  1. Freak goal for them and not going to blame the keeper for that. This team is a work in progress still and Jedinak will certainly help.  Disappointing result but a lot of positives and a couple more signings, we will see these type of games out I'm sure.  Need a stronger bench over the course of the season though.  UTV

For clarity I'm not saying he's as good as McGrath! Only in style.

If he turns out to be half as good as McGrath was though DDID, we will have recruited one helluva player and someone that can greatly assist our quest to get out of this division.

Very pleased with all the signings so far and happy with the future links. Seems to know exactly what was needed.  Glad we're not going to exotic sounding unknowns from France,  Italy etc but going for players who have done it in England already and many of them in teams promoted from the Aston Villa founded football league.

When discussing the suitability of RDM for the job in hand at this club as a lot of people did question his appointment,  you do have to remember that he has previously promoted a team so he knows what he's doing alright.

I think Gollini could be considered exotic? B)  Just joking mate and agree that RDM and his team appear to be doing very well.  I do wonder if the line up last Wednesday was done as a bit of a test and RDM gave them some rope to hang themselves?  What it did do is prove to him that some still in the squad are simply not good enough, even for the Championship.  An important couple of weeks ahead now, which includes further signings and results - confidence building is key and yesterday was a good platform!

  4. Can't really add any more to what has already been said.  A true leader of men and will be vital us as the season gets interesting later on.  Please stay fit is my only request of him.

So assured, measured. Breezed through the game like McGrath.

This.  Good players make the game look easy.  He was calm throughout and none of the panic seen previously.  If he and Elphick stay fit throughout the season, they could alone guarantee a top six finish.

For me he's part of the poison. At this point there is not a player from last year I'd be desperately sad to see go

Cannot agree more.  The more rot that is removed the better for me.  You don't have to be just labelled a troublemaker or shite, but that losing mentality is rife throughout the squad.  Losing last might actually be a blessing in disguise as at least RDM and his team now know what we all have known for a couple of years.  He probably naively thought that he could change the mindset of some of these guys with his positivity, but hopefully he now knows that it is a lost cause too.  Blank canvas of me and start again, Jedinak, Chester, Morrison and one or two others would be good.

  7. Very good post from TRO above and is exactly how i feel.  What gives me hope is the signing of Tommy Elphick and that RDM finds a few more like him.  The only way things will change is almost starting from a blank canvas and moving most of these losers on.  I know it's not easy but we must do this in order for things to really make a difference.  I am prepared to give RDM and his team some time.

  8. Quite simply appalling and must go.  Would anyone take him though?  Bomb squad returns me thinks by the end of this transfer window, which may also include Lescott, Bacuna, Gestede, Gardner, Hutton and Bunn.
