  1. Becoming clear? Its been clear from the start - money has the most say in all this. Always has, and always will.
  2. They're not exactly dealing in a way that makes them look like knights on a white charger though, are they?
  3. If he does transpire to be worse, then at least all the fans are ready mobilised to strike. ahem.
  4. Nothing that hasn't been in Private Eye over the last few weeks. You do all read that, don't you?
  5. Actually, as ever, the truth'll be between the two extremes. Well, except in internet land.
  6. Personally, I think it shows that he's just very sick of the Comers playing silly buggers. Or. He's just very sick. Another operation this week, I believe.
  7. I though that the deal was dead
  8. No, but having some pace the previous Saturday may have made enough difference to give us 3 rather than 1 points.
  9. When do you think this list will end with " ... and his pet dog"
  10. Thank God, someone here has access to a dictionary.
  11. OS's What The Papers Say section links us to a Korean left back and Hossein Khaebi - irani wing back
  12. Think we've missed a trick with Darren Ambrose - gone to Charlton. No interest reported.
  13. Benni McCarthy to play in claret and blue next season? West Ham, mind you, not Villa
  14. Oh, and to pre-empt the numpties - £750 k net spend left
  15. Where did you get the prices from? Soccerbase? Don't we report the details of the signings to the Stock Exchange?
  16. Louis Saha is faster and more of centre forward but has barely played for United due to injury problems. Very good goals to games record at both Fulham and Man U. Alan Smith is technically better, imo, and would add bite to any attack he is in. United supporting mates don't reckon that he is good enough for United, but he always gives 100%. Different players giving different things to the side
  17. Young Chelsea forward available for £2 million - Portsmouth are looking at him to replace Yakubu. Will he be next season's Peter Crouch?
  18. That was my other thought. Although it did seem that a player who had played only one above average season in the Premiership was being touted as 'about our level' for a second ...
  19. He's basically in the bracket of 'Talented Championship Players' that go to midtable Premiership clubs if they were willing to take the risk. Even younger or a few more seasons would only put him at the top of this pile, imo, and only because he'd be less of a risk. The important thing there is that they would still have room to grow as a player. If he was significantly better (trying to think of a name - the only one I can think of is possibly Reid, but Spurs paid through the nose for him), then he wouldn't be at Norwich now and I'll agree with that. I guess its a case of significantly better. But there are players out there that are only a few years younger with a bigger reputation (say 'Best Player Outside of the Premiership ... ) that are being courted by all the same teams. We were looking at Sidwell for well over a year but I'd imagine the trail started to go cold once Davis broke into the side. Scout stopped going to Reading games for a start.
  20. It would make him more like Sidwell - current suitors: us, and Charlton
  21. Hardly - especially if he was at just-relegated Norwich or, perhaps, like perennial target, Sidwell, at a half-decent Championship club.
