I still cant believe its him! Is this really happening to our club? I'd like to echo what others have said, welcome to VT, and thank you very much for waking this sleeping giant. The fans are truely behin the club now and it feels great! The food and drink thing needs to be sorted out, also hire some staff to work there that understand what a balti pie is! If you havent had one of these then i recommend you do the next time you find yourself in the holte! The Chelsea free travel idea is brilliant and im sure you'll agree by the response it has had. This sort of thing was unheard of before and really shows our club is moving in the right direction. Finally can we have a statue put outside the holte end, of something or someone that means something to the club. We can have the poll on here! Thank you once again.

To be fair he hasnt really played. He showed what he can do when he got a consistent run in the side at the end of last season. He's a great finisher! I think we're struggling to create chances at the moment so its not like we can blame our strikers for not finishing.

Maloney was the first player to win the SPL player of the year and the SPL young player of the year award. He's struggled a bit lately but is a great prospect who MON will know all about.

Robbie Keane anyone? Would take him without a millisecond of hesitation. And he was on the bench yesterday, so who knows? Keane needs regular football, he showed what he can do in the 2nd half of last season when playing regularly. Why Jol picks Defoe ahead of him beats me! Always admired Keane and looks like he wouldnt take too much convincing. But Spurs wouldnt want to sell.

Apparently Padfield and Co. are going to bid on Wednesday? Thats what atleast a few of the people on that forum are claiming. Wishful thinking imo I would genuinely be absolutely staggered if they, or anyone else bid. it just isnt going to happen, and the reason it isnt going to happen is that it is extremely rare for someone to make a losing bid in these situations. You bid only when you know you are going to win. I agree, i expect Padfield and Co have notcied the response that Randy has got from the fans, they will realise that it would be very hard, and their bid would have to be very very good to change people's minds. I think Randy was clever in the timing of when he made his bid, its no coincidence that it meets up with the Reading game. Even though i would of prefered it to be earlier, better late than never!

Big, big IF IMO As far as I'm concerned, if they are as serious as the others, then all the merrier, I'm not waving any flags here I believe that they are serious - very serious. So serious they are talking about joining together with another consortium? So serious they have not even spoken with the board? You may think they are serious but I think the people that matter don't. I cant see them being that serious, the fact that they are playing catch up shows this. If they were serious they would of been aware of the situation and had things sorted or close to being sorted weeks ago. Padfield is on holiday, is that how serious he is? Lerner seems the best option for us, therefore you dont choose second best or even third.

It makes no sense for Doug to bring a man in, or for any manager to negotiate with Doug. But then when did Villa ever make sense!! We've learnt to expect anything at Villa. Did they say a time when it would be? Dont think i could handle another day in front of SSN.

I doubt it will be to reveal a new manager, it will be either 'the bids are all in and we are going to have a few days of consideration' or 'the new owners are....' hope it's the latter. I doubt it will be a new manager revealing, but I could be wrong!! I'd say it was more likely to be the new manager then new owners. Either that or they will say, we dont have new owners yet, the search is on going.

The story from the B'ham mail has now been reported in various other media outlets, so if this doesnt happen then the mail will have a lot to answer for!
