It's not just the win, it's the manner of the win. Great free from fear attacking performance. Playing to win rather than playing not to lose....that's a refreshing change and I'm loving it!

Great performance from everyone! McGinn motd for me. Nyland very impressive today!
The best away performance I've attended since Anfield and The Emirates!
Well done Dean Smith, well done everyone!

He can't defend. He can't attack. He can't pass.
TBF....I do think that the Coleman leg break incident as affected him quite alot but he is improving game by game, albeit, very slowly!

Got a good feeling about this one! 1-2, Abraham and Grealish to net!

Brilliant story and not in the least bit surprising.
thank you for sharing
You're welcome....I think about that night so often. You wouldn't get anywhere near the dressing room these days and to transported by the team coach is a very special memory!

No he hasn't said that, but I think he's just being diplomatic!

For me, Bedeau is good enough and has all the attributes. It’s rare for us to play young players from the start of a match, they usually get a few minutes at the end of a match. In my opinion, he’s outstanding and could cope easily, I think he’s that good
That's good to know. I believe he played a few matches for Bury when they were in League 1 or was it League 2?

Thank you. For Bedeau, I would have said it's too soon, but he's physically developed a lot this season and he's starting to look the part. It'll be interesting to see what happens if we get an easy 3rd round FA Cup draw for example.
Thank you. Yes, it would be good to give him minutes in a cup match!

And if you needed a reason to sign on for this - tonight's commentator is only the inimitable Jack Woodward!
I really look forward to you're posts on here. You are very dedicated and knowledgable on the under 23s. Just wish I could get to some of the games. I used to love watching the reserves back in the day when the old 'Central League' was going. Do you think that Bedau will get a chance under Smith this season? Or is it too soon for him?

I did, He's a Burnley keeper isn't he?
What the heck as that got to do with my post? I simply said 'one of the Burnley keepers'. I have absolutely NO interest in you're view of Joe Hart....? lol

Joe Hart! - No thanks, would rather keep Nyland in goal over this word removed.
Who mentioned Joe Hart?

I have great memories of Ron. Villa were playing a German lower league club in a pre-season game (we had just signed Peter Withe). I was serving in Germany at the time and I was well pi**ed. I realised that I could'nt get back to barracks as the last train had left well before the game ended (this didn't deter me as I was desperate to see my beloved Villa in action). At the end of the game I made my way to the dressing room area and to my surprise the door was open and there was Ron and the team with a couple of crates of beer which the players were enjoying. I said hello and was offered a beer which I gratefully accepted. To my surprise, Ron asked me about serving in the Army in Germany. Eventually, we got into to talking about how I couldn't get back to barracks as I had missed the last train. Villa were staying in a hotel in Dusseldorf and to my amazement he allowed me to travel on the team coach to their hotel from where I could get a connection to get home! It was a fantastic experience for me, and one I'll never forget!
Thanks Sir Ron

I don't think that we need to much in January!
I would recall both Elphick and Clark, sign another CB and try and get one of the Burnley keepers either on loan or permanent!

I'll give him the same respect I gave Samba.
If he works long enough and hard enough to get himself a deal here after coming with, I assume, no guarantee of getting one, then he deserves it.
I imagine he'd be filling very much the same role as Samba. First choice striker!
I'm kidding, I mean I imagine he'll be an emergency centreback who's only called on when we don't have any other options.Don't need him! We'll have a plethora of options in January!

I have my doubts that Smith will get us promoted this season or next. He certainly doesn't strike me as premier league material. Time will tell I suppose.
Spot on he's way out of his depth!

Is Smith falling into the same trap as Bruce. Playing Kodjia on the wing is a waste of a shirt! Especially so as Abraham has publicly stated that his preferred position is wide left. At this rate it won't be too long before Jedi is back as a CB, Axel will be RB and Hutton LB. Why the hell cant Smith see this? Another 2 years of chaos beckons if Smith cant sort this out. Bree and O'Hare still can't make the bench! It seems that Smith is just a Bruce 'clone',. Cant see us getting more than 2 points from the next 4 games. Its a waste of time changing managers/ciaches if they are both focused on operating in largely the same way!!
Why are you confused....everything I've said IS factual. Hourihane is another one, he hasn't got the passing skills or power to operate tgat deep....O'Hare is perfect for that role and Bree is perfect for the RB slot. Move Hutton back to LB and move Taylor out ASAP. A front 3 if Kodjia (centre) Abraham (wide left) and Bolasie (wide right)....job done!
