    Leatherman Wave.

I keep this with me and its come in handy so many times.  Its worth every penny to have something that will sort most small DIY and repairs.  Worth every penny.

Good suggestion. As a cheaper alternative for some, I’ve always liked my Victorinox Swiss Army knife.  Had a couple for about 20 years and still serving me well.

I agree we were not great but we did more than enough to win the game comfortably. Some of the attacking play was sublime and just needed that little bit of luck. If this is a bad performance bring it on

It was never a bad performance, we just weren’t great as I say.  We seemed too desperate in our approach, especially in the second half.  Far too reliant on Grealish again, which highlighted the need for Barkley to be on the pitch.

As an aside, I did think the pitch cut up quickly and didn’t look in the best of condition, especially when you think it’s had so little use. Perhaps I’m being harsh here though.

I could explain my choices but I’ve pretty much wiped them from memory.

    ————————Kalinic————————

            Herd———Lescott———Crespo

    Tonev——Drinkwater—Sylla——Dawkins

    ————————Tshibola————————

    ———Helenius————Bowery———

Anyone remember Berson?  A nothing player from France who probably played a handful of games.

  4. Pen or no pen, bottom line is we weren't great yesterday.  Some players were clearly jaded from internationals and we left ourselves open to the counter attack.

Ross going off so early was a big blow and it shows what he means to this side.  I said earlier in this thread that the final 30 minutes reminded me so much of last season. Give it Grealish and hope he can create something.  We should have more about us than that.

Just hope the 8/9 days rest does us the world of good and gets Ross fit in time for West Ham.

  5. Today and especially the final 30 minutes, reminded me so much of last season.  Give it to Grealish and pray he can do something.  Disappointing to see.

Barkley going off was a shame, as our midfield needed him today.  Luiz and McGinn in particular looked jaded.  It’s early days with Bert and he probably is not match fit in the slightest but I’m a little worried about how he can influence games for us?  I don’t see a real turn of pace or that trick that’ll win us games. The improvement in Trez this season gives me hope though that Bert can do the same once he gets a regular run of games in him.

The problem with today is our bench and overall squad is woefully weak.  If our first eleven aren't at it, we have very little else and it will cost us games.

Konsa MOTM for me today.  Just hope the 8/9 days rest and work done in training will mean we’ll see a better performance at West Ham.

PS - anyone else think the pitch seemed to cut up quickly today and didn’t look in the best of condition?  Nothing that would have affected the performance or result but just an observation.

    I wouldn't, and I doubt I'm alone.

If we can't beat Brighton at home things aren't as good as they seem.

Absolutely, we should be looking to win the game.  Especially if Brighton have the injuries that some people have suggested.

Trossard is the real danger man and will be the biggest loss for them if he’s not fit but I expect he will be.

see this is kind of what worries me. billionaires dont become billionaires running charities or passion projects. If they weigh up the potential sale of jack based on a purely pragmatic, business decision then it probably makes sense to get rid.

I say the sooner we get Jack hooked up with Mallory the more confident i'll feel of him staying

We put our tree and some of the decs up this week.  We've gone a month earlier than usual.

I hear you about it getting stale, but it doesn't for me.  I'm not Christmas-mad, far from it, but I love the twinkly lights.  I hate early January when everything goes back to being gloomy, pissing down and dark for 18 hours a day.

Normally I'd be frowning at people with the tree up already, but this year anything goes.  It's been properly shit, and if something as small as this can help people feel a bit better then they should go for it.

Same here.  We did ours yesterday and probably 2/3 weeks earlier than usual.

Having an 8 year old and 6 year old waiting for Santa already just adds to the magic, so why not.  We had a really good family day yesterday and watched Home Alone later, whilst having a takeaway.  Priceless.

    Nice watch that fella.

So... turns out I was a little naive thinking I could bowl into a jewellers and pick up a submariner! 🤦‍♂️

All these years I’ve wanted one I could have been on the waiting list. Oh well, I will find one.

Morning Trent, I won’t confess to know much about the luxury watch area, as tend to stick with mainstream Gucci, Armani, Rado etc.  It’s not that I don’t like luxury, but more about the affordability and availability for me.  Just can’t justify the initial outlay and then subsequent service costs. Hundreds of pounds for a clean up afterwards is just something I can’t do.

However, my father knows his stuff and owns an Omega, Rolex and a couple of TAG’s.  Spoke to him last night and you are looking at the used/second hand market if you want one immediately.  Watches of Switzerland on New Street will provide good advice.  A top pawn broker may have one somewhere but all papers/COA should be present if you go down this road.  I believe Rolex keep a tight ship with this kind of stuff as well.

Best of luck in your search and hope you get one soon. 👍

I forgot Maguire was suspended for the next match. Well reminded! So with Coady and Gomez out, and Maguire suspended surely he starts the next match at least. Likely we will see Keane - Dier - Mings as the back 3.

Yep good shout, I was thinking we may have to play a back four but Dier can play in that position, so we’ll probably go with what you suggest.
