  1. why shouldnt benteke get 60k/week like ireland he's worth £30 million + to us and we have no reason to sell for any less. I still think he's mainly trying to get a better pay deal with us or see who comes in for him. I'm not convinced he actually wants out, after all he seemed to enjoy the games he played for us and got on well with team mates and fans etc. Asking for a transfer is the best way for him to get what he wants / better wages etc. .If he replicates or improves on last season maybe a ridiculous offer in January could prise him away, however we could be pushing for Europe / silverware ourselves this year Thing is, the club are in a sticky position whilst they have people like Bent and Ireland sitting around doing nout for 60+ k a week, and we are offering our best player and one that arguably saved the club millions by scoring the goals to keep us up, is offered considerably less. All it does is give his weasel Agent something to bite on. tbh i really don't get why that ireland guy gets 60K/week and benteke got only offered 40K? he singlehanded saved villa from relegation. while ireland was watching him do that from te **** bench...
  2. here guys to cheer u up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfOJjSXw-VU
  3. what do you mean? Im guessing hes saying that a certain player we all used to love, may be on the funny stuff if he believes his agent has his career at heart. I took it to mean Lukaku was unfeasibly big at sixteen years old. It's not just Lukaku, his physique would take around 3 years of body building training without help. they got african origin they r all like that
  4. This is the post of the day IMO. I truly believe Benteke is worth £35 M minimum too. Because of our previous track record I would be highly sceptical & suspicious of any player make weights in any deal & would hope the hierarchy of our Club have learned the lesson of Stephen Ireland & insist on a straight cash transaction only with any prospective suitors. The only exception I would make to this rule would be for Romelu Lukaku if/when Chelsea eventually enter the bidding. The only problem I have here is understanding Lukaku's true value as he appeared to be on fire for the `Boggies` last season. To sum up £15-20M + Lukaku & I would deal. ( Or is Lukaku worth more than £15-20M?) Am I being disrespectful in that assessment on Lukaku? What do Wes & Belgian Guy value Lukaku at? I would really value your opinion to help me with this equation? Anyway, the bottom Line is this. Benteke is 100% worth £35M Minimum, anything less & we're definitely rippin' ourselves off. Lukaku is an exeptional talent: -he played already CL on his 16 with anderlecht -he became topscorer on his 16e in the belgian competition -he outmusculed every defender on his 16 he scored 17 goals in the PL on his 19 i am not good in valueing players but he isn't far from Benteke's level. the only difference is Benteke can create his own goals lukaku still depends on ballsuply this is a picture from Lukaku at his 16 Belgian guy! "Given a choice who would you rather see at villa, Lukaku or Benteke?" well Benteke has proven hiself that he perfectly fits in the system that aston villa currently plays and as i said not much strikers have the abbility to create his own chanses on his age already. but imo lukaku has more talent in the long run. so id go for benteke and i honestly don't see lukaku come here :s
  5. Based on my 3 minutes experience on wikipedia we should 100% got for Castaignos out of those two. Thats interesting, based on my 3 minutes i would've chosen Finnbogason! Whats your reasoning? I will divulge: Wikipedia compared Castaignos to Henry, Inter signed him (so I thought oh he must have something about him), he is taller, and he's 20 when the other guy is 24. I just thought maybe Finnbogason should have pulled up more trees considering he is 24. But maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. There ends my "knowledge". omg no please dont get castaignos he is shit i follow the eredivisie he got lured by the big money from inter but failed compleetly he went to fc twente and even there he's still shit.

  7. well, what did u expect? "here is bale and 50mil?"
  8. Dempsey, Kaboul, Bale, Dembele, Sigurosson, Holtby, and Sandro would all be excellent players to pick up from Spurs. Vertonghen?
  9. DP that's a very good point and my worry is if Spurs are interested they might subsidize any makeweight's wages to push the deal through. True, wouldn't surprise me if they offered something close to £20m plus one of (or even two of) Naughton, Townsend, Huddlestone and Livermore. Obviously speculating here but when have Spurs ever paid £20m+ for a player? Benteke is out of their price range as a pure cash transaction. Another issue will be Benteke's reaction when we do reject Spurs' advances, it's likely that he'll go on strike like he did at Genk. It'll get very messy. Indeed it could get messy - but IF Benteke does opt to go on strike to force the move, I think it will damage his career undoubtedly and may put off suitors in the future. A player to strike once is enough, but twice? he could be on the verge of tarnishing his reputation. One way or the other, I just hope this matter gets resolved quickly Benteke has to realise that we still hold the cards, he has 3 years left on his contract and it is a world cup year. If he goes on strike and either refuses to play or is frozen out he will simply lose his place in the Belgium team to Lukaku. So he needs to be playing regularly and at his best next season regardless of who he's playing for in order to cement his place. Levy gets queasy around the £20m mark, he's happy to sign players from Brazil who have no experience in a top level league for £17m but isn't prepared to fork out the necessary money for not only someone who is a top talent in world football but has proven to be a goalscorer in one of the world's best leagues. Again excellent points DP and it is up to our club what we are prepared to accept rather than having to pander to anyone else. Benteke and his agent should also remind themselves what happened to Bent. what happend to Bent? He's been frozen out of the team - not sure it's just down to attitude but more that he doesn't fit in with our current style of play. I think the poster is saying PL isn't afraid to bench anyone regardless of club status that was because benteke is better. right? also bent is lazy could lose some weight imo

  11. do you think he will come for 20K/week?
