So who would take a loss tonight if it guarenteed it got him the sack?
I think I would.
No, I always want us win any game and I think we will tonight. However, I do want Gerrard to go.-

My experience was pretty much the same as yours for this game. My dad took me too, but I was 10 and although we had tickets for the away end the stewards weren't opening up a section of the stands up as we had arrived, because of this and given my age, think my dad thought we'd be safer in the home end. Eventually got in (missed our first goal) but was more worried by the crowd trouble in the ground than the game itself. To be fair the Villa fans were giving as good as they got ! Never been back
!
Yep, very similar. We were silent throughout the game and my dad knew I was scared.Never been back either and never will. I would never take my young lad to that place.

Genuinely, the Sty. I was 12 years of age and it was 1987 when I went with my dad to that horrid place.
Unwisely we went without a ticket and couldn’t get in the away end. We therefore had to go in their end and even though we won 2-1 (brace from Garry Thompson), I absolutely hated every minute. It was scary.
The ground, surrounding area and their supporters. Truly awful back then and probably not much better now.

That five year contract he signed in March this year seems a very shrewd move by the club.
With Kamara and the Ramsey brothers, some very young and exciting talent in and around our midfield for years to come hopefully.

Three points and nothing less will do. They are pretty woeful.
Hopefully Cash will be back and if we lose Bailey at least we have Buendia, who is overdue a start.
Watkins, Ings or Archer is really the only other consideration. Ings for me here.
Martinez
Cash Konsa Mings Young
Luiz
McGinn Ramsey
Buendia Coutinho
Ings
Subs: Olsen, Bogarde, Bednarek, Chambers, Sanson, Dendoncker, Bailey, Watkins, Archer.
No excuses now and please no more “it’s on me”. O-3 to us and no more injuries please! UTV

5-3 up in the Efl Trophy and they still manage to get a straight red card.
word removed-ishness obviously runs through all age levels there
In all fairness to them, Tranmere did play extremely negative and were timewasting throughout the game. This clearly irritated the Leeds coaching team and players.-

I've always been curious as to why the club don't list the coaching staff on the club website.
It would be good to see how we compare with other clubs since we are always talking about being ambitious.
I know we would employ plenty of others within the academy staff but how does this list compare to other teams staff ?
Sporting Director : Johan Lange
Head Coach : Steven Gerrard
Assistant : Neil Critchley
Assistant : Gary MCallister
GK Coach : Neil Cutler
Technical Coach : Tom Culshaw
Set Pieces Coach : Austin MacPhee
Coach : Aaron Danks
Head of Fitness and Conditioning : Jordan Milsom
Performance Director : Jeremy Oliver
Physical Performance Scientist : Aman Singh Shergill
Strength and Conditioning Coach : Oli Stevenson
Physical Performance Coach : Patrick Moore
Head of Nutrition : Marcus Hannon
Psychologist : Martin Littlewood
Head of Sport Medicine and Science : Ricky Shamji
Lead Physio : Alan Smith
Physio : Steven Polley
Physio : Rob Marshall
Lead Analyst : Scott Mason
Head of Performance Analyst : David Stewart
Performance Analyst : Scott Adey-Linforth
Performance Analyst : Joseph Ure
Head of Research : Frederik Leth

Operations Manager : Matt Bennett
Player Care Manager : Phil Roscoe
Loan Player Manager : Mile Jedinak
Development Coach : Nick Haycock
Academy Manager : Sean Verity
Chief Scout : Robert Mackenzie
Scout : Kristian Heames
Probably a good time to highlight this again. What appears to be an incredibly bloated set up? 32 names on this list.
I’m still puzzled as to what Aaron Danks is offering us?
I wonder if some or all Premier League clubs have a similar number of people working for them?

Has any player in our squad improved since Gerrard has been here? I honestly cant think of one? -
Positive - Clean sheet
Application and attitude was decent, but boy we’re an awful watch. Just absolutely clueless going forward. We’re basically hoping a hoof forward creates a chance or praying for a moment of magic.
Project Gerrard is badly letting us down and now holding us back. We need to act now before it’s too late.

