very few of us have seen or even heard of many of the players in this thread

I use it to check out players I've never heard off. HOWEVER, i know that the clips only contain the 'best' bits of a player so you must that this into account.

I think us villa fans use youtube sensibly.. however, I feel that some ppl do use it alot to base their whole judement on... cough Steve cough cough Mclaren cough

You have to take in to consideration that only fans favorites have YouTube compilations made of them. For example you are not going to find one of Gavin McCann or Liam Ridgewell.

You tube has just answered my question for me. Nasri reminds me of SWP, very fast with good close control. Kompany seem's like a Lucio, big strong defender that comes storming out with the ball when wins it.

Cant go to wrong with Dutch Internationals. The Ajax team of the 90's was the whole Dutch team and they ran things in Europe. Until they sold everyone of their players that is.

If we do sign Bellamy and Barton I doubt we'll be topping any fair play leagues again. Fabiano will probably be joining us to on evidence of this. To be fair he didn't start it but still no excuses for punching like a girl though.

We are maybe after Taylor, Bellamy, NRC and a players such as Gordon.

"Alarming" thing is that these are players everyone we compete with can afford. Newcastle, Man City and Everton etc. It might turn out to

be a pick and grab situation, where every player goes to different clubs. I hope we have something special lined up. Darren Bent or Sneijder perhaps?

This is when the club which sells themselves the best will get the player. Money wont be the issue, more a case of which club shows they have the credentials to go places. MON could well be the key factor here.

I also rate NRC very highly. When a whole team goes off the boil the best players unfairly get singled out by fans as better is expected. When in reality their game is suffering due to the crap around them. When West Ham brought some new players and Tevez started firing, we started to see the best of NRC also but all the attention went on Tevez.

Would be a great signing IMHO.

I agree. He hasn't got the pace to play on the wing and he also has the ability to control games from the center. I can see big things for Barry.

Maloney is a great free kick taker. I can see him banging a few in from set pieces next year.

on a serious note Matt Taylor would be a very good signing and just because his not a "big name player" dosen't mean he wouldn't be a very good addition to our squad. In fact I think he would become a fan's favorite after banging in some 30 yard volleys!
