Awesome! Personally, I love Elemental Mastery (31 pt Elemental tree) since it gives you a guaranteed mana free crit every 3 mins.

The blue PVP gear is also very good. I still GW everywhere with the boots on rather than mount. It's only 5% slower than a normal mount and you are not as obvious as you are with "TV receiver" elements shoulders on while riding a kodo. Also very good for running the flag or slipping by enemies in AB.

Sadly, you wont get the rank in time to claim them since ranks are null and void after Tuesday's (Wednesday for you) patch 2.01 and all honour is reset.

Quickest ever AV - 8 mins Horde win. That was back before cross realms.

Elemental is an awesome spec for PVP (or grinding) - especially when you back it up with 20 in the enhancement tree.

I think I will go Resto come 2.01 for the weeks our guild is still raiding before BC comes out. Then it's respec to enhancement, methinks.

Aye, the first time we met that fella. Must have been the day we installed Teamspeak? I about shit myself when this **** thing came running out of nowhere. And of course, he is about 15 levels higher than the quest you are on so flagged ?? and elite to go with it (and the first elite that Undead players will see?) it really is a golden moment in WoW.

All the Orcs, Trolls and Cows will have missed that? I dont think you get to Silverpine by level 12 or so, do you? Still one of my fave areas on the game. And Stonetalon Mountains. Levelling an alt (he is 25 now!) and revisiting these areas is kinda cool.

Yeah - we miss the Son of Arugal....

... but when we get there at around lvl 15-20 he still pwns us!

Have you clocked Vael yet btw Oz? He really is the best boss on the game. An insane fight. If Ragnaros is a "have you got good fire resist score" fight, then this is a "lets see you DPS in you fire res then, fuckheads" fight. You can have 30 people alive when he is at 1% and he will still kill you. In about three seconds. Really one to see.

Nope and unlikely too. Guild trouble saw it split in 2 and a lot of good players left. That means a lot of ZG/AQ20 and MC all over again. Wont get to Vael by the time BC comes out.

I think its similar to the way it works now Riss, only you use your honour points as gold to buy stuff (along with real gold) so its not all about what rank you are anymore and you dont get screwed over by rank decay which was peoples biggest gripe with the current system.

In a nutshell

1) You dont lose rank anymore

2) You gather tokens from bg's which you use to "buy" gear

3) You can turn in some of your honour from pvp for tokens (I think)

And the end game pvp gear is imba. Check out Thottbot's beta and look at the epic gladiator stuff.

Im guessing that Giant would have had at least 5 sunders on him, maybe Fairie Fire and Curse of Recklessness for another -1000 armour and youd have been buffed to the eyeballs though. This was just a random white crit in PvP.

My best white crit was for 854 when meleeing a Molten Giant using Jekliks Hammer. Not bad for a non-windfury crit for an elemental shaman.

God I can't wait for TBC. I'm so bored I've even taking to grinding rep. This last two weeks I've got exalted in AV and CC, starting with AB now. Might have to do something completely mindless like the the Timbermaws next!

Something I do quite often when not raiding. Not for the timbermaw rep - the rewards are crap - but for a bit of gold, Juju Power and Winterfall potion.

I use the latter 2 on tanks and/or rogues in raids - which they love me for. You usually get a stack or 2 of runecloth and some major healing/mana potions as well - with the odd green item thrown in.

Only problem is Winterfall village is farmer heaven - usually at least 2 farmers there. When it gets bad (4+ farmers) it's time to level my alt.

Just like you guys - boredom is setting in. Instances done to death. Raid progression stalled. Guild issues. PVP exalted/revered. No longer concerned with Honour.

Like most of the wow end-game community it seems, I'm just hanging in for BC.....

Bah. But you'd be 8/8 tier 2 in a couple of weeks! And even Alterac valley is fun now!

Alterac Valley is never fun - it's more PVE than PVP which means alliance usually win - but the rewards for exalted are good and you make rep very quickly. The Lobotomizer and The Immovable Object are my favourites for my elem/enhance shammy.

Arathi Basin is the most fun, though and has a guaranteed result in 30 mins.

Despite having some 200+ members (including lower level alts) our guild failed to get raids going on a regular basis over the last 2 weeks. There just wasn't enough people logged on at the same time to even run ZG.

Why? Perhaps the fact that the queue has blown out to as big as 1300 at peak times has a lot to do with it.

