  1. I liked them when I saw them live, put on a really good show (even if I almost got crushed to death as I was right at the front...) but I would never listen to their recorded stuff. Only song I have on the computer is All My Life which became a bit of a soundtrack to our time at 6th form. But that doesn't make it a good song, so did Toxic by Britney Spears and Hey Ya by Outkast.

  2. I was thinking about this earlier, discounting any hours you might use a PC at work, do you spend more time for pleasure on a computer or watching TV?

With me it's an easy call as I have no TV, but I think I'd probably spend more time on the computer anyway. Probably about an hour or 2 a day on the computer and half hour watching TV. With the exception of when there's football on and I'll watch that, I still do that now just at the pub. Now I'm home it's different as there's less to take up my time so I've been on here a bit more and I've got a TV here.

If I'd asked this question as little as probably 4 years ago TV would win by a country mile but I reckon it will be quite close now.

The only grey area in this is whether watching films on a laptop like I often do at uni is classed as watching TV or using a computer, I think I'll class it in TV as you're not interacting with the computer, just watching it. That brings the hours closer together but it's still computer for me.

(Just for Rob's information I'd count watching porn as using the computer...)

  3. Mine was borderline tasteless, your was out of order paddy.

Fair enough. You could argue there's been worse on here that have stayed but I can definitely see where you're coming from.

I mean there's even a joke on the front page about New Orleans, which is quite surprising that one slipped through (admittedly it wasn't as bad as mine but it doesn't give a good impression)

  4. I liked JG too, as a man manager he's crap, but you don't need that in the England job, you just need to coach them, I think he'd do a good job, he even got Collymore performing for a bit. He's a great coach, it's just the transfer/man management was a lot more dodgy.

So JG should get it, but would he have a hope in hell? Of course not, if it's fist face I'll probably cry.

Pearce wouldn't really be my choice, didn't he forget to pick a keeper for his first game at notts forest?

  5. I wish we'd give Hendrie a rolling contract that way we might actually get some form of consistent perormance from him.

At the moment I'd say Hendrie is still the better player but Davis will be better than Hendrie in a couple of years I'm sure of that

  6. hmm, since our central midfielders are useless at liking up with the front two maybe we could try Baros as a support striker behing Phillips and JPA?

Surely it would work better with JPA behind Baros and Phillips as Angel likes to go deep. That's what I reckon anyway.

  7. I'm sure many people have suggested this so far, but reading through 6 pages isn't really my thing so I'll say it anyway. If Milan signs then we could use Angel as that attacking midfielder we've been missing so much, he'll happily chase around, likes playing deep, can score from long range and really will cause problems, ok so he's not as good defensively as some but we've got Gav for that, it's worth trying anyway. As an attacking midfielder you get more room to work your magic too unless they sit a midfielder very deep so it could be ideal for him, he could score a lot of goals like that I reckon.

How happy he'd be playing there is another matter.

  8. I'd have t ogo with football, as much as I love music, and love going to gigs, nothing beats football and since I've been out here I've missed football far more than I've missed live music.

I did miss playing in a band though until we got round to recording the cd, that was the side of music I missed just sitting round messing about with other musicians and playing live.

    But still missed football more...

  9. Here's a question - where do people think that squad would finish if they were in the current Premier League?

    I'd say fourth at best.

Well I reckon some of those players might just be past it now, Earl Barrett, Bozzie, Yorke, Daley and Stan are hardly in their prime, I'd say relegation! :D

  10. This beggars the question, is it refreshing that a referee shows a human side, or does it undermine his authority on the footy park (ala Angus Deaton on HIGNFY)

I go for human side, he shouldn't have climbed on the cars but other than that it's just a bad case of being drunk, I wouldn't suspend him for that.

And it's nothing like the same scale as Angus Deayton! Poll isn't snorting cocaine off the backside of a prostitute (that was what happened wasn't it?)
