That Villa loss is in their heads

Seems like Arsene Wenger convinced a lot of people that winning the "4th place trophy" is more important than winning actual trophies.

I watched Dortmund last night, having not given a monkeys about UCL matches in a loooong time. The rules are the rules, as long as there is the chance of a little insurance policy to get us into UCL then I am paying attention. Each to their own though!

Great result for Dortmund - deserved. City and Arse win tomorrow and we're good.

1 game a week on average at times that normally won't clash with business events. Huge car parks, 2 motorways within 2 miles, a45, a452 dual carriageways, an airport, a station that goes straight into Birmingham, within 10 minutes, new HS2 terminal 500m away, Into London within 35 minutes, a new light railway going in to further increase capacity into Birmingham, entertainment center pre built with more space to around to develop. Hotels right there on its doorstep, casino, cinema, its all there already. Its a staggering opportunity.
As for worrying about drunk fans staggering around, I have been one of those and the lack of pubs around villa Park tell you a story, there's not many staggering fans left, their not our future audience.
The premier league is a international competition, its watched all over the world, we stand on the edge of being in the elite group of teams, we need a ground and facilities that can attract world wide fans for their holy grail visit and make the most of them while they are there.
Into London in 35 mins? That is mental - and strikes me as one hell of a reason to site a stadium there, it's basically as accessible as any London ground.

Emery will leave the moment he believes there is nothing more to be achieved at Villa, if NSWE keep giving him what he needs then he could be here a while.

Whilst 4th now sort of in our hands I’d still like to see the following :
City through, Bayern through, Atletico through and Villa through.
City then beat Bayern and we win our semi. That gives 5th place just in case right ?
I agree, give me certainty as soon as possible. Then if Spurs get 5th we can tell them to thank us.

Hard to compare clubs in the top 4 - you have Liverpool and Arsenal with relatively healthy squads and are challenging as expected, City who have financially doped for a decade and who have no excuse but to challenge, and then us who have x3 ACLs and then some to deal with, and a squad nobody expects to challenge when the season kicked off. I'd mention Spurs but they have no excuses either without any midweek european games to contend with. If Villa gets UCL this season it will be a magnificent achievement, pound for pound as good if not better than any other team has done this season.

I love how he has made us all consider what sort of character we would be if we were married to him, some are rather aggressive offering blow jobs and others are just passive like I'll lie down and he can do what he wants.

I agree mark - this is as high a feeling as the strength of the low when relegated - every fan of football will be looking at Villa nodding in appreciation of what us the fans are experiencing.

Would have planned for a future without him as recently as Saturday, but he's just gone and proved himself. Stay at that level my man.

I think it's possible, of course there's a chance the club would consider moving - but for the moment they've said, both privately and publicly that they have no plans to move away from Villa Park and that they see it as our home; now, tomorrow and always. I think it's much more likely that the club would look to try to purchase land around the ground and develop where we are, but again, there don't seem to be any current plans to do this and the club hasn't spoken about doing it, or wanting to do it, either privately or publicly.
For now, and for the foreseeable future, we're at Villa Park - and with the money the club are looking to spend improving Villa Park this summer and the summer after, then it seems unlikely that's going to be changing any time soon. With the Euros in 2028, even if it's what we're thinking about, I wouldn't expect to see a new stadium either in Aston or elsewhere until the mid 2030's at the very, very earliest, and that's a long time away, there's no guarantee that we'll still have the same owners or be in the same position by then.
The plan that makes most sense would have been the North Stand, and without knowing why that was cancelled, it's difficult to predict what the club will do next.
Surely it was cancelled cos they fancy a move? I mean you don’t extend your house if you don’t see your future there.

Newcastle have done us a massive favour today, am I right in thinking we will be OK until the next round of games even if Arsenal win tomorrow? Think we can nick a draw if we're at our best though.
They do nobody a favour because they sign a squad everyone else calls a first team. We’ve been disadvantaged this season about that, how must everyone else feel? Utter cubts. And pep? Give me Unai evetytime.
shit just realised I was taking man citeh, just proves yer don’t need ears

Just can't see VP being redeveloped - there simply isn't the footfall necessary to make it viable in the long term. A new VP would be part of a district with multiple reasons for people to visit - Witton could never be that, there isn't the space to develop.

Arsenal aint scoring tonight, they look out of ideas. City far more likely.
