Apologies for posting this here but I'm sure quite a few of you may remember me showing pics of his first villa leg here when we were bored a few transfer windows back lol

I know what you mean, it seems like forever that we have gone into a season feeling like we have the complete squad required to compete. This is Dr Tony's first true test, can he achieve it or will we be left feeling like we are a player or two light come the first of September. I definitly had that feeling last summer when I thought we had left oursleves short up front, and I don't think we have strengthened that area significantly enough just yet.
That was summed up by the fact that we didnt even allocate the No.10 shirt last season. As yet No.9 is still empty but I have a lot more faith this year that we will fill it.

Anyone mentioned Dennis Praet to Dr Tony yet?

If we want proven 20+ per season championship scorers then Deeney or Rhodes fit the criteria. Rhodes and Rudy obviously have proven chemistry too.

New to twitter so not sure how to copy someones comment onto here but basically someone has just said 5 more years until we see villa in champions league. Dr Tony said 'no, we dont need that many years!'

Alan Nixon- Villa. Getting a bit worn out with Hernandez talks. Hull now looking for around 14m...
Just saw that on Twitter, followed up 10 mins later by agent dave saying the exact same thing and suggesting we are now looking at Rhodes

Rhodes isn't an international footballer, let alone World Class.
Plays for Scotland

I think it needs spelling out to the forum that Hernandez has been ruled out by Tony himself.
This isn't the Sun Dream Team.
Reading in between the lines I think we are in for Rhodes but have competition from Norwich.
Plays for Italy U21's so might be a moving buddy for Gollini?

Hope so, I had a tenner on Rhodes joining us at 16/1 this morning

The more I think about it, the more I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up signing Robson Kanu. Especially if our other targets fail to materialize and we're desperate towards the end of the window. I wouldn't be keen myself, but could surprise people.
This is what started it...

He does. But in no way is he world class which is the point I think people are making.
The thread is not strictly about 'world class' players though is it?

Puzzled as to why this is in this thread.
It was a response to Garvey13 saying he is amazed nobody snapped up Hal Robson-Kanu after the Euro's. I posted the link as it explains why!

Amazed no one has snapped him up after the Euros
was sure that one of the lower prem teams would have grabbed him. guess he wants alot of money now tho so that might put people off
Hal Robson-Kanu will choose new club on deadline day and has offers from England, Spain, Italy and France
- Hal Robson-Kanu is currently a free agent after leaving Reading
- The 27-year-old attacker is on the lookout for his next club
- Robson-Kanu helped Wales to the Euro 2016 semi-finals
Hal Robson-Kanu will decide which club he wants to join once transfer deadline day passes.
The 27-year-old, who is a free agent after leaving Championship club Reading, has offers from England, Spain, Italy and France. The United States is also a possibility.
The Wales winger is not short of attention after he helped his country to the semi-finals of the European Championship in the summer.
Hull City currently have just 13 fit first-team players and are understood to be among those to have offered him a contract.
The player, who is represented by his brother David Robson-Kanu, is also attracting attention from Middlesbrough, Burnley, Swansea City and Watford.

I havent mentioned him for a while so i'm gonna re-suggest we loan in Obbi Oulare from Watford just so the british press have a story to run tomorrow.

Anyone would think that me doubting that we'll sign Hernandez is some controversial opinion. I might well end up being wrong, but there's actually more to suggest that he won't sign than he will sign.
Lol, Useless you are a Legend and I thoroughly enjoy your posts. I also listen keenly and value your opinion so keep it up, I was just playin witcha!!

For anyone who wants us to sign Hernández, and is worried that I usually get it right, well actually I get things wrong more than I get them right. Like this for example...
Erm, no concerns over here! ;-)

Birmingham Mail might be back on side with the club somewhat but I don't think Mat Kendrick is particularly 'ITK', no offence.
His dentist is pretty accurate though
