  1. Haha a complete fix as expected with the scorecards.
  2. Paulie summed it up well. He throws those windmill hooks when he's trying to get into position. Once the feet are set, the straight right comes into play and if he connects it's lights out for Fury.
  3. Wilder coming in at 15st 1lb. Getting lighter and lighter each and every fight. Fury at 18st 3lb. Remarkable size and weight advantage.
  4. It will do very poor numbers PPV wise due to the timing and general promotion of the event. I don't think the fight will be all that great either. The fight needs a Wilder knock out. Fury jabbing his way to victory for 12 rounds won't make great viewing.
  5. It is not all that surprising - Wilder is virtually unknown in America (just check Fury's latest video going around the streets asking if people knew who Deontay was. Most responded 'who?!') Additionally Frank Warren is a dinosaur when it comes to promoting events.
  6. No but he may do something stupid like try to sway this way and that against the ropes with his hands down and be sparked out.
  7. Check out @Tedescology’s Tweet: https://twitter.com/Tedescology/status/1061410813750272000?s=09
  8. Awesome way to announce yourself on British soil. His heavyweight journey will be very interesting.
  9. I mean the two Haye fights were for peanuts right. Bellew defo needs the money here ?
  10. There's an added pressure/angle for Usyk. This is his first fight in the UK and in this sort of atmosphere. He has aspirations of moving up to heavyweight. He will want to put a demolition show on you feel.
  11. Because it is being promoted by Frank Warren lol
  12. You would think so but I wouldn't put money on it being one sided. Bellew has shown to be a dangerous underdog in his career. This is his last ever fight, he won't be going out with a whimper. He literally has nothing to lose.
  13. I think Usyk-Bellew is going to be closer than people think. If Usyk allows it to turn into a brawl then this could be quite a fight.
  14. Side note - the fight is the same night as Warrington/Frampton. Think old Frank is going to get burnt on this one.
  15. I actually think Dillian Whyte is brilliant for British boxing. Might not be the most talented of boxers but he is one guy who will jump in the ring with anyone and not worry about biding his time in order to grab a big fight. You could argue he already has a better résumé than the likes of Wilder & Fury. Think the fight will be another good scrap. Festive season + entertaining heavyweight action - yes please.
  16. These Fury's make for God awful spectacles and they are just not very good in all honesty. Hughie completely outclassed by an old Pulev.
  17. DAZN is going to be the Netflix of boxing & there is a high probability it signals the end of PPV in the US.
  18. This is a staggering, sport changing deal. Every man and their dog will now want to be on the Dazn platform. A certain Frank Warren will be extremely fidgety right now.
  19. I do hope so as a Tyson Fury who is hungry to win and not just hungry for a pay check is an asset to the division. But how I view it is both these guys have not been paid well at all throughout their career. Wilder simply has no profile or a promotional team who know how to build him and similarly Fury has missed out on numerous pay days in his career. I feel like these two have agreed a double fight deal so the chances of either of them wanting to dismantle the other is low in my opinion.
  20. I really don't think there is any trying to get under one another's skin in this one. This is pure rehearsed nonsense. They are best of buddies backstage. This fight will be as dire as the build up in my opinion and/or highly choreographed to ensure a rematch.
  21. The Wilder-Fury Circus is in full flow I see. Wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the WWE thread. Cringe level 101.
  22. Was Groves even fully fit? Didn't look right. Cracking body shot though.
  23. Of course there are always stumbling blocks both ways. But we have to go by the pure facts, Joshua has reeled off top ranked guys much earlier in his career. Wilder, with 40 odd fights under his belt, is still yet to really have any one of note on his résumé. Ortiz was half decent but then he is around 50 years old. Wilder does not want this fight IMO.
  24. Whyte-Chisora II will likely happen December. Hats off to Dillian, a rare boxer who walks the talk and just wants to fight anyone and everyone. I agree Joshua-Whyte II has all the makings of an upset.
  25. Rumour has it there is a two way rematch clause in place for that fight which to me suggests Wilder is very confident that Fury is basically a bum these days. Two easy pay days for him. And gives him a convenient reason not to fight AJ in April too.
