  1. The Premier League is about the depth and quality of your squad. If you're the best in that area, and have some luck along the way, you'll win it. But in Manure's case this season, they have been extremely lucky not just with injuries, but with on-the-pitch decisions. Scholes has been getting away with tons of yellow-card tackles, and Ronaldo has gotten away with I think about two dives this season, which allowed Manure to score the first goal. Do you really want to win something through these means? Do you honestly believe that Chelsea have been the best these past few seasons? NO. They have been effecient. NOT the best. But winning the Champions League is not about depth or luck. It's about tactics and quality. It's a much greater achievement I feel, winning the Champions League instead of the Premier League. It shows off the tactical acumen of your manager, and the quality of your first team. Just because you win the Premier League, doesn't make you the better team. Arsenal are much better than Manure, but they are languishing in third. Ultimately, I want Villa to win something because they got the better of the teams that they played, with superior tactics, and good players. Because the Champions League matches are played throughout the course of the season, MON would most of the time, have his first-choice squad at his disposal, and if our team manages to win it, it will be because our first team played better/smarter or in some extreme rare cases(were luckier) than the other teams. That's how I want to win a trophy. Not by scraping past matches, having lucky fluky ref decisions, or by having a thick squad of quality reserves. But by outsmarting and playing better than the teams that you encounter in the tournament.
  2. Like I said. Catholics regard homosexuality as a Sin. I disapprove of it, just like all the other kinds of Sin in the world. Surely you should understand this? I said true Catholics don't condemn. I didn't say that they should not care about trying to help other people get rid of their Sin. What do I have to say in order for you to not think that I am condemning Homosexuals without comprimising my beliefs? Just because I think homosexuality is a Sin and should be gotten rid of, I am condemning Homosexuals. I also think that lying is a sin, and should be gotten rid of, so does that mean I am condemning liars? You seem to think that as long as I maintain the fact that Homosexuality is a Sin, I'm condemning them. It doesn't matter what kind of sin you have, I would still treat you the same way, whether you're Homosexual, a liar, a rapist, a pedophile, I'll still believe you have a Sin that needs to be gotten rid off. You might as well say I condemn the whole world. After all, we all have sin and I believe we all need to get rid of it, so I guess, according to you, I'm condemning the whole world. I'm sorry if I have upset you or made you feel angry. I'm not trying to put myself up onto a pedestal and look down on Homosexuals. I never have and up to now still don't intend to. I don't know what kind of semantics you're playing at regarding the defination of condemnation, but I do mantain my claim that Homosexuality is a Sin, and has to be gotten rid of. If Homosexuals don't regard it as Sin, and refuse to believe the Gospel, then I really cannot do anything to change their minds. It's their own decision, and their own lifestyle choice in the end. I don't want to get into an argument with you, Pablo or you ml1dch. So I'm going to rest my case now. I hope you do too. There's no point arguing about religon on the internet. No one wins, maybe except the Devil, as he's gotten so many people pissed off already. Who knows, I may have fallen into his trap and pissed everybody off by posting here in the first place. So, on a final note, I apologize to all those I've pissed off, and hope you bear no grudges against me. God bless.
  3. I don't condemn homosexuals. I don't go up to them and say, Oh, you're a fag and you're going to hell(which is what some extremists do, i.e Shirley Phelps). I regard homosexuality as a sin, and all sin no matter what they may be, has to gotten rid off. If I were to try to convert a homosexual, I wouldn't tell him/her straight away that homosexuality is a sin. These type of sensitive issues have to be talked about only after they accept Christ. If I immediately say straight out that he/she is a sinner because of homosexuality, I would only distance them from Church and religon. When dealing with sinners, we have to be patient and only talk about their sin if they want us to. This may be out of place on a forum, but I do hope you turn back to religon, Pablo, and "help" your brothers. If you don't want to, it's okay, but I just want you to know that there are many Churches and many Catholics who do not discriminate against homosexuals, so don't bae your feelings and thoughts about religon on those Churches who do discriminate against homosexuals. No hard feelings, I hope?
