On a serious note, all else failing.
Someone who could cover LB/LWB/LW/AM competently would be brilliant.

Surprisingly optimistic about the game. As some others have said, Barkley comes straight in for me.

0-6 defeat to Everton today. Big gulf in class.

Finding it tough again today against Everton this time. 0-3 down after 30 minutes.
Going to be a difficult season for them.

Exactly what some have already suggested, it allows him to take a contract with someone else, who obviously don’t want to pay a fee. Compromise in wages. With FFP, it all helps or allows us to do one more deal?

Struggling a bit. Tired, fed up with people and life at present.

I saw the news at work and haven’t really been able to take it in until now.
What a fantastic piece of business by the club, a real sit up and take notice signing to the rest of the league. I’m sure he’ll have his bad games like all players do, but he’s a major major upgrade on Hourihane and I don’t think i’ve been this excited since the MON or Big Ron days. We can now make a real impression on the league this season and push for a top ten place.
I have some relatives who are big Evertonians and years ago they were hailing Barkley as the new Rooney, Gazza type. He really had that much hype. He can produce moments of real magic. I haven’t spoken to them but it’ll be interesting to hear what they think.
Looking forward to seeing him play already.

Martinez
Cash Konsa Mings Targett
Douglas
McGinn Hourihane
Traore Watkins Grealish
Tuff game this, but more than winnable. Tom Cairney is a good player in the middle and Mitrovic is a handful, but apart from those two I’m not keen on the rest of their team.
Would like to see Traore start in place of Trez and Ramsey on the bench as I think he’s good enough. Hard game, but a 0-1 or 1-2 win.
