  1. Sam Morshead ‏@SamMorshead_ 55m55 minutes ago I'm of the impression this deal for Gladwin and Luongo to QPR may well be complete by the end of today. #stfc Sam is reliable. I'm surprised, I thought it was nailed on. Maybe QPR gazumped it. (Don't know what's wrong with that text.)
  2. There's andre green a 16 year old winger, he's quick and direct and was on the bench for the first team yesterday, he might be a bit young to be loaned out though There's easah suliman, a 17 year old centre back or left back, but again he's probably a bit young to be loaned out Also, lewis kinsella, a 20 year old left back, he started off at arsenal but got released and ended up here, he'd do a good job for swindon Cheers. Bear in mind though that when I talk about 'youngsters', I don't just mean youths. I mean more along the lines of young fringe players that are not quite breaking through to the 1st team just yet. Our recent successes in that category have been Luongo, Byrne (a star a L1), Grant hall (playing in the Championship), Alex Pritchard and Ryan Mason (We had him on loan last season. Mr Sherwood will be more than happy to send your best.
  3. He's great in the hole behind the front two. Has also played Left wing back... is versatile. I can't see him being a replacement for any of your squad yet, I can honestly see him being loaned back to us for next season. He was a removals man playing for non-league Marlow 18 months ago, bags of talent but still very raw.
  4. Local press are suggesting that Luongo and Gladwin is a done deal. They are usually right. There's bound to be some of your youngsters coming our way in exchange. I'd love to hear about who they may be and what they can do....
  5. What do you think of him? Very highly rated here. Great technical ability, surprisingly skilled for a big man. Plays great behind the front two but is quite versatile and has played at left-wing back a few times. Likes running at players. A bit frustrating at times as he can have a habit of slowing the play down, he's still very raw though. You'll be investing in the future with Gladwin but the lad is oozing potential. Many town fans would rather keep Gladwin over Luongo. Oh, and he knows where the goal is as well.
  6. I wouldn't be surprised if you loaned Gladwin back to us for next season (assuming you buy him). He was a removals man playing for non-league Marlow 18 months ago and is still developing with us having come on very strong in the last few weeks or so.
  7. I'm lead to believe that the deal will be closer to 2mil, with some of your youngsters coming our way. It could be 'valued' at 4mil depending on which of your players join us.
  8. Just to let you know, if you want a look at Luongo he'll be playing in our play-off matches which are on TV tonight and Monday. Wish us luck
  9. Can you provide us a link to your forum or wherever your ITK is (regarding Luongo) please mate? I think he can step up to be honest, happy if we are in for him! Sorry mate, I can't help on the ITK stuff. It's hardly a scoop anyway as we Town fans were all expecting it as soon as Sherwood ended up with you lot. You can ask more here though: www.thetownend.com, which is our main forum.
  10. Apparently it's pretty much a done deal that Luongo will be headed your way. There'll also be some of your youngsters headed our way, but that much was pretty much nailed on once Sherwood joined you anyway.
  11. He can play all over central midfield, he's also played a holding midfield role for us a few times and was excellent. He's not a big lad, but he's not shy of a strong tackle. Depending on who's fit, he tends to play more of a box to box role.
  12. As a Swindon fan, I think it's highly likely he'll end up with you next season. Can you give us a bit of a rundown on the guy please? Lively attacking midfielder with a good eye for a pass. He absolutely bosses the midfield quite often at this level. He was awarded the best player of the Asian cup recently, he's somewhat the 'darling' of Australia at the moment. Apparently before leaving Spurs, where he was with Sherwood, Sherwood wanted him to stay on but Luongo chose to join us because Spurs had so much strength and depth in midfield at the time and he wanted games. We rejected a 2.5M bid for him in January so he'll likely go for 3-4M, Although Tim Sherwood and Lee Power (our owner)are close friends so there's on knowing what deal might be struck.
  13. As a Swindon fan, I think it's highly likely he'll end up with you next season.
  14. Yeah, 17 probably is a bit young. Hopefully you do have some good, young talent as I'm sure Sherwood would be happy to send them our way especially if we are in the Championship next season. Our recent track record of developing young players has been excellent.
  15. Hi there folks. Sorry for hijacking this thread only I can't start a new one, not even in the welcome forum bit. At least this thread has some relevance though. Anyway, why I'm here.... I'm a Swindon fan and as you may know, Tim Sherwood is close friends with Lee Power, the owner of STFC. When Sherwood was at Spurs he sent us some of their youngsters which turned out very well for both parties, Ryan Mason in particular (we had him on loan last season). With Sherwood now your manager it is quite likely that we will see some of your young talent headed our way next season. So, I was just wondering who you think you might be sending our way and what you could tell me about them. Oh, and congratulations on reaching the cup final.
  16. Hello there. I apologise for hijacking this thread only I cannot start a new one myself (perhaps somebody could do that for me?) I am a Swindon fan and we have just appointed your former assistant Kevin MacDonald as manager. I know he was with you for quite a while so I was hoping for your thoughts. Thanks.
