  1. i have a question yesterday i saw a movie called : hooligans do you guys have also a firm like in the movie?
  2. so did he show up? btw whats is itk?
  3. I wouldn't be so sure about that... only messing belgian guy hehe if he doesn't show up im done with him. he can't read english
  4. why should he not play anymore for belgium ? axel witsel also plays for zenit st. petersburg and he is our defensive midfielder. in his time at genk he already turned down some ukrain club where he could make tons of money.
  5. It's his job, that stuff isn't a factor these days. Like I said elsewhere, I'd gladly shoot off to another job if it a) was more prestigious, would potentially get me noticed by more people, and c) pay me more than I would be capped at here. In that order. Loyalty doesn't come into it for regular Joe's jobs, why this assumption it does for footballers? Not when you've been plucked from the Belgian league to play in England as a young bloke. Thats like a polish refugee given a job and a home in england, proving he's a good worker then has the front to say bollocks to your payrise and contract, bollocks to your hospitatilty i can get more working over there so i want out (even though you're paying me more than enough, i can stomach one more year with you..) But I guess thats how a lot of people are thesedays. He can get his move, its just after one season it really gets me how he's just used our club. i didn't hear you complain when the club used Benteke to stay up didn't i? Come on BG, Benteke played a large part in our escape from relegation, but then again so did the rest of the team..... This may surprise you but he is employed by Aston Villa to play football to the best of his ability, and that is what he did, nothing more. This is Aston Villa FC not Christian Benteke FC. only thing i want to say it that he not just used aston villa like bleedcaretandblue said villa paid him and he did his job he didn't abuse anything.

He was being paid to do a job. And didn't he did his job or what? Yes, but he wasn't 'used' And he didn't used aston villa then.
  7. you said "it really gets me how he's just used our club." the club used him aswell is the only thing i wanted to say the club paid him and he did his job i don't see whats the "just used the club" thing?

  10. He wouldn't have spurs top of his list if that was the case Were guessing that Spurs offer more money and and a guaranteed start and a slightly higher profile. No one else has come in for him yet but i bet he wont stop here if they do, even if hes not going to start every game. Why else would he leave for Spurs? he would there be the 1st striker (since defoe and aby are going away) he would play with at least 2 national teamplayers(possibly 3) he would get a reasonable salary that fits his worth he would play in europe league he would be in his favourite league
  11. if i wanted to leave here and wanted to support another team i wouldn't make a stay at aston villa flag don't u think?
  12. in terms of the modern football 20k/week is a joke for a player like Benteke Well last season it was a massive pay rise for him, such that he was happy to sign a 4 year contract. I know you feel protective over him, but realistically putting in a transfer request isn't the action of a guy who wants to negotiate a better deal with Aston Villa. Benteke has had his head turned by his pals and the bright lights of London, that's fine but that doesn't mean Aston Villa should just let him go for the first derisory offer that is made (particularly as no offer seems to have been made as yet). Benteke and his agent are clearly buffoons, they have shot their bolt far to early on this one, i hope this is not indicative of people from your country (in both shooting of bolts and intelligence levels). that would be an ridiculous hypothese like there are no english players who are tick and who wants to move..
  13. seriously? wow... Be honest.... don't u think its a alot of effort to come here on a english forum as a foreign language speeker to support tis club? you can't expect me to stop caring about christian. if i wouldnt support aston villa i would already be off trust me
  14. in terms of the modern football 20k/week is a joke for a player like Benteke 12 months ago it was a massive, massive raise for him, one he had no problem taking. It certainly wasn't a joke then. To play devil's advocate one could suggest that were it not for us signing him and paying him "a joke" £20k a week, he'd still be earning a fraction of that, rather than looking for £100k 12 months ago he'd had everything to prove himself now he's wanted by other clubs he's showed his worth and his potential. if Villa is so desperate to keep him yes then is 40k/week a joke offer.
  15. tbh if u look at the facts at tottenham he would there be the 1st striker (since defoe and aby are going away) he would play with at least 2 national teamplayers(possibly 3) he would get a reasonable salary that fits his worth he would play in europe league he would be in his favourite league tbh it would be a pretty logical step
  16. Had we paid that for him that logic works for me. Perhaps that's what we should be paying him in those circumstances. We didn't. He came as a <£7m striker who we took a chance on, who did well for one season and was offered an improved deal - as were others of the class of 2012 and they signed up. If he wants that salary level and can get it elsewhere, the buying club need to pay the going transfer rate for a player of that calibre and any premium we decide to demand extra to compensate us for the fact we don't need or want to sell and will have to source and fund an adequate replacement. Under no circumstances should we give a five-fold increase to a player who has a good season in the first year of his contract because he gets all L'Oreal on us. he followed every step of that scenario its not his fault hes been false promised by tottenham.
  17. in terms of the modern football 20k/week is a joke for a player like Benteke
  18. if i gratuade and i get a job where i sign an contract and the next week i get an offer to 4 double my salary im off. can you say with the hand on your heart you wouldn't at least consider it?
  19. you can't expect from him that he stay's happy after villa thinks he is worth 40k/week for them. "everyone sais it doesn't matter what he is worth for other clubs for us he is worth 30million" well at least pay him then a 30million price tag worth salary.
  20. Conversely, if Benteke thinks he's worth £100k a week, the transfer fee on his head should be in line with that His contract is for £20k, that's what he agreed on last summer. We've offered him a pay raise, but he apparently wasn't interested. That's fine, but he can't expect to be worth £100k a week or close to it and leave for less than £25-30m For that to be true the reverse must also be true. If we think he is a top player and demand a big transfer if he leaves then we must also offer top wages to entice him to stay. We don't have to offer him anything, he's under contract. He's perfectly entitled to do what he did in that case and opt not to sign a new deal, hand in a transfer request and see if he can get the money elsewhere. We offered him £40k a week, according to reports, he's the one who, apparently, thinks he's worth a lot more. Is he? Probably, but he'd likely have been offered another raise next summer anyway. We can't afford to pay him £100k a week though, but that doesn't mean we have to accept less for his transfer. His value to Villa is approximately £27.5m based on some crude maths I did earlier in the thread, but that's only his value if he is sold. While he remains at the club you don't have to factor in squad disruption, cost of a fee for a replacement or cost of wages for a replacement, most likely reducing any value to close to Spurs' line of thinking around £15m that is true but then he doesn't HAVE to want to stay aswell then. you can't be mad on him because he is prepared to listen what other clubs have to offer then.
