I stopped caring a couple of years ago, looked at how much money it was costing for me n the kid to get to VP, pay for parking, tickets for the game, summert to eat etc and what I was getting for that money. I was getting 2 hours parking, 2 trays of lukewarm chips, 2 bottles of pop with no lid and a football team that passed the ball sideways a lot then hoofed it forward, lost it, chased(loosest term) around after it, sometimes won it back, sometimes got it back when the other team had a shot, when they got it back they started the whole sideways,hoof,chase,retrieve cycle again with no desire, no passion and no direction and I decided that I wasn't getting any value for the £80 to £100 I was shelling out per game

I started going down to watch Telford, I still get 2 hours parking, 2 trays of hot chips, 2 bottles of pop with lids and the added bonus of a team that trys to attack the other team, a team that has a bit of fire in their bellies, they may not be the best players in the world but they are at the bottom and the only way is up, every one of those players play to get noticed by higher teams scouts so they put a shift in for the shirt.

It's this attitude that has rekindled my love of football but only for the football not spoilt by sky's money, it's like football used to be in the days when you could actually tackle an opponent.

On a side note, Hereford United were wound up owing £168000. The whole town lost its club for half the weekly wage of Wayne Rooney. Football is ****. The new premier league deal works out at £10,000,000 per game, how much of this will filter down to the lower leagues, I don't know, but I can bet that it will be a shitload less than what ends up in agents and "top" players bank accounts.

i will start to give a shit when the people in charge, the manager and the players start to give a shit, the billy big bollocks attitude that they are at a top club so don't need to try anymore is depressing, the money they get for tippy tippy side to side not arsed football is depressing, the tactical ineptness of the manager is depressing, the lack of any direction or decisions from the owner is depressing. Doug was doddering old fool but he would of pulled the trigger on Lambert a long time ago with good reason.

We employ someone to raise the brand awareness at the same time that we have a manager in charge who is doing his best to turn the brand into a laughingstock.

The decline has been going on for years, look at Coventry, bouncing along at the bottom for a few years, staying up by the skin of their teeth then one year their luck runs out, they pull out banners saying "we'll be back" still waiting for their triumphant return. Unfortunately we have become like Coventry, and when our luck runs out we will plunge into the depths never to return just like them, oh and Fulham, and Wigan, and Blackburn, and Bolton,

Randy will sell to the right person for Randy, what would he care about the Villa once he has washed his hands of it, just like if you or I had a house that we loved, invested time and money into it, got a bit bored of it and put it up for sale, you aren't going to be bothered if the new owner is going to invest in doing it up, all you are bothered with is getting the price you want for it and moving on.

You could say much the same thing about clothes, shoes, cars, food or anything else where there is a wide spectrum of prices for a product.  

but clothes, shoes or food doesn't show you that you are getting closer to your demise when you look at them, a car can as they all have clocks in them, tick tock tick tock, a bit nearer to death we all are.

My earlier point was that you could spend loads on a watch and all it would do is point out that every time you look at it it reminds you that you are a little bit closer to popping your clogs, the same as if you bought a market special, only you would have a bit more spends left to have fun with, but then again, if you can afford to blow a fortune on an expensive timepiece then i guess you would have the funds for a massive jolly on a regular basis too.

expensive watches are IMO a waste of money, you can have a £5 market special on your wrist or a £25000 Rolex, the result is the same every time you look at it, what you see is the passing of time or put another way it shows you that you have so many minutes/hours less to live than the last time you looked. 

Another wasted season, as fans we deserved effort, we deserved entertainment, we got lethargy, we got bored, worst of all we have got used to having no hope or ambition. I hope this take over is the start of something sustainable and not peter out after a couple of years ala Lerner.

 

 

It looks to be mortally wounded for me and Im not sure he has the fight in him for another season.

 

If there is no takeover and no increase investment from the owner he would be best walking as ultimately we will be relegated next season anyway.

 

I've seen this a lot on here and I'm not sure I totally agree. Let's say Lambert get's 3 £7m players in the summer, let's say a LB and two central midfielders, one more defensive and one more a trequartista. Add to that Benteke, Okore, Kozak, Carruthers, Gardner, Zog and Gabby back to fitness. Plus Grealish, Robinson and maybe DJ and one or two more pushing through from the academy and the current crop being a year older and wiser. I'd say we'd be mid-table barring another Culverhouse/Karsa mental happening and a crazy injury crisis or two.

 

Hmmm- has any of our kids bar Gabby been good enough to play for any other side in the prem in the last 10 years? I don't think hoping the kids will be alright is a good tactic any more. I won't get fooled again on that one.

Took the kids to the seaside today and the drive back was single lane for about 20 miles with nowhere to overtake

When it was 30 the car in front did 28 , when it was 40 they did 37 and when it was 50 they did 45

Yeah I should have more patience but **** me they pissed me off

If you can't drive a car safely at 50 through a 30 zone you shouldn't be allowed on the road ... Simples

30 is the magic number where if you hit someone they have a greater chance of survival, 50 and its a death on your conscience.

I decided that a normal door on my bathroom was taking up too musch space when it was open so I replaces it with a quality argos plastic folding consetina door. The new door was about 2 inches too tall for the frame so it needed cutting down to size, a normal person would of fetched a hacksaw and done the job with no problems, but me just out of the army had kept hold of my issue survival type knife, a big heavy brute as sharp as a razor, I fetched that and started to trim the bottom 2 inches off of the door with it, anyway long story short, at some point I slipped and 80% severed my index finger, just a bit of flesh and skin holding it on, 4 tee towels full of blood and some ruined timberland jeans later and the hospital go it sewed back on.

TBH Ive waited years for the demise of Manure and I'm loving it, every decision that goes against them, every game they dont win, every time Moyes whinges on the telly,every time an obnoxious armchair supporter who has never even been to Manchester moans about not winning, I'm loving it, long may it continue. I look forward to a time when they are playing in a half empty stadium because all their glorhunting daytrippers have jumped onto the next big thing, when all their big players have left because they cant get champions league, when the Glazers decide they cant be arsed, when thier debt gets bigger and bigger and when i can go into a sports shop nowhere near Manchester and not have to walk through the isle of red manc mechandise. 

working on a house doing the electrics, customer came out with a brew for me, got down the ladder and started chatting to her then for some reason my mouth came out with "so when are you due then?" remarking on her rather large belly, to which she replied quite sheepishly, "I'm not pregnant".
