Good luck Lee.

Spotters badge.I smell some bullshit hereYeah, there's only 380 pages of it.

I kinda hoped MON would bring in a similar player to young to play on the left.
Me too. It would be a nice balance if we did. It would be nice if we had a pacey threat from both wings, it's so much harder to defend against. Unless a player has a great cross, I'd go for pace on the wing every time.

Alfonso Alves has an incredible scoring record
-
I wouldn't turn my nose up at Richardson, he gets an awful slagging on here but he's a decent versatile natural left footer. He's been hanging on to his Man U career for so long but the guy wont ever be good enough for them and I think he could be available for relatively little. Anything less than £3 million and I'd say in today's market that would represent good value, unless anybody knows of a better option? Duff perhaps? Two footed Milner (as we know from his days here) is a pale imitation of himself on the left, a little like our Young I suspect. Are there any good left sided players on the continent? I feel a natural left winger would really add something extra to us.
-
Milner and Young on the wings, swapping over every now and then, both two footed, sounds good to me. My only gripe is that neither are natural left footers.

Alfonso Alves has a great scoring record.

Suggestion, Heerenveen's Brazilian striker Afonso Alves. Scores goals and is a free kick specialist.
-
The thing about Defoe is he'd be another pacey player, good as he is wouldn't it be nice to have a good mixture of ability. Perhaps a natural poacher in the Nistelrooy mould, I don't know, it's just a thought really.
Klaas Jan Huntelaar would be a real coup for us from under the noses of a few more attractive clubs if we pulled it off, it might be a bit unrealistic though.

Ohh and well done to the groundsman too, the pitch was beautiful.

Blandy, the comment was aimed at a number of things I've read over the last couple of days, and not so much this article which was well written. Everyone is free to an opinion, but the idea that a person with a professional background in the fields opinion carries more weight is wrong.
Just to add, if my general feeling that most people are content/happy with the badge is right, then it cant be that bad a design, so I'd conclude that the professional verdict given by some is wrong. If a majority don't like it, fair enough, but I don't see that as being the case.
Anyway, that's my final post on the subject. I'm content and I'm looking forward to the next football game.

No...just a redesign that looks professional and is not crap....one which even if it is not everyones choice..they will be proud to where..and at least confident it is a symbol of excellence....
The only justification for that would be if a huge majority of fans wanted it changed, my general feeling is that most are content with the first design.

You know what, you're right...I'm sorry. I promise tomorrow I'll try and 'get a life' as you so politely mention.
This thread is talking about an article regarding the new badge, if you want to talk about the team, the manager or Doug Flamin' Ellis then start a thread and go talk about it there!
I'm off to get a life!
What do you propose, a re-design? A re-design that perhaps another group of people wont like eh? Then what? Another re-design? This is the one which was created, based remember, on what the fans asked for. It seems most are happy with it, so where is the problem?
Like John said, accept it and move on. It's only a bloody badge!
-
But I ask, again... Does it really matter? ... Given that probably most are happy with it.
Agree 100%
The club should be commended for the way in which the process was conducted from start to finish.
I object to these 'professionals' giving it the big I am telling us it's rubbish, we'll make up our own minds thank you!
The badge is also not as important as people are making it out to be, neither is the kit design. They are side issues, the important thing is the team on the pitch.

Love it.

I might be mad,
You are
I don't even think he's that special a footballer, he's the next Bowyer. Steer Clear.
-
Joey Barton!!! Shock
-
Man City have suspended an unnamed first teamer after a 'training ground incident', Joey Barton perhaps?? It wouldn't surprise me, if so would we really want such a trouble maker here?
-
Steven Whittaker, Hibs RB is highly rated. Anyone seen him play?
-
-
Bellamy is an excellent player, but he's also trouble and controversy usually follows him. Tough one.
-
Morten Gamst Pedersen I'm guessing. OF

just read in the mirror we are in for xavier margairaz, a swiss international midfielder and it will probably be around £1.5million
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xavier_Margairaz
anyone know much about this guy?
He's a midfielder who likes to get stuck in and is Zurich's Player of the Year for the season last season, apparently.

Good luck JPA
