How long have you been on here diehard?

 

We've seen many people hounded out over the years, those with actual contacts or connected to the club themselves in some way. 

 

You may have passed on this info expecting a little bit of gratitude but the reality is you'll be scoffed at and slagged off to a far higher degree. 

Been on here quite a few years mate. Very rarely post to be honest. And to be completely honest, this information was the only snippet I have received for many years. I completely trust where it came from. It was provided to me with good intentions and he doesn't make a habit of revealing transfer links, but when he contacted me, he was very excited about this potential signing. Obviously, when I was told, nothing was confirmed or guaranteed. Just that there was significant interest. So when he tells me we made a bid for said player, I will trust him.

I am just pleased we have been linked with such players.

If I knew this Kiyotake link was going to cause such a meltdown, I would never have mentioned anything. What has transpired since I revealed his name on twitter has been nothing short of embarassing and very unsettling indeed.

Can't wait until this Window is over now to be honest.

Update on Kiyotake: We did make bid of £6.5m 4 him. This offer has subsequently been rejected. Lambert still wants him, but not4sale. #avfc

This guy reported our interest a long time ago.

As I said earlier, typical ITK behaviour.

 

Regardless of what happens now, that guy can claim he's right.

 

We DID bid for him but it's rejected. Lambert MAY go back in.

 

It MIGHT still happen, but probably not.

 

If we do sign him, he can say "see, I said we'd go back in for him"

If we don't sign him, he can say "told you it probably wouldn't happen"

To be fair, the Belhanda saga was completely different. That was never happening. This one obviously is no guarantee, but far more plausible and plenty to be hopeful about.

Personally I don't think there is such a clause. 

Clubs are well within their rights to bid lower than a release clause. All about testing the water. Doesn't mean it will work of course. All about declaring an interest. Obviously, a release clause reduces the negotiation power of the selling Club. Like I said, we have made a bid. Nothing has been accepted though. Far from it.

Yes this is different. Kendrick never lead with a back page story we wanted Belhanda as he maintained we were not interested in him, he was right.

 

Different feel to this one, clearly there is serious interest from us.

 

I reckon we'll sign him but it will probably take a few weeks as Nuremburg will want a good fee. 10m they'll probably accept as that is good money for a mid table Bundesliga club.

 

His release clause is in excess of that figure so I am told. There is definitely interest. No doubt about it. However, nothing has been agreed. We have made a bid, but we are way off in their valuation of the player. I will never claim to be ITK. Kiyotake information has been the only snippet I have been passed on and it has proven to be solid info. Will it happen, who knows. I hope so though as he is some player.

If this signing actually comes off we know the link started in the general transfer thread when some posters here on villa talk pointed him out as an interesting option.

Wes later posted a article from a Japanese newspaper making the link/speculation far stronger.  All ended up on the twitter jungle telegraph, And  Julie B got it in her head that she's ITK.

So if he signs, please don't hail her as ITK, she's as far away from it as possible.

Rather hail Wes for finding that article.

Right, I've been off today, but as far as I know, #avfc have enquired about Hiroshi Kiyotake. Not sure if it has got any further than that.
