My dad used to take me on the train a fair bit when I was younger, so I wanted to return the favour that day and take him. Hopefully we can get the same result (1-0).

Unfortunately he passed away in January, so I feel a little emotional sat on the train, on my own, thinking about all the times he used to take me and now he's not here. Hopefully he's watching and can bring some good luck upon us!

Hoping for a great atmosphere, and can't wait to see Villa Park again in all it's glory, been far too long.

If I lived that close to VP and knew what the plans were, I would wait for the neighbours to sell and hold out to the last to extract maximum money. I can't see it happening for that reason. It's so unpredictable and could take decades.

Bournemouth mate says they are playing with confidence cos not in a relegation scrap this season. It will be very tough.

Have to say, forcing people to sell their homes so Villa can make more ticket monies is not something I could get on board with. If they want to sell then that's a different matter but Villa will have to pay the price the seller wants - whatever that is surely it's less than building a brand new stadium overall.
