Let's go, Villa. Need to keep up our form and get a win here.

I'd say this is rough .
That area in Jersey looks like a warzone. Down here in Portsmouth it wasn't that bad at all. We expected far worse and I was on full geek mode last night reading weather forums etc. "If it shifts a bit further North we're in trouble" and comments like "this is ominous", "Michael Fish moment". In the end, it stayed further South.

Can't believe Luton have actually won a game
They could be worse off I suppose. Sheffield United only have 1 point!

The Sky Sports live commentary is quite good at the moment (largely thanks to Merson).
"Aston Villa are a big club. They are doing really well at the moment. To win 11 games in a row at home is some achievement. I don't care who you are, it takes some doing.
"Unai Emery has done brilliantly since arriving at Villa Park. He's got them scoring goals, lots of goals. There are also goals all over the pitch.
"If Villa get into the top four, they will be pulling up massive trees. The manager will get knighted".
"Villa are 10 points better off than at same stage last season and have scored 16 more goals.
This is the most goals Villa have scored after their first nine games (23).
Nineteen points at this stage is the club's second-best return in the Premier League era after 1998/99 (21).".
"Aston Villa's astonishing run
Aston Villa haven't dropped a point at home in the Premier League since being beaten by Arsenal in February. They've beaten 11 teams in a row:
March 4: Aston Villa 1-0 Crystal Palace
March 18: Aston Villa 3-0 Bournemouth
April 8: Aston Villa 2-0 Nottingham Forest
April 15: Aston Villa 3-0 Newcastle
April 25: Aston Villa 1-0 Fulham
May 13: Aston Villa 2-1 Tottenham
May 28: Aston Villa 2-1 Brighton
August 20: Aston Villa 4-0 Everton
September 16: Aston Villa 3-1 Crystal Palace
September 30: Aston Villa 6-1 Brighton
October 22: Aston Villa 4-1 West Ham" -
2-0 now .

I've just watched Rooney be interviewed on Sky Sports Football. "Errr, obviously, I'm still working things out, err, obviously...".
He seemed a tad nervous (or hungover) bless him.

I've been into the office a few times this week. I thought I probably should to give some "face time" to my team for those in (not that they can't reach me remotely and I chat to them all daily anyway). It was like a ghost town, hardly anyone in. I then had to book meeting rooms to have delicate conversations with people that I could do quite easily at home with nobody else listening in. The travel in wasn't nice with the rain (and it being dark!), and as I usually start work at 7AM it was early starts for both days. I didn't take in my own lunch so popped down to the restaurant / canteen and it was £4 for a basic ham and cheese sandwich! I've also realised that I get so much more done at home. I'll probably aim for a day or so in the office per week going forward but for now .

Approaching cars at night when I was walking on the rural road my grandparents lived on when I visited them. Something about the dark, quiet stillness of the night being interrupted by a distant car engine that grows louder, and then the white haze cast upon the treetops and then the beams themselves as the car appears and the driver has me in his sights, exposed on the side of the road. Sometimes I would hide behind a tree before they could see me.
When I'd return home, cars and traffic were everywhere, and more perilous, but they didn't bother me at all. Only in the country.
Slightly related, but this movie had its moments when I was a kid.
