As much as i would love Dempsey, why would he come to us if Liverpool came in as he as stated clearly that he wants to go to them. OR if Sunderland came in with double the wages which MON will do. Chamakh is a good call on loan, play along side his fellow country man. If he doesnt work out send him back.

Same is going to happen this season again(hopefully) if we dont get at least another 2-3 good signings IMO the majority of that was down to the manager and injuries. Any half-decent manager would have had us comfortably mid-table (9th-13th) last season with that squad and no injury crisis (e.g. not losing your two best players for the rest of the season in February and March). Yes its good points you make. Deep down myself and most other people are scared they are going to have to go through the same nightmare as last year. Though we dont have Petrov and he was a massive massive player for our team. I dont believe we replaced him and this is worrying. On a positive point, Collins is gone, no one could be worse than him this season.

Does anyone think Guzan is able to step in for Given. I'm Irish and think the guy was an amazing keeper but i think he is starting to go down hill fast. He was very poor for Irleand in the Euro's (maybe down to his injury) and is now very injury prone not to mention the start he has had for us. i guess what i am saying should we be on the look out for another 1st choice keeper?

Yeah Peter Grant, him and lambert are good mates. Im not obessed with a big money signing. I would be over the moon with 2 6-7 million players, as long as they had top flight experience. Dont have to be world beaters but get stuck in.

So we got Bennett and nearly Bowery. All we need now is Stephens for a top 10 finish. There has to be a big money signing before Friday. Reason behind my thinking is why would Lambert have taken the job if he was been giving no money to spend. I see Grant has now come out and said Lambert needs money. Obvs putting the pressure on Lerner to cough up before its to late.

Nope thats not what i am doing anyway. I think Lambert is a quality manager and his hands are tied. What i am saying is we need a couple of premership experienced players who we have a realistic chance of getting with the wages we are paying. The likes of Jamie O'Hara. Not world beaters but would do a job.

Signing young players from lower leagues tend to work better when you are yourself playing in a lower league as Lamberts previous teams has. Secondly i don't think he's signed any unknown players from Europe before he came here. Nothing wrong with this policy if you have quality players for them to play beside and bring them. At the moment we dont. Lower league players along side young players.. wonder where we will end up. So what about Norwich they did not have quality players and they finished 12th. We cannot afford the fees the players you want cost, If it was not for Lerner's money we would probably be in administration you cannot sustain a £56 million loss each year unless you are a top club in the Champions League every year. We spent loads and still did not make the Champions league so maybe a different approach is needed They had plenty of time to get used to playing with each other before they came to the Premership.

100% agree. I've been saying this for a while now. From the lower league players we are being linked with, i think i would prefer Lambert throwing on his boots again and playing this role for us. Essien, Palilious, Lennon etc.. People need to get a reality check, Lerner isnt releasing the money for these sort of players.

Guys its avoid relegation at all costs. I'd take one of the spice girls if i thought it would keep us up. Ask any Coventry Fan today if they would have done that way back when they got relegated.

We could do alot worse than Wynsma to solver our DM problem. He is head and shoulders above anyone else in Scotland and wont cost the world. Also he wants to leave as he doesnt want to play left back in Scotland were Celtic have been playing him for the past few games. Him being able to play at left back also gives us another option.