So a bunch of people left the guild......

... to form their own. A whole 5 people worth. Makes sense, doesn't it? It gets better.......

Since people started leaving the GM got the shits (rightly so, IMO) and dumped all the alts. More people left so he then left the guild himself and sold off the bank. Most members joined the "new" guild - making it pretty much the same as the last.

So they (we) have the same members who couldn't get a regular raid together....

... only with no established bank. And fewer members. :shock:

Being a fan from "Down Under" (Australia) I was wondering if there were any plans on making Villa games accessible and broadcast live in areas outside of the UK? Or is that something that is owned by the TV stations?

The reason being that we only get to see limited games down here and I would like to see each and every game - including cup and (in the not too distant future) European games. If that service was possible and available, it would be one that I (along with many other overseas fans) would be more than happy to pay for. Kind of a long distance season ticket. :winkold:

With BC just around the corner and another 10 levels to grind - what's the point in epic gearing alts? Not only are you likely to get better stuff in BC, you are more likely to level your main character.

This is supposed to be a link to blue text about patch 1.13, and pre TBC Warlock changes. I keep getting errors, so i dont know if its real or not, but there is talk of some kind of threat reduction (at last!) and a form of Fel Concentration for the Destruction tree.

Are half the shammie toems really needed? Do they really do enough to influence solo play? Much happier with the Drood!

Half are rarely if ever used. Flametongue is my favourite - never used.

As for solo play - they do make a difference, albeit a small one. If I'm going one on one with an elite of the same or similar level I'll drop all 4 totems, usually agil, strength, searing and mana. For grinding I'll usually only drop mana and pull the mobs in and slow down on the shock spells. It saves stopping and drinking every 3 fights.

How are your lot going anyway Oz? Havent heard anything in a little while.

Having some guild upheaval at the moment. Our MT - the one who by default got ALL the tank drops in MC - hasn't been online in over a month. When questioned about it, the GM (who just happens to be his mate) quit and looks like taking a few with him.

The upside is I get to raid more often - went to AQ20 for the first time last night :shock:

As for progression: ZG all but Hakkar. AQ20 only Kuri, I think. MC - all bosses on farm except the last 2: Domo and Rags. Have downed Domo once before. Ony - not yet. Had him down to 5% in our best attempt before the inevitable fear into the whelps. :roll:

Who needs a Tremor Totem when you have Fear Ward?

Loladins can remove poison. They have a spell called Cleanse which removes 1 Disease, 1 Poison and 1 magical effect.

Neat.

The only difference is a totem is a cast once, not used up and lasts 2mins. It's not often you need to cure poison and disease at the same time so that's covered.

Would be nice if we could remove magic, though.

Grounding Totem? PvP thing. One nuke being absorbed in a group of 40 people ever 15 (?) seconds? Healing can cover it.

The point is that you dont need to heal it if it's absorbed. Totem buffs may be weak compared to a Pally, but they are not totally useless.

Why Blizz made all the good totems Air totems, why they didnt introduce something alongside the "greater blessing" system that Paladins have (ie, one that buffs 40 people, not 5) why they didnt give something alongside Blessing of Kings (best buff in the game, surely?) is beyond me.

In the last shaman review (1.10) they had a chance to address this. They didn't bother. Instead, they decided on Horde Pallys.

Great. Shaman's role in the game post BC? Non-existent.

We will get a new totem that pumps up caster's damage for all in the party. Guess what? It's an Air totem. :roll:

But our buffs aren't absolute shite. There are things totems can do that PussyBubble's buffs cant.

Example? Magmadar's fear, Gehennas' shadow bolts, Venoxis' poison.

Nobody cares about DPS? Ask a rogue, mage or hunter. :winkold:

Went farming for the eye of shadow in WS last night with a warrior alt. Had to heal, buff and DPS to get through. The extra DPS made all the difference.

As for buffs - there's a totem for every situation:

Need purging for poison? Or Disease? Or fear? Or Sleep? Done.

Need more agil? Done.

Need more DPS? Done - in 1 of 3 ways (windfury, Strength, Firetongue)

Need damage reduction? Done?

Need threat reduction? Done.

Need more mana? Or health? Done.

Need to absorb that spell? Done.

Need Fire, Frost or Nature resistance? Done.

And you can change any one at any time.

Absolute shite? Only if you group with a shaman that doesn't bother dropping them.