I've just sat down and taken stock of my horror collection, I did post it on here before but that was probably about 2 years ago now and its grown quite a bit since then, I've spoilered it as its a pretty long list.
Anyone got any recommendations or is there any obvious choices missing?

If we can keep Daly, Dali and Hanson fit for most or all of the season, we could do really well. The improvement in quality offensively now is there for all to see.
From the two league games I’ve seen, we are a really enjoyable watch. Confidence is clearly building with them as well now. We seem to have some real belief this season.

Leeds away is always a tough place to go but last season we showed them how good we can be away from home with that 0-3 victory.
Currently the squad seem to be dropping like flies so by next weekend my suggested team could drastically change. Hopefully Cash will be back but the expected loss of Kamara and Digne is now another big blow. Dendoncker and Augustinsson to come in you’d expect with Ash covering either full back position from the bench.
So Coutinho or Ramsey on the left is the only decision I think Gerrard needs to make for this one. Personally, I would go Ramsey for his running power and he’ll cover Augustinsson better I feel. Chambers and the lesser spotted Sanson or Nakamba to cover midfield from the bench as well.
I’m almost wishing the World Cup to come now so we can wrap our squad up in cotton wool for a month. We’re starting to look a little stretched.
Martinez
Cash Konsa Mings Augustinsson
Luiz
McGinn Dendoncker
Bailey Ramsey
Watkins
Subs: Olsen, Young, Bednarek, Chambers, Sanson, Coutinho, Buendia, Ings, Archer.
I’d happily take a point from this game now but a 0-1 win would be amazing. Just no more injuries please! UTV
Looks like Cash is still out, so Young to carry on at RB and Augustinsson for his first start?
Nakamba to take the other place on the bench possibly?
Martinez
Young Konsa Mings Augustinsson
Luiz
McGinn Dendoncker

He’s not wearing any protective boot or extra strapping in the team photo released today, so surely a good sign. -

I have to put aside a number of concerns and frustrations with this World Cup in order to enjoy the simple fact that this may be the one and only time I see Wales at the finals.
Would have been immensely better in the summer and in a country that has some footballing pedigree and a right to host the big show but it is what it is.
It’s not going to be moved, it’s not going to be cancelled and there’ll be naff all other football happening for 6 weeks so will I watch it? Hell yes (although with caveats).
Exactly this for me as well. -
In all honesty, I really wasn’t up for a World Cup in Russia, was expecting extreme fan violence, and an overall PR disaster. However, it really was a triumph, with many enjoyable games.
So you never know, Qatar could be a good one as well, however unlikely at this point.

Made a little bit of history as well today, first time we’ve achieved back to back wins in the WSL. Very well done

Southgate is going to need a decent World Cup to hold onto his job now. It’s possible he can still, I remember Bobby Robson was in trouble going into Italia 90 and look how that turned out.
He needs to just play players in their natural position and go back to some basics. He may recover, he may not.
If not, I expect Potter or Howe will be favourites in January to take over.
-
One more game after this before the World Cup and we’re playing this turgid rubbish.
Any excitement for the tournament is quickly evaporating.
Saka at left wing back? Dear me

Gravy question. We do buy instant for quickness, usually Asda Extra Special Beef granules and we’ll have this with whatever roast/meat we’re having. However, I’ve never tried any of the other gravy granule flavours available (ie Lamb, Chicken, Turkey Vegetable)?Do people buy different gravy to match the meat they’re eating? Seems mad to me, but am I missing out?

I really wanted Gerrard when he was first hinted at coming, as I thought he would take us to the next level. Although young, I honestly thought also that he’d be capable of boxing with the big boys. He would bring much needed energy and most of all, a name that everybody knew around the world.
However, he’s been nothing short of a disaster. The squad look totally devoid of confidence and ideas. Last night we were scared and playing not to lose, rather than gunning for a win. The coaching set up is an absolute farce to go with this. Does Danks even exist? This cannot go on much longer.
The “Continuous Improvement” line is looking more laughable day by day and we’re sleepwalking into a relegation fight again. It really is poor and we’re a boring watch it’s sad to say. “It’s on me” is wearing thin now and when you start blaming players, you’re slowly heading for the door.
Fed up fan today. UTV
