Is Smith falling into the same trap as Bruce. Playing Kodjia on the wing is a waste of a shirt! Especially so as Abraham has publicly stated that his preferred position is wide left. At this rate it won't be too long before Jedi is back as a CB, Axel will be RB and Hutton LB. Why the hell cant Smith see this? Another 2 years of chaos beckons if Smith cant sort this out. Bree and O'Hare still can't make the bench! It seems that Smith is just a Bruce 'clone',. Cant see us getting more than 2 points from the next 4 games. Its a waste of time changing managers/ciaches if they are both focused on operating in largely the same way!!

You’ve only put Elmo has a miss because you don’t rate him. Must would say he was good business.
Why is Grabban a miss? He was quality.
I would take Grabban over Kodjia all day long!

I was one of the many that said that he must do more than is being made out. The signs look good at the moment, so let's just hope that leaving what he had a Brentford doesn't hinder him and our progress.
You're right in what you say about all clubs having a big team around the manager, but I think that Brentford's set-up is just uber-in-depth, to the point that most clubs and managers would probably think it's overkill. I'm sure they have a specific 'kicking coach', and coaches for other individual parts of the game like that. (Jumping coach? Who knows.... diving coach!)
Dont need a 'diving coach'....Grealish is just fine without one!

Awful last night IMO....terible decision making and so selfish. Kodjia will never be a team player. Start Bolasie instead!
-
I thought Kodjia was awful last night....terrible decision making. Would replace him with Bolasie who was a real threat after he came on!
-
Quite a good performance but dropped deeper and deeper and were lucky not to concede. The second goal wrapped up the win! Thought we played better against QPR and got nothing........it's a funny old game!

O'Hare not even made the bench again, very disappointing!

I quite like Friday games...but only when we win. I really hope that O 'Hare gets some game time tomorrow. He deserves a chance IMO!

Calum O'Hare can't even get on the bench again. Very poor decision DS imo!

Even at his worst, he's our best attacking midfielder.
First name on the team sheet every week.I don't think it will stay that way unless there's a dramatic improvement in his 'overall' play. I really hope DS can get him (and others around him) to play the 1 touch pass and move game that his Brentford team played! He needs better movement around him, it's a collective effort! I think that his confidence and performances will get better when DS has the team playing in the way he seems to want them to.

The way DS likes to play....fast 1/2 touch play and move gives him a bit of a problem with our current midfielders. Whelan and Jedinak are clearly too slow to play that way. Jack will never release the ball unless he has beaten the same player 2 or 3 times. I would like to see McGinn, O'Hare and Bjarnason given a chance at QPR tomorrow !

Where's the tension....? I have a beer in one hand and a cigar in the other! DS...will get it right!

He does not look up for it, at all.
You could see in his eyes he wasn't up for it pre kick off on Tuesday, I'd take him out of the team for a few games, hopefully put a rocket up his arse.
Agreed...O 'Hare, McGinn and Barney in midfield for me!

If that’s what you mean we all noticed, how do you know Smith didn’t ? You said “ we all noticed why didn’t he “ ?
Why the hell didn't he do something to rectify it then? If he did and still done nothing ....which he didn't it makes it even worse!

Wow. Two games dude. Two.
No, it's NOT too soon to see what everyone else on here can see.....and he gets paid very well for it! Basic schoolboy errors. An experienced manager can change tactics during a game. I, and numerous others on here slated Bruce for not being able to do that (quite rightly) so it's the same for Smith.

Count to 10 mate, then go to bed and have a good rest.
What's that all about? This is a debate so if you haven't noticed I suggest that it's you that needs to lay down, and give you're head a good wobble in the process! Sleep well!

I, and many others would have slated Bruce for picking Whelan. So Smith can't be excluded from criticism! Went one up and then sat deeper and deeper! Does that sound familiar?

Jesus give the man a chance. Two of the substitutions were due to injuries and he can't be blamed for basic mistakes made by the players.
He shouldn't need a chance ....if we can see on here what's happening 'on the pitch' then so should a well paid manager!

Noticed what ?
That we more or less gave up innthe second half ....no energy, no desire and no passion!....just like many on here posted in the match thread! That's what we noticed...didn't you?

Three points of note for me
1. Grealish is dog shite
2. Nyland is worse than dog shite
3. We're hopeless without McGinn
4. Smith is NO 'master tactician'...... Too many schoolboy errors. And his poor decisions have absolutely no relevance to to the fact that he's only been here for a few days....everyone here noticed so Smith should have noticed too!
Grealish and Smith are not beyond criticism just because they are 'one of our own!.....that's totally irrelevant!

I don't expect the impossible. I'd expect him to at least do as much as McGinn, for example. He doesn't.
Spot on! I know I wouldn't miss Grealish anywhere near as I'd miss McGinn!
