Exactly. It makes it interesting for some I guess, but it appears it is the usual suspects once again on twitter. Having said that, he hasn't revealed the players name..That would be madness of course. He will only do that once it is known to the media that we are interested.

And it's also an absolute fabrication and has no substance whatsoever. But hey, makes for good reading I guess. He is a quality player and I am sure if any offers do go in for him, he won't be short on offers.

Not a chance. We won't even consider any offer for Benteke below £30m. And there is no chance we would sell both. Bent is a goner. Benteke will be here next season.

What Lambert has said is pretty much along the lines of that incognito account. Safe to say we will be looking at young and hungry players, which is the way to go. I don't expect too many signings in the Summer. 4 at a push.

Also, about IncognitoAVFC on twitter, I'm pretty certain he's someone from inside the club. The people who followed his tweets this time last year will agree, I'm sure. He got a lot of 'McLeish out/ Lambert in/ incoming signings' tweets spot on.

Yeah he knew all about the problems Lambert had with Norwich on the night we asked to speak to Lambert. Definitely someone from within the club.

Howard isn't a football agent. He is a managing director for a catering firm that has connections with AVFC. He has a close relationship with Paul Faulker, but I don't think contracts will be being discussed, unless it is whether to add some Benteke Fried Chicken to the menu.

Such a quality player. The disheartening thing is, if only we had strengthened our back line, we would have the makings of a really decent side. Unfortunately, where we were hoping we could build a team around this Beast; his stock is rising week by week and I am certain now he will not be with us necxt season.
