Just mentioned this to DDID on twitter but I need to say it again. This Bjarnson fella is nicknamed THOR in Iceland! Do I even need to elaborate on how much we need someone called Thor? I dont think I do. I think you guys know!

Hmmm didn't this same source say deal was dead few days ago and he was ranting...
No, he told us that the medical that was booked got cancelled and the deals were not happening imminently. He also said the Lansbury deal was done but dont expect anything else until next week (meaning this week)

I think every thread should be titled off topic. If we start one on the pope it'll end up as are smokey bacon crisps better than salt and vinegar, Transfers, is Brighton a town or city. and Music will end up as Donald Trump prefers Gouda to Edam.
Full circle back to Bree...

Mike Skinner is a nose but I like the streets too. Kinda bitter sweet when listening to any of them lol. Watching Peaky Blinders does the same thing to me

Odd that seeing as the post in question got 11 likes.
As I said, you're talking rubbish. I travel up and down the country with The Villa, have been to some great cities. Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, London. Birmingham is up there.
And yeah, the people I've met love Birmingham. Great shopping, great nightlife, Michelin stars all over the place. It's classy, vibrant and you can dance your bollocks off till 6 in the morning.
Is it my favourite city in the UK? No. I'd not move from London. Is it in my top 5? Sure. To bring this around would I take Aston Villa being one of the top 5 teams in the country? 100%.
And the home of the Balti Dave ;-)

I don't think it is a good idea to release Hutton in this window. He is not a top player, but good enough as a first team player. The rest of the season we may see a number of injuries, and the depth of the bench is important, if we want to get to playoff. We should keep him till summer even if we manage to get a new RB.
Three midfielders in, optimistically, and we are back on track.
The same can be said about our CB's though! Injuries or suspensions there and we are in trouble.

What's that got to do with Birmingham as a city versus Brighton as a town? You want to get yourself in the right thread mate.
Brighton is also a City

im pretty sure prospective signings don't care at all what Birmingham is like , they live in Little Aston and are probably completely detached from anything that goes on in the inner city

Hmm how reliable is this? Usually twitter stuff I ignore
This is the guy I was on about the other day. Hes the only one I listen to and had a 100% record in the summer
Edit: he said last week that nothing will happen until the middle of this week while everyone else was tweeting that the Lansbury deal would be done within 48 hours

I'd be content (if not happy) to do the second half of the season with:
Johnstone
Hutton. Chester. Baker. Amavi
Adomah New CM New CM Grealish
Kodjia/Ayew/McCormack/New ST
I'm not sure that's good enough for play offs, but it's a solid enough base to build on in the summer. 3 more would be minimum for me, 4 if we can replace Hutton fingers crossed.
Injury or suspension at the back and we will drop points though!
January 2017 transfer window

Sounds like midfield is sorted. I would like to see a CB come in now as we are screwed if we lose Chester or Baker to injury/suspension. Also still think we need a striker as Ross is obviously a long way from match ready both physically and mentally, Gabby doesnt score goals anymore, Rudy has gone, RHM wont sign and I'm not even sure if Libor exists or if hes just a figment of my imagination. So that leaves Codger as our only striker. Palace in the relegation zone, bring Tekkers home! Well happy with that for a transfer window!
Edit: Sorry chaps, completely forgot about Ayew! Although he could be on his way anyway!
