  1. The stigs time in the dry was 1.44.4. Hamiltons in the wet with oil on the track was 1.44.7. By anyone's book that is staggeringly good driving, and to prove the point of how skilled these F1 drivers are they had Hammond go round a circuit in an F1 car.

Clarkson was simply stunned by Lewis's time, and even more so by how relaxed Lewis was going round the track. I really hope they get him back to go round in the dry, I really think he could push a sub-1.40 lap.

And everyone who does the star in the car gets 3 practice laps tops nowadays.

  2. I could do a similar time to those F1 drivers in that car, you don't have to be a genius or and F1 driver to drive that car quick. I recon nearly all of the celebs are just really shit.

You gotta be shitting me!?!?

  3. I think it's pretty evident from his lap that Lewis has the most incredible natural talent. Possibly the most naturally talented driver since Ayton Senna.

  4. General,

All I have to say after watching a second half performance that brought pride and belief of what is to come is-

    BRING ON POMPEY!!!!

PS- I hope that IF the story in a scummy redtop sunday rag is true, that the club and MON treat Ashley the right way, he's been fantastic this season adn I'd hate to see his confidence take a dip for being, well, a silly boy.

  5. if they want an englishman, and can't get enyone so soon, how about popping Sir Bobby into it for a transitional period. He knows the game like the back of his hand, and I tell you this, has more enthusiasm in his little finger than most.

As for Capello, I think he plays to his players strengths rather than 100% defensive style. His Milan team of Gullit, Rijkaard, Van Bastan, Baresi, Papin played some fantastic football. BUT he will be dogmatic and deliberate if people pressure him to play THEIR way, as was shown at Real.

If it was me he'd have been unveiled to the press already as the new manager.

  6. Mike, www.cnet.co.uk have good reviews and phone comparisons on there too, all impartial. I guess it's all about individual needs. If you're looking for more business use then the N95 offers wifi, though you do have to pay for the sat nav I've heard.

It's probably be the viewty for me. I've had sony ericssons for a while and want a change, and I've never really been a fan of Nokias. They feel too cheap and also the interface I've always found clumsy plus the battery lifes poor. But each to their own I suppose.

  7. That's weird of Jewell cos he was on SSN earlier saying a representative from the Sty had rang him and he said that due to the uncertainty at the boardroom level he had to decline their offer. He also said he turned to ROI job down due to wanting club management.

  8. I'm due an upgrade too in a few weeks. I like the look of the LG viewty, handles similar to the iphone in that it's touch screen but a 5mp camera plus it seems to work as a mobile. But for me the main plus is the abilty to play divx, which offers far better quality for the memory. and it looks gorgeous.

Saying that, I'm also stumped on that, the NG95 or the Sony Ericsson K850i. God damn which one to get!?!?!

  9. Umbro have announced that the England football team will replace the 3 lions from their shirts with three tampons.

This is to represent the worst **** period they ever had.

Whats the best thing about Steve McLaren?

    He's not the England manager.

Steve McClaren is going to the England Christmas party dressed as a pumpkin, he's hoping someone can turn him into a **** coach!

What's nine inches long and dangles in front of a word removed?

    Steve McLaren's tie

Whats the difference between Steve McLaren and everyone else?

Everyone else would of been able to qualify with england

  10. But does Capello really play negative football? That Milan team that won serie A with Gullit, Rijkard and Van Bastern played some awesome attacking football. He plays similar style football to Mourinho as far as I can see. And I agree with others, I rate him higher than Mourinho.

He wants it, Barwick should be in Italy now on bended knees to get such a man in charge. Instead they'll dither quake in their boots til someone else offers the right man the job. They could've had Hiddink or Scholari instead of the Chipmonk but dithered and look where it got them.

So Arkright, get off your fat scouse arse, get on the blower to Italy and give that man the job.

  11. Quite frankly, when a manager of the calibre of Fabio Capello makes it known he wants a job such as the England job AND is available, the FA should be doing cartwheels and jumping through hoops and ON THE NEXT **** PLANE TO ITALY to get him.

But they won't of course. Barwick will want one man, Richards another and so on til Capello gets another job which in turn leads to taking yet another team to a title.
