I dont think it matters where they come from as long as MON feels they can do the job for Villa. Kind've true, but it really limits out ambition if MON can only sign players he knows really well. Yeah thats one thing that we need to improve upon and thats the scouting

Craig Gordon is rated more than Boruc , and from what I hve seen of the two Gordon is the better keeper, he has a shite defence infront of him at Hearts but he still looks class. Out of the two we should definately go for Craig Gordon.

I think we should go for Juninho worth a shot i suppose no harm in trying he is an excellent creative midfielder and a set piece specialist. Just what Villa need, and yeah i would be sick as a dog if we werent in for Kallstrom too

:nod: Yes, take Ronaldo for example a year or two ago all the step overs and all the tricks but did bugger all with it. Now he has matured and toned down all the trickery and worked on his delivery now he is well on his way to being the best player in the world. We all know that he has the skill but if he works on his delivery then he will be one ace player, one that we should definately be a target for MON

Last season we narrowly escaped relegtion this year we have flirted with it. Lets put it like this if we dont replace more than half the team in the summer then next year we are in the s**t. How long can we go on just narrowly missing relegation, there will be a year when we will drop. Teams coming up from the Championship are getting better, gone be the days when the three that comes up go straight back down. And we shouldnt rely on the fact that we are Aston Villa we are to big to go down cause Nottingham Forrest and Leeds have shown that when big teams drop they aint coming back up in a hurry. This squad we have just isnt good enough to challenge in the prem and i agree with Steve Orchrd when he says only Barry and Carew are the only ones we should keep. We basically need a whole new team, a breath of fresh air throughout the squad, then we should be fine.

Luke Young, captain of Charlton i think, had a recent stint of games for England, he is 28 so is in his prime. A player that can do a job in the present, not a prospect or a has been.

I think the only reason he was played by O'Neill at the start if the season is because we had no-one else, he has never rated Luke imo and when he bought Young it was to replace Moore. Martin O'Neill is building his own team and the team he is going to build will propel us into european football for years to come. He has to clear out the dead wood and the players that arent good enough and Luke Moore falls into that category.

Why is everyone so upset of the thought of Luke Moore going when ever i have saw him play he has never looked interested, the only exception being his hat trick against Villaboro. Luke Moores statistics hmm not very good for a striker, if we are to move on to the next level, we need to be replacing players like him. But he is young and he may develop into a good striker, but imo we need proven premiership goalscorers to propel us into the top 6

It would be awesome if we won the league but if i had the choice i would want the European cup, Chelsea have won the league recently but still they havent got any credit for what they have done. Eveyone seems to give credit to the winners of the european cup and if you have the luck and your name is on the trophy then you could quite fesibly win it. Teams like Monaco, Porto, Liverpool, Byer Levurkusen have all shown tht it is possible for good teams to get to the final, so out of the two i think the european cup is more of a possibilty than the league.
