I really dont think we need a RB or LB but I would pay 30 million plus on a midfielder. The CM position is.critcal. luis, McGinn and imagine a ball winning aggressive player. Connor cant cut it in the big games!

Yep. This is exactly what we need striker, 2 wingers although I think Benrahma would cost Upton 30 million. The only doubt I have is that I dont know why people.think we need a new left back. Targett was pretty good and Taylor offers good.cover

Absolutely spot on if we make the right signings we can really.kick on . Personally I would get rid of samatta and look to sign a proven premier striker with experience. Maybe like Burnley did with Rodriguez. If we have 2 wingers and grealish it really gives us great options. Against the weaker teams jack can play in the middle 3 and let the wingers do the damage up top. Not sure we need another CB

You can be involved and not make all the decisions. All I know is that he wanted Maupay, Konsa and Benrahma and he got wesley and Trez. This suggests he was involved but didnt get what he wants. So no oxymoron at all. It's not just a bilateral option. 100% blame yes or no. We will probbaly never know who bought who, the key is we made.mistakes and we have to make sure we dont again. I would argue that he has worked miracles and with decent players I have no doubt we can move up to top 10 next season. Surely the last few games has been enough to suggest that Smith has the credentials to do a job

Yes. Makes sense. I just hope we spend on a lot of.money on 3 or 4 players. 1 striker , 2 wingers and a strong box to box midfielder.

Of course he is involved. Of course he has a say. Of course he will publicly talk about his.willing involvement in the process. Ultimately though Suso has.a.job, that job is to sign players. He has signed players who are not good.enough. who is responsible for.signing players its suso. Leave smith out of it

Utter bullshit. The original comment was about signing maupay and Benrahma. The other poster suggested I was pulling facts from thin air. It's not based on nothing its.based on common sense, articles and good sources and managers comments. Let me.ask you a question , donyou think grealish will go? If the answer is yes I would.ask why? Are you pulling facts from thin air. There is a big difference between possibly grealish going to a.manchester club and grealish going to barca. Ask yourself why? He decided or pulsow decided or Suso or we didnt have enough money. We may never know. I'm sure we got players who weren't his first choice or second choice, so to say he got what he wanted would be false also.

I think if you read papers and journalists who are in the know it was a commonly held opinion re Maupay and Benrahma. So it's not just pulling them out of the air. My point is that players were bought by Suso that have been awful.

If what you suggest happens. Next year we have heaton. Guilbert. Konsa Engels. Target. Mginn Hourihane. Davis wesley samatta It's a pretty good core to start with. I have no problem if Suso goes .for sure we.need players with heart and desire.

The squad building was generally ok. What was criminal is not buying a decent striker or winger. Smith obviously wanted his brentford boys but my point is we didnt get anyone which left us with 2 shit wingers and a striker who was clearly not ready for the premier league. We have a director of football responsible for making this happen. It didn't.

Well. He did get us promoted and would do so again with a superior team. That's a good enough reason. As far as this season I've seen enough to see the bad luck we have had, the lack of depth in the squad. The poor signings. Hes basically been given a dodgy motor and somehow we still have a fighting chance. Why would.you get rid of.him?

I really dont get the criticism of Smith. If we had bought the winger striker he wanted we would be staying up. We bought a.lot.of.non premier league ready players and its took a while for.them to fit in.