  4. A lot of Catholics are hypocrites nowadays. The Church, frankly speaking is a joke. That I'll admit. But the true Catholics DON'T condemn Homosexuals. They believe that it is a sin, just like cheating on your spouse, taking drugs, smoking, tattooing. The Bible says there is no sin that is greater than the other. All Sin are equal, and it doesn't mean that just because you're a Homosexual means you're more sinful than I am. I am by no means, a perfect person. I have my fair share of sins ands problems. But I believe that Homosexuals can try to get rid of their sin, and require help from the Church, like everone else who struggles with "normal" sins such as lying, adultery etc. The Bible teaches tolerance of people with all kinds of Sin, and to treat them with respect. The problem nowadays is Catholics approcah you with a holier-than-thou attitude which is totally against the teachings of the Bible. These people, the Bible says are hypocrites, people who go to Church and act religious, but have no relationship with God whatsoever, and do their own things, sinning wihtout a care for God and his teachings, all the while trying to stuff their "religon" down the throats of other people. These people who condemn Homosexuals are not true Catholics and you shouldn't really care about what they say. I, have all the while been trying to put across the point that Homosexuals, although some do not know it, have chosen their own path in life, and with a great amount of determination and resolve, and with help from God, can get rid of their sin. I'm sorry that your brother suffered from abuse from Catholics, but do remember that those people were hypocrites, and that they are not true Catholics. So, do not base your feelings and thoughts about Catholicism on these people. These are the type of people that give religon a bad name, just like the Al-Qaeda.
  5. In the bible, Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed by God because it was a unholy city, and the people there were Homosexual. He condemned the city and let Lot, the only "innocent" man leave the place before he destroyed it. And yes, Pablo, I'm a Catholic.
  6. I'm not sure why you can't accept my opinion. I believe that Homosexuality is a sin, and is wrong. That's something that I honestly and truly believe. You may disagree, but that's your opinion, not mine. You, with 4000 over post should know by now that on a forum, there are many people who do not share the same school of thought as you. Accept it and move on. *Edit* I believe that a Homosexual can choose not to be a Homosexual. And I believe that Homosexuality is a sin, and should be dealt with the same way people deal with addictions amd other forms of sin. I'm not attacking Gays. I don't hate them. I just feel that they should not blame their genes for their choice of lifestyle.
  7. You may think I'm harsh, but I don't like people not taking responsibility for their own choices. It's like a serial killer saying:"It's not my fault I shot the guy. My ancestors were violent people, and thus I was born with a "violent gene". It's not my fault, it's my ancenstors fault for giving me that gene!" In the same way, a gay would say:"It's not my fault I'm gay. I was born with a "gay" gene. If you want to blame anyone, blame my parents for giving me a "gay" gene. I'm completely innocent and did not choose this lifestyle at all. It's my genes that made me live this lifestyle, not my choices." I'm not Homophobic. I don't discriminate against Homosexuals and label them as evil horrible people. I think that Homosexuals are normal people who have made a terrible mistake. Yes, I do think that Homosexuality is a sin, but it's just like all the other sins and evils in the world, which normal people commit everyday. But, what I can't stand, is their shirking of responsibility. If other people can admit that they made their own decisions, why can't Gays?
  8. I think people who are homosexual are just trying to justify their situation by saying oh, I'm born a fag, and I can't do anything about it. It's okay to be a homosexual because it's in my genes. Bullshit. Homosexuality is wrong. And fags all around the world know it, although they refuse to admit it, and resort to some stupid, I'm born with it argument. In the end, it's your choice and your choice alone whether you want to be homosexual or not. A serial killer may have a family history of violence, but in the end it's his own choice whether or not he shoots the guy. No one is forcing him to shoot the guy. He made that decision himself. Drug addicts can choose to continue indulging in themselves, or choose to seek help. No one is forcing them to continue doing drugs. Homosexuals can choose NOT to be homosexuals. Whenever they think about people of the same gender in a sexual way, they can push that image out of their mind through prayer and/or meditation. It's the same thing with sex/porn addicts. They can choose not to go onto a porno website. They can choose not to go to a brothel. In the same way, Homosexuals can choose whether or not they want to have a sexual, intimate relationship with a person of the same gender. Life is about choices. And through these choices, you ultimately decide what you want to be. Don't blame fate, destiny and genetics on your choices. There's no such thing as I was forced to do it. I didn't have a choice. There's always an alternative, a different way to apporach things. So don't try jutifying homosexuality by saying I was destined to be a gay because I was born with "gay" genes. It's your choice whether you want to be gay or not. It's difficult, that's for sure, but if Drug/Porn/Sex addicts can curb their perverse desires, I don't see why gays are any different.
  9. Ljunberg? I'm not sure Mellberg will be too keen on the idea...........
  10. It was reported 2 years ago that Man City had a debt of about 60 million pounds. After the sale of SWP, it should have been cut down to about 40 million, but they're probably still in debt. They couldn't possibly recover 40 million in 2 years. So, if they are offered good money for Barton, they'll probably offload him.
  11. I doubt they did. No one would be daft enough to read through 127 pages of pure unsupported speculation. But then again, this is the Mirror we're talking about...........
  12. Actually, Bent would be a realistic option. Les Reed has said that he's considering offloading Bent so as to get in new players.
