterness and anger towards the killers she feels a ton of guilt too. The one thing about this case that amazes me is that a tiny child was allowed to wander off with 2 total strangers without the parent(s) noticing. Could that happen to your child, do you think?

Again, suggesting the death penalty for minors is in my opinion ridiculous.

  8. If someone murdered a child of mine i would make it my business to know what they were doing every second of everyday for the rest of their life.

Of course if i had my way, this wouldn't be long cos they would be swinging from the gallows about half hour after being convicted.

You'd honestly be comfortable with the death penalty for two 10 year old children? I wouldn't, and I'm a strong supporter of bringing it back in certain cases.

  9. I had 3 litres of Amber, it's a cracking drink

Oh I know it is.....I just can't cope with cider any more as it costs me more in Rennie than it does in alcohol  So 3 litres of cider, a bottle of white wine, and half a litre of rum? I'd have been **** up after the cider

I hate you, you no-hangover having bastard

  10. Last night I had Amber jack, a bottle of white wine and half a litre of Cuban rum

Got up out of bed half an hour ago!

    No hangover though, quality :-)

Half a litre of Gin and I'm **** for the entire next day, it's just not fair that you can throw a bottle of wine and cider into the mixer and feel OK

I know......my lad was chucking his guts up all afternoon :-)

I've got to ask....how much amber jack did you have?

It's rare too much drink makes me spew, in fact the last time I spewed from drink was an easy one to remember it was after we lost to Chelsea in the Cup Final. Funnily enough it was a tactical spew and I carried on to drink for a few more hours. Sometimes puking is the right way to go!

  12. It's funny when people scream 'child killer' about these two no-one ever mentions that they were children themselves when all this happened. Awful, tragic case but I have real difficulty in writing someone off for something they did when they were only 10 years old, no matter how bad it was.

Had they been 8 years older I'd have happily strung the bastards up ( that's just to stop Snowy thinking I was coming round to his way of thinking)

Oh, I think we're not too far apart, mate. Apart from the happily stringing people up bit, I think we're on exactly the same page. I don't think my comments on the situation would be any different from yours (especially the bit I have highlighted - a desperately sad situation).

    See - we don't always disagree. :D

Funny that.....I got accused of being pedantic and argumentative on another site the other day.

Oh how I laughed when I saw they'd spelt 'argumentative' wrong, 15 posts later they had to concede defeat. Actually they didn't conceded, they just logged off. T'was a moral victory though.

(is it just me or does that sound like every paragraph Sue Townsend ever wrote?)

They are technically a child killer though.....

Actually, technically they are a child-child killer but lets not split hairs. This is one case where I actually feel sorry for the 'system', meaning they've got to protect the anonymity etc and keep the wolves from the door until the day these 2 die. Very sad if you ask me.
