What's the rough chance percentage-wise of 5th getting a CL place?

England is 3rd place to get it currently ,we need the German and Italians sides in the comps to go out.

So West Ham and Brighton losing this week didn't help at all.

  2. It's a cynical foul then type you see City and Liverpool make all the time .If he was running through on goal I could maybe see the red but area it was in ,it was a yellow

At 60 minutes we needed changes. It was clear. On 75 minutes I was still wondering why there weren't any changes.

The problem last night was that the players under performing were the likes of McGinn, Ramsey, and Luiz, and we just didn't good alternatives on the bench. We needed Tielemens and Kamara last night.

Not sure Cash would have started but if he was avaliable he would of been on earlish in the 2nd half.  If I have a critique I would like to see us sometimes stick Bailey /Diarby wide left to cross the ball from byline not check back like they do on the right ( granted Bailey does get some assists from RF cross's) Just think some variation would be good.

I genuinely think Solanke might take his Euro 2024 spot at this rate and he'd only have himself to blame. Solanke has scored three more goals in a worse team and is in great form, if he keeps that form going I really wouldn't be surprised to see Southgate call him up over Watkins who isn't clinical enough and too often is anonymous in games that aren't being played to his strengths. Barely noticed him again last night.

How many chances as Olly missed in last 2 games , he has zero service .He is a know quality teams are actively working to stop him now. Solanke is in good form ( as are Bournmouth who are top of the current form table)  but this is the first time in year's he has been prolific soon teams will target him like Watkins.

Which is maybe fair considering the minutes he has had. He probably isn't match fit to be thrown into an entire game. It seems an adequate excuse for Ramsey and Mourinho.

Reality is he doesn't play if Tielemans, kamara are available or possibly if Zaniolo is a bit better.

I think he's a fine option for about 4th choice and did OK for 60 minutes.

Was fine for 60 mins or so , and then lack of games caught up. Emery mentioned player's needing minutes in his post match , Dendonker is one of them.

  6. Need to beat Burnley to end the year well  and set us up for the Jan games.

Squad is creaking a bit now , Kamara is not replaceable with the current group. We need a RB as Konsa as an attacker is not good enough there and we miss him at CB. I think a right footer attacker is needed.

I thought he was brilliant until the sloppy pass then he put in an absolutely woeful last 35 minutes. Strange - his head went.

Would agree with this for the most part , his pace helped us out alot at times but that pass was so poor. Was unlucky to get hit with the second goal as Emi had it covered until then.

  8. According to The Athletic article regarding this the West Mids Combined Authority needs to find £30mil to develop the Station which Uefa expect 80% of supporters to use for Euro 2028. I'm going to assume this is part of the issue given the well know financial issues with the council.

Purslow's plans looked impressive but then so did the signing of Couthinho so perhaps they were not as robustly achievable as communicated.

Going to be controversial but since we got promoted he has been our best player. Mings, Konsa, Emi and biscuit shins have all had good spells but Luiz since that Covid break has been a model of consistency and is getting better. He probably hasnt even hit his peak yet and has overcome the not being 6 foot 5 that some fans think a midfielder should be. I remember some on here laughing when I said he was better than Phillips and Bissouma

Unsung hero of the great escape season.Trez had the goals and Jack was Jack but Dougie was immense

  10. Is a short term fix , just using last season's kit ?

I did see on Twitter that Wolves also had an issue last season but it was resolved , those small teams of course don't make the headlines for these type of matters 😋

A thought ( Yes we were shite )

But i wonder if these teams will monumentally raise their game against us as " underdogs ".

Guaranteed all these teams see a PL scalp as the ultimate" F*ck you "  to the " system ".

On the flip side, some PL teams think they can just turn up and get results as they are " Premier League " etc.

Bring the two together and you're in for a long evening.

Effort needs to be put in.

This  ,  they where up for it from the first minute backed by the fans.We started slowly and even with subs never got any rhythm going

As bad as it was it would be a good wake up call and better to be crap now with plenty of time to improve.

And if he’s an excellent English CM being good enough to start for Champions League clubs, then getting £14m and a % sell-on for a player that we’ve grown through our academy is a terrible deal.

It’s not like we can just sign players like that off the street.

Mf's who have played in the CL ?

So hang on Luton are willing to break the transfer record for some Barnsley player but not our Marv?

Sure their record fee is just over a million from back in the 90's ..I expect it being broken alot in the coming weeks

  14. Gerrard was 100% Purslow's doing as was the signing of Coutinho ( look at the way he announced it as the players awards ) ultimatly SG being a failure was going to cost him. I imagine after swapping manager midseason we didn't want more upheaval hence he was kept around but minute SG left he was effectively gone as well.

  15. Only a year left on deal I belive so suspect a deal will be found for Luton to get him realatively cheaply and we get some return back.Alternatively perhaps another loan with a loan fee and wages covered.

I wonder about the Haaland deal. At only £50m ish transfer fee half the football work should have been in for him, but City seemed to be in a 1 horse race. How did they make it so lucrative that nobody else even bothered?

Release clause .It was between them and Real and City offered higher wages 400K a week apparently

If,....if man ci$y were to win or the charges dropped, then I am done with football, the gates will open, a green light will go on and even more blatant dodgy stuff will happen...mainly by the top 6 .....

I think this could take a long time to resolve and a small portion of the bottomless pit of money is spent bringing in top greasy oily lawyers for the cheaters looking for a misplaced comma that will cause the case against to be thrown out....

Fingers crossed that for the good of the game they get the most severe punishment due. It is important to show other clubs that this is what can happen.....the deterrent has to be enough to stop this cheating and it's not just these cheaters, I am convinced that other teams have been trying the same "model" that the cheaters have been using .....

Does it include selling your ground to your owners to minimize loss's as we did ..
