Reported as £40m over two years - which I suspect is more than we currently get for all three of our kit properties - the manufacturer, the main sponsor and the sleeve - combined.

    It's a step up.

You reckon there will be Champions League qualification and progression clauses/bonuses which could see this rise?

  2. One thing we often don't speak about, because he's technically a " winger/attacker " with the trick, assists and goalscoring etc.

But some of his passing, lanes, range and accuracy is stupendous!

EDIT: Just realised multiple people above me have already said this 😂

  3. Only way I'd even consider, considering to sell him is if it's to one of the European Powerhouses ( Real Madrid, PSG, Juventus, Barcelona ) etc.

We'd be mental to sell him to any club in the Premier League, or perhaps selling him at all regardless of money.

Giving him to a team like Arsenal or any of the others around us would be shooting ourselves at point blank range.

This is just a mental opinion. He's having a fantastic season - but he's not better than Mbappe.

Haaland is also 5 years younger than him and clearly not recovered properly from his mid-season injury. He scored 36 in 35 games last season in his first PL season as a 22 year old.

The Kane slander (made by a few on here) is also really off. The only thing Ollie has over Kane is the ability to run in behind. Trying to paint the narrative that Kane is just a goal-scorer is bizarre, he's a fantastic passer of the ball. His first touch is a million times better than Watkins. He's scored a lot more (33 goals) and still assisted close (10) vs. Watkins this season, and is in the CL semi-finals. He's a phenomenal player.

    Sod your " facts ".

    There's only one Oliver!!!

I mean statistically that's not true. I can't profess to have watched enough to say whether it's exactly true or not.

His last season at Leverkusen Bailey averaged a goal or assist every 110 minutes in all comps, 15 goals and 11 assists in 40 appearances. This year he's averaging a goal or assist every 103, 14 goals and 13 assists in 43 games

For diaby last season it was 142, remarkably close to his record in the prem at 144, 14 goals and 13 assists in 48 appearances. He was better the previous season with 17 goals and 14 assists in 42 appearances making a 115mins per g+a ratio, the year before that was 123 minutes per contribution with 10 goals and 15 assists in 3076 minutes.

Baileys best season at Leverkusen he produced at a higher rate than diaby, and as we know is a better dribbler and more of a threat to start counters with his long passing. Diaby may have had a better all round game though.

They are still remarkably similar statistically of course. And I would mot be shocked if diaby makes a big improvement next season as he can really drill into emery's tactics and gets more used to the physicality of the prem.

I remember one thing stattos and journalists kept saying about Diaby, when we were linked to him and a few others, is that he may not necessarily be the most flashy, but he's the most consistent and effective + best all round etc.

Whereas the likes of Doku are " flashy " .

He was far superior to Bailey at Leverkusen.

He will make a proper nob out of the doubters.

Yeah, what I was alluding to, is if that's the case, there is a hell of a player in there waiting to come out!

  7. Bloke looks like he actually enjoys showing players he can power through them even when several are hanging on to his shirt at the same time 😂.

As mentioned in match thread, would love to see a fully fit and flowing JJ on the left, with Rogers as inside forward/10 as he is now!

Strength, size, skills, and power, the ceiling is high!

Masterstroke from Unai and scouting team on this kid.

This is meant to be the shit version of Diaby. Imagine the stats for the good version of Diaby Hopefully next season.

Weren't some people suggesting he was even better at Leverkusen than Leon was when he was in his pomp?

I still think for some games, I may rather see Duran, partially for protection of Moussa, against big, strong players he can sometimes struggle unless he's given space as he's a little guy.

    He's been incredible.

Should be POTY for the prem.

He's added so much to his game.

The complete forward at this point.

6 points and we didn't even have Douglas Luiz...

    🤣

Strangely, our two most recent PL performances without him have been a couple of our best.

Happy for him to get the rest.

This just shows how far the group has come as a unit.
