  1. I would end up recommending my Fifa Team,

Sherman Cardenas (plays with Juan Pablo Angel)

Andy Najar (dunno who he is)

    Ayhan

    Kevin de Bryne

    Jetro Willems

    Zivkovic

    Martial (Monaco)

    Nice!

  2. Glad to hear that Tim's "ramping up the pressure."

Wha? What the hell does that even mean?

I mean, aren't we like two mothercruking years PAST the point where we ought to be "ramping up" the pressure? What kind of bullshite comment to the press is that?

The players don't lack pressure. What they lack is skill -- and some frickin' management brains.

If I hear one more stupid comment about our players being "lazy," I am going to vomit. That's utterly absurd -- and unfair. They are clearly working their asses off. They are a textbook example of a squad coached badly. They haven't any team coherence.

  3.

So I would spend my first £50m and some spare change on bringing in Ross Barkley, Gary Cahill, James Milner, Raheem Sterling and Saido Berahino.

I doubt £50m would buy us two of those players, let alone the whole list.

I like Berahino -- who doesn't? -- but I feel Sterling is overrated. Not all that impressed with Barkley. Cahill getting old -- would be too pricey, too.

You forgot to mention Wroy. A very English selection, no? What's the deal?

  5. JAY-sus. Answer the frickin OP's damn question ...

    for starters ...

Fast, precise, creative, scores some goals ...

Unlike Beneteke, this fast forward can actually hit the net ... and be ONSIDE ...

A menace, a finisher, a tricky handful on corners ...

My fave but probably too pricey ... can you imagine our counter-attacks????????

  6. Lerner had been a long, slow car crash for the club.

Finally I understand why Cleveland Browns fans composed songs about how much they hated him and put them on Youtube.

One of my closest friends is a Browns fan, and Lerner remains pretty much a bad taste in Browns' fans mouths, years after he sold out. He was seen as a do-nothing, asleep-at-the-wheel owner. Sound familiar?

Tim sherwood has now come in to rescue us after all those years of demise....no transfer window and 13 games....2gone 11 to go.

Best of luck Tim, you need as much support as possible.

Spot on my friend. Spot on.

Tim Sherwood deserves to be given some slack and our full support. He has unfortunately inherited a very difficult situation due in part to his predecessor being given way too much slack and retaining support for way too long, by me included.

It was highly optimistic and perhaps unrealistic to think he could quickly turn around a side that had been used to very negative tactics, whose first thought was a defensive one, had all the attacking intent drilled out of it and was prone to defensive errors.

What I have seen in the first two games under Sherwood is an improvement game on game, plenty of attacking intent and plenty of heart and desire. I genuinely believe that improvement will continue and that he will come up with the right personnel in the formation that gets the best out of them. Whether he can do that in time to keep us up is up for debate but in his quest to do so he will get my full backing.

If were relegated - do we stick with him ?

As I've said before, I think relegation will be so incredibly traumatic -- think of how an entire two generations of Villa fans will be grappling with something new -- it's almost impossible to get a clear mental fix on these kinds of questions until we're actually sitting in the shitehouse. But I think we'll need a fresh start. He could end up like Billy McNeil, the last manager of a relegated Villa.

  8.

Benteke looked dangerous and contributed a lot more to our attacking play than he has recently. Sweet overhead kick. He was unlucky not to score.

Oh, that's it then, he was unlucky?

Again. And again and again. And again.

    The bloke can't shoot.

Who would you put in his place?

She's fast and versatile. Sounds good to me.

  9. I voted "almost." Today felt like being Alex in A Clockwork Orange, my eyes stretched open and forced to watch a parade of ignominy. I'm hoping I feel up for a fight again by tomorrow, but I don't know. I feel I may want to reserve my fighting spirit for the Championship, where I actually think we'll need all the help we can get.

  10. After today's performance, I honestly don't see us as able to cope with Championship-level play. We're wusses and lacking in technique. I think we're headed for League One. MK Dons would beat us.

  11.

Feel sorry for the guys. They are a League 1 squad saddled with Premier League expectations. Can't blame them. What are they supposed to do -- ask not to be paid? They must feel bad. But I don't blame them. I blame Lerner.

Absolute rubbish. League 1 squad? Laughable.

maybe League 1 is over the top but on current form I dont expect many to be getting many Premier League calls come July1st

No way we're going to survive in Championship. We'll slip through like piss down the toilet. They have this rule there, too, that you have to get balls into the net to win games, you know?
