He was good today, should have stayed on because he might not have set the pitch a light but he was one of the ones trying at that. Hopefully he can pick up some form now despite his poor start at Villa.

He's in a bad patch. Some people need to get over it, we were crying for him and when he scores again everyone will sing his praises again. Granted he's been shite lately but we know he's always a goal threat and we've wanted one like that for a very long time and to let him go just like that woul be a silly move imo.

f*ck tiredness just come out and say we weren't good enough today. Keep the ball and pass...yep we did and tbh i though the first 60 minutes of that game we kept hold of the ball despite the shite goals quite well however, we starting sliding backwards and gradually just lost all power really. The two goals were against the run of play and our defence couldn't cope with the pace of the attacks which for the second goal was shite, that really set us back. What we lacked today was well 3 things and all of them are major aspects. 1. We couldn't pull the trigger when we were in on goal, we looked scared to, what was that about?! 2. Our defence today looked really shaky, the pace of their players particularly Dyer caused our lot at the back some major problems. 3. Taking off players who are one of the better performers in the game (yes I mean Ireland, should have stayed on unless he asked to come off which he didn't) Cuellar looked great yet again but asked to come off which worried me greatly tbh. We were better today but the mistakes at the back and sloppy play when near the box caused us to lose the game and that's vital, we should have won. So really it just wasn't good enough in the end.

Let's hope this form continues because we can get ahead of ourselves at times. Great win as I said though, nice 3 points to gain.

Jesus christ! Happy new year everyone! Lol. Great win, 3-1 and 3 points. Couldn't have turned out any better for the scoreline and fair play to Ireland who finally came good today. Feel really chuffed to be honest, just really happy to see us do that again.

The fact creativity was at a low and the fact our finishing leaves a lot to be desired. Agree tonight wasn't too bad but there is still a million miles to go for this team before we can attack properly without hoofing and being boring.

People are reading too much into his every move lately. Yes he'll leave, we always sell assets but not for another season or two imo.

I agree with the effort thing you mentioned, our boys went out there with pride but the negativity comes from the comitting men backwards and not passing forwards despite being the better of the teams. We had 58% posession, 9 attempts (sounds good tbh) but only 2 of them were on target and if passes completed was still a stat we'd be humiliated due to Collins and Dunne hoofing at every opportunity. A lot of work needed tactically and clinically but effort is top notch.

One can dream eh? I sure hope he does too but I'm doubting it majorly.

A point away at Stoke when they're not even in first gear and we're hesitating to pass a ball forward is pretty much what I expected but yet another bore draw, can't help but feel annoyed again despite it usually being a decent point. We're now 6 points clear of relegation and we've played around half or so of our fixtures, we're in 12th. Disappointment is obvious but it's the manner in which we've got to 12th that is pretty shite. Usually a decent point but Stoke barely got out the blocks and we should have capitalised on that rather than comitting men back and not losing again, that tactic is quickly becoming my least favourite of all time if it isn't all ready. Never the less a point is another point and we didn't crumble. Guzan -7 Didn't do much but when called upon looked solid bar 2 little mistakes, commanded the area well imo. Cuellar - 8 Best defender, miss him. Wish he was first 11 as he always keeps calm. Collins - 5 Another shocker, more panicing and hoofing. Dunne - 6 Similar to Collins but slightly better, defensively solid but the panic stations on these 2 have to stop now. Warnock - 6 Did decent defensively but today he joined the panic stations. Albrighton - 5 Pretty much wasn't there and when he was in a situation to advance he fluffed it. Petrov - 8 One of his best games this season, really improved this season and has kept calm on the ball. Clark - 7 Showed signs of real class and calm but then would do something silly straight afterwards. N'Zogbia - 7 One of his better games, still yet to do some real damage but he's showing signs now. Gabby - 9 Effort, pace, block off the line, energetic. Another one of his good games this season. Heskey - 7 Better from Heskey and a good effort on his part. Fonzo - 5 Most of what he did could have been better. Had a good run but still made a mistake after, unluck with the saved shot though.

On the break we almost do it but everytime we're just falling short.

Perhaps because we've only managed one shot on target. Lmao exactly, yet we've had a few chances now to see this go our way. We're pushing our luck now though.

Least we're able to string passes together there though, we couldn't even do that a few games ago. Yes it's Stoke but at home, they're not as agressive as usual....after just typing that another corner almost results in a goal for them.....get it right lads.

Zoggy just wide, dragged it. Better football but we could do with an extra body going forward to make that next pass doable.

Yes you're right, we were still worse. Ok, the world doesn't revolve around this heap of shite. The Utd game was overall still better to the neutral. For the neutral yes, but I'm not a neutral that's why my opinion differs. As for this game, Stoke haven't got going and we've still took no advantage...we're in for a long half hour or so.
