Unreal, the three candidates that I wouldn't want out of the long list for the Villa job are top three favourites. Benitez @ 4/5 , McClaren @ 5/2 and Martinez at 3/1. God help me!!

McLaren...I'd be interested to hear his Brummie accent but that would be about the end of my interest I think.

Basically a better version of Martínez as he's actually proved himself. Would be ambitious, but ticks all the boxes for me.

I mentioned this a while ago and naturally the press linked him to us before Houllier was dismissed. Good manager, but had a shocking season at Ath Madrid. Could be worth an enquiry.

I still don't think we should discount Moyes. I think this has a long way to go, but a lot of news will be flying around all next week to keep us fans excited. I still think regardless of media speculation that Moyes is very much in Randy's top two of listed targets.

i know this has nothing to do with this article, but my chairman for the football team i manage has been friends with the agbonlahor’s since he played under him at under 11′s level for great barr has been told by gabby himself, Mark Hughes WILL be villa manager after 30th June, all the reports are bollocks,there hasn’t been an official announcement from villa ruling anyone out of the running for the job, that clause has stopped the immediate appointment of Hughes because even tho he has quit, if we try to appoint him now ‘officially’ we will have to pay compensation for him. i trust this source because he told me years back he knew and managed gabby, i didnt believe him until he got him to do the teams annual football presentation, so who knows….
