I thought Hunman was a geordie?

His natural accent must be bad if @HKP90 thinks he’s Welsh 😂

Tbf I sometimes think the Geordies with softer accents (or at least use proper English words) are Welsh.  Lyndsey Hipgrave on TNT Sports is one that I thought is Welsh and there's one on Sky Sports News as well.

  2. I wonder whether he's struggling to settle in the area or something.  It's been such a drop off that it could be on the mental side rather than physical/ability.

Nah, it really isn't, there is absolutely nothing subconscious about it. I've told The Real People story numerous times, hell they even ripped off The Real People, the band that taught them how to rip off other bands

I never got why the Realies didn't just keep the secrets to themselves and sell tens of millions of records of their own.

    Everyone deserves a third chance.

I'm not that bothered about Broja but for us to give up on someone with Duran's potential quality, he must be an absolute dickhead and I bet Unai cringes when he sees his behaviour on public display on the pitch.  Hopefully I'm wrong or he wakes up and sees what an opportunity he has here and stays.

If it absolutely had to be one of Luiz, Kamara or Ramsey though....?

That said, Newcastle can **** right off!

I think this is the crux of the matter.  Ramsey would be the least bad player to lose among our key players, albeit still a big blow to see him leave.  Let's hope it doesn't happen anyway.

  6. I did wonder if Bayern might come in for him and we would listen to offers.  Not so much other PL teams though.  The whole FFP thing is stupid in that we might have to look at this kind of deal to stay compliant when we are in no financial difficulty whatsoever.

  7. I pay the £30 a month subscription for Pret because it's the cheapest way to get a coffee working at an airport.  They're about £4 a pop for a black Americano so a quid a day for up to 5 hot drinks and 20% off food is great value but **** me does the coffee taste like shit most of the time.  My app says in 2023 I saved the equivalent of £187 a month if I'd bought all the coffees at full price.

Every Rumble winner has been painfully predictable since 2019.

I'm guessing Seth Rollins being injured and maybe not ready for Wrestlemania meant they couldn't really have CM Punk win it, only to not have an opponent.  I hate Seth Rollins anyway.

  9. I watched the Royal Rumble earlier, it all seemed very safe and predictable, not sure if that was due to the circumstances or what.  I'm not sure it was worth me paying for but I've always had a soft spot for the Rumble.

    Spoiler

I really like Bron Breaker so glad he got a go instead of Lesnar, his spear to the Viking dude was immense

  10. What a great win.  Pope fulfilling his potential and Stokes's captaincy with the spinners was brilliant.  Congrats to Hartley, I really didn't see that coming.  I just wish TNT had put a bit more effort in, not having anyone in a studio to analyse it was pretty poor.  Well done to the Windies as well.

Got tired of making badge designs so thought I'd have an early look at a kit design for next year using an Adidas template and the leaked badge design...

Think I might try a few different patterns... and maybe try something a little less obvious with the claret and blue to try and make it less 'West Hammy'

I think the gold stripes make it a Villa kit, I hope they use them.

  12. Could be one for the piss you off thread but recently it seems like all new books are more expensive on the Kindle than hardback.  There must be very little printing, distribution or warehouse costs involved surely so how can they charge more?

has he said that? we have a 30k waiting list.

He said because we usually have a couple of hundred seats unsold we don't have the demand but ignoring that's probably just last minute tickets that have become available that nobody knew about, nothing to do with actual demand.

  14. Would be a good move for everyone, as long as we can find a replacement.  Hopefully Unai has a gem like Moreno up his sleeve.  It doesn't look like we are in for Phillips anyway.

He didn't assist in either Hibs game, did he?  Am I missing something?

Transfermarkt has him down for 10 league assists but other sources say 8.  I assume some count penalties won as assists and the others don't.

so are stud up challenges in to peoples shins ok now?!

    it seems so.

I'm surprised a player could do that to a Liverpool player without getting a red.  Probably worth a sin bin if they ever get round to trialling it.

City paid £4m when he was still only sixteen, that's how highly rated he was one, he had already played for West Brom's first team.

And it's not as if he's been a massive flop since then, or if he disappared off the scene,  he was one of the best players in a League One team that reached Play-Off final, at that point would have still only been seventeen or eighteen.

Then had a couple of seasons in the Championship, stats might not look super impressive, but I think he was injured for a big chunk of spell at Bournemouth and his other club was Blackpool, not exactly easy for any youngster to impress in a team that are likely to be one of the strugglers in their league point is he was still good enough to be playing Championship level at such a young age.

And now he's showing why he was so highly rated when younger, but it's not as if he's a late bloomer, as he's still only twenty-one, and in the mean time, he's being doing better than most other players his age in his development years

It sounds like a few of the big clubs were interested in Rogers when he went to City, I wonder if one was Arsenal when Unai was there and he has kept tabs on him since and liked what he saw in the FA Cup game.