  12. No offense mate, but I doubt anybody gives a turd. i do, its still new for us belgians that so much belgians play in the best league in the world. He looks like a real talent, watching him right now hes nr 44
  13. idk maybe borrow him he's a winger who likes a free role a bit like eden hazard
  14. No offense mate, but I doubt anybody gives a turd. i do, its still new for us belgians that so much belgians play in the best league in the world.
  15. off topic: Adnan Januzaj is starting 11 in the game thailand vs man united adnan januzaj is belgian
  16. he doesn't want to go abroad the PL is his dreamleague
  17. i'll be totally honest I'm desperate for him to stay with us, to get his head down stay one more season and help us develop on the pitch some more. The lad is a world class player, been ages since we had one of them in fact I'd argue we never have before. He oozes class on the field, not so much off it, but in terms of his ability he is top notch. But the thing is, and don't get me wrong Belgian guy I think you are a decent poster and I'm glad you are on this site so please don't take this he wrong way, I am a fan of this club and I think you have to be a fan of this club totally bought into the club and what's best for the club to have the opinion that if he wants to go then its best he does, my loyalties are to the club not benteke. You see if he wants to stay and be committed to the club for the next season then that's what I want more than anything but it doesn't look that way, he has had his head turned (helped by a word removed of an agent), he wants to go to another club , spurts FFs, and he has made it clear. I only want those committed to the club. Benteke isnt yea ur right but its difficult for me im like between two fires :s
  18. I agree, Benteke is probably worth £25 million, can't be worth no more as he's had one good season. However, because of how he's reacting to wanting to leave, Spurs, or any other club looking to buy, know Villa are in a situation where they can either sell lower and reinvest or keep hold of an un-happy player who has a track record of forcing his feelings onto a club (strike at Genk) to force the issue. I know he has a 3 year contract but in the cold light of day, we've seen enough in modern football to know contracts really don't mean anything. If he stayed and got played, then already you go into the season with a divide around the club. It seemed that everyone started pulling together come the end of last season, started to get behind the team and Lambert and were looking forward to next season to see what this team could kick onto. I can't look forward to next season if he stays, as we then have a possible situation where other players start to resent Benteke or the bickering between fans resurfaces, Plus, how much do you think clubs would be willing to pay next summer for an un-happy player with a 2 year contract on low(ish) wages. Not the figures we are looking at right now, that is certain. Next Summer it won't be about us though, if he stays and wants his big move/world cup football next Summer, then he will have to perform 100% this season rather than sulking. This is why we have the power, we don't need the money if we don't sell it is unlikely that Benteke will want to ruin his entire career by refusing to train or play. Fair comment. But then you are giving a player, who has openly stated his desire to leave, playing time over other players who are at/moved to the club who actually WANT to be here for the right reasons. It's a bit of a catch 22 situation. It's a shame he has joined at the start of what could be a good few years for Villa. He's joined a side that has completely ripped up it's principles about how things should be done and gone back to basics. If we'd finished top 6/7 I honestly believe we'd not be in this situation with the player. there is not a single player who is as wanted as benteke in the squad is lets see what weimann would do when he is as wanted as benteke is. you can say ooh other players want to stay but theyr not hunted down for their signature. it isnt the same. i would be very suprised if you ppl wouldnt want your paycheck to be 5 time doubled if u got the chanse for it.
  19. you can all say you want him out but deep down there you want him to stay...
  20. euhm he lost ur respect for doing something he didn't even do?
  21. i can confirm that he used to be a teacher. udate: i can confirm that he was benteke's private tutor at racing genk. the guy was fired from racing genk because he interfered with manager buisness he forced sinan bolat from racing genk to standard. this guy got his wealth from leaching.
  22. i really hopes he reconsider "his" decision its very unfortunate that he has bad people around hime.
  23. if we get like 30M€ for benteke hypothetical wich garantueed goalgetter will come to villa for 20K/week? we need to invest in the wages and get rid of the guys who get paid like 80k/week and sit on the bench.
  24. another factor is that lukaku is gone out birnigham.
