I don't give a **** what your political or religious or financial stance is, nobody, NOBODY, should die for it.

I have my opinions on what's going on, but it falls into the trap of 'we want, they don't, let's do our thing' and I **** hate it.

There's enough knowledge, resource, raw materials, technology on this planet for everyone to live together in harmony forever, travel space, learn from each other. But we're here going 'nah mate, that land is mine because it's in a biblical text' - Nah, get ****. This world isn't for that mindset.

And that's every religion, I don't give a single smoke about your learnt upbringing, humanity is humanity, wake up and be a **** legend to everyone.

It's impossible to disagree with your sentiment - we are screwed because 'some people' believe they are destined, folks scoff at that tired old line of islamic virgins in heaven awaiting them, well there is something obviously awaiting all religious nuts, nothing the fook at all. I'm tired of it, I'm bored of the troubles, have your beliefs but do not expect anyone to kowtow to your beliefs, and if you massacre a people expect some push back, i.e. Israel's current problem with everyone else.

  3. There is a danger surely that Reform get an offer from the conservatives to effectively take over the party and they step down. They say they won't, but it would be madness to believe them, they've done it before. It wouldn't be enough I think, but it's possibly the only scenario where the tories don't get wiped out.

  4. Watching these results with popcorn. Conservative intra warfare is something to watch. So much ambition, bitterness and ego and privilege stabbing itself. Honestly think they have been waiting for the event of the locals to go nuclear, and attack sunak.

  5. As the local election results come in the Tories are hours away from all out civil war and they are gunning for Sunak. Sunak has not ruled out July as an election date in order to head off a leadership challenge - of course he would take action at that point, he's looking after himself. It's close.

  6. I think it's slowly dawning on me what an achievement this is going to be, or already has, we've stayed the course with an ever changing back 4, no Kamara, squad depth consisting of new to the league 21 year olds, and more league/euro games than any of our rivals. Been ranting to a bored daughter this morning about how UCL is so close, but only by ranting have I gotten over last night's disappointment, and I have to say I'm suffering from an underlying nervous excitement which I think will require medicating in the next 72 hours.

  7. Yeah the focus has always been UCL first, ECL second, we have got further than I think Unai might have expected given the squad rotation in Europe. As others have said, it’s been about the journey and we are so vastly more experienced now in a European competition that when we hopefully enter the UCL we do so with wisdom, something NUFC did not have the benefit of.

Yes, you were one of the people this was aimed at. Yeah, I think that the UK being more complicit is a decent justification for being more active in this thread - although didn't you say you were Irish? Not that it matters hugely.

However, I remember you saying you were going to teach your kids about how evil Israel was, etc - so I think in quite a few of your posts you're saying or implying you think the Gaza conflict is uniquely bad among the bad things happening in the world. Again, is that a fair reflection of your views?

A thread about Israel is probably an appropriate place to discuss dual passport holders!

Yes, schools are struggling to answer questions on the Israel/Gaza conflict, to the point they avoid it - I don't blame them, it's very easy to be labelled antisemitic if you utter criticism of Israel.

    Someone has posted on skyscrapercity:

"Some sort of cryptic SM post today from Gabby Agbonlahor about filming a video for the club and saying exciting plans for the future and "the stadium is in good hands". I'd expect some sort of stadium update with this video"

Someone's asked Gabby to be on camera? Heck out.
