  1. States in todays Sun Online that David Gold is threatening Legal Action against Chinese Owners for saying he is too old to own a football club :lol:

    Warewolf is Too Old.

DAVID GOLD is set to take legal action against former outfit Birmingham over suggestions the West Ham co-owner is too old to be running a football club.

Gold, 73, is upset by Brum's vice-chairman Peter Pannu, who said: "When people reach a certain age and have made their money, they should retire. Their faculties become affected."

Pannu also criticised Gold and David Sullivan's takeover of the Hammers.

He added: "They have caused an earthquake."

  2. They are moaning about BRMB have got about Villa at Wembley on one of their forums

    http://www.brmb.co.uk

If they ever got there (as if) BRMB would be covering them, they are so bitter it's untrue!

    Some quotes, idiots

Usually tune in to BRMB while on the way to work or on the way home from work or even as part of my daily routine being a community psychiatric nurse whilst making calls in the community, but over the last couple of days I have got sick to the death of hearing the programme turn in to the "vile wembley appearance appreciation at the expence of the cheap dig at the club I support and love show". Yeah I agree to a certain degree the local radio station should support local teams in such situations but how would these vile supporting radio presenters and it's listeners respond if Tom Ross showed similar byas of opinion towards the team he and us support. I for one will stop listening to the show if it continues with this philosophy and will stick to my cd changer as anyone else noticed this irritation or is it just me being a Victor Maldew.

saying that, has anyone noticed an increase in how much of aston vile you see about? I went into the JJB sports shop down merry hill (Dudley for those who don't know) and there is a whole section dedicated to Aston vile tops...

    QUOTE (Francis No.8 @ Feb 20 2010, 02:00 PM)

Just leave'em to it - its a long way back from Wembley when you've lost.

Hate to say it but I'm not so sure they will lose.

Dudley is vile central, no surprise really

and TBF, BRMB is a BLATENLTY Blues-biased radio station, BCFC is ALWAYS their no. 1 priority. they don't even pretend it's not.

if we were in a cup final, i'd be pretty sure that BRMB would be obsessing over it aswell

  3. I've had enough like majority of fans general

Had season ticket since Randy come to club (3 years now) as moved back to Birmingham previously just around then was season ticket holder all the 90's and watched excited attacking football coupled with quality strikers like Yorke, Saunders and Atkinson.

Grew up as teen in 90s and was so proud when my team against the odds beat Man Utd in Coke Cup (1993) and watching us win the cup to the tune of U R The Best Thing by D:Ream on the tv after, for a 13 yr old was on of the best days of my young life at the time, i was over the moon!!

I can't believe i have paid £800 out for mine and my mates season ticket, Sat was a disgrace

I think we are in for a season like the geordies last season

We need O'Neill to go gen, he's just not up to scratch like Atkinson, Taylor (Part 1) etc

  4. General i think i asked the question in part 1 about a year ago but after seeing a 17 yr old wonder kid score against us on Sunday i was wondering what Villa was doing to secure these brilliant youngsters

    I made a thread:-

    please use short links

Can you let us know how we look for youngsters for our youth set up at moment, how far deep we look, just seems we pay over the odds for average youngsters when there are class apart on Brazil, Italy etc

Could Villa/Randy lok into or address into finding these wonderkids for the future (Better scouting network), these type of kids the Villa fans love instantly!!! :D

  5. Hi General:-

I sit in the Lower Holte as a season ticket holder, last season myself and my mates was able to sit and have a beer at half time in the Holte Suite and in turn made it a brilliant atmosphere.

This season they have done away with letting the supporters go in there and the atmosphere hasnt been half as good. and all gets bunched up at half time against the doors to the place

Any reason why they have closed the Holte Suite at Half Time? It would be brilliant to reopen it.

  6. General, who was that slim, good looking 30 year old guy pretending to be Randy Lerner yesterday? Can you get Randy to post his diet sheet because I sure could do with it.

I noticed on Match of The Day that Randy has lost a lot of weight over the summer! Has he been hitting the gym or even using the new bodymoor heath training complex general? 8)

  7. Hi General as you might not have been aware of one of the oldest clubs Scarborough have announced that they are out fo business with huge debts.

    Please use short links

Like the nurses is there no way that Aston Villa could try and help them and show the big clubs actually care about the smaller clubs?

Even try and give them a friendly (Reserve team maybe?) at Villa Park and donate the cash to help the club start again?

Just a thought as I would be so upset if something like this happens to us (Thankfully don't think it ever will) But feeling for any Scarbrough fans at moment

  8. Hi General,

Would you be kind enough to look at this topic i posted elsewhere?

Please use short links, it's really not difficult

Could we have the reserves and youth team stats on the O/S so that we can see who the core of future Villa players will be and their stats?

As don't think the O/S has ever provided this info before and it's something thats never in the Matchday Programme

Something similar to what the Barcodes have done would be great for reading and finding out info/contract and appearances

    and here

    and here

  9. General Krulak here:

    1. Not sure I understand what a feeder is within the context of a sports team. Could you explain the term? Are you talking about the "minor leagues" as in American baseball? That is the closest thing to the "feeder" definition.

    .

Feeder club sir is like a smaller club ie Walsall, Bournemouth etc who would take our younger reserve players on loan for the season to get first team experience and in turn we possibly pay them a small fee (not always) also we have first refusal on any really good young players at the feeder club so that when the time is right we can buy them from the feeder club at a decent price.

Manchester United have a few feeder clubs in Holland and Belgium where they send their talented youngsters to for a few years also PSV are meant to be Chelsea's feeder club (Altho not sure how accurate that is)

It would be brilliant if Villa could have a team in lower leagues of UK also Spanish Second Division team, or a Belgium or Dutch club as a feeder club in order for us to get quality youngsters and send our youngsters on loan

Could Randy consider this as we will strenghen tie's with other clubs at present i don't think we have 1 feeder club compaired to big 4 who have a couple.

  10. How about Hamuer Bouazza (spelling??) from watford? I think hes looked the part everytime I´ve seen him this year. Great goal yesterday too.

    Thoughts?

I mentioned Bouazza on this thread when we signed Young! We should have tried to get both of them at time for combined fee! Heard Spurs are sniffing around now! He is quality and could get for 2-3mil!

    Yes mate i agree
