  1. I popped a fiver on him earlier in the week at 50/1 just out of blind madness. Be a lovely £255 back if it comes off Didn't realise that Klinnsman had Premier League managerial exp.
  2. And according to the make it up as you go along Mirror.........Mark Hughes IS now a possibility for Villa.
  3. Not Bob Bradley...............Please no!!! I'm going to bed now.....tomorrow will no doubt be the headline 'Father & Son join Villa'. Or 'Villa keep it in the family'...
  4. I respect your opinion, but i disagree. It has to be steve for me. What is wrong with you? Mclaren? Really? Good coach mate. Title winner, fashionable and he has great hair. Seriously,if we can`t get ancelotti i think he is the next best option. Really, you honestly think Mclaren is the next BEST candidate for Aston Villa manager? Are you mental or just a wind-up merchant? Haha Im not mental. I just think steve gets a bad rap because of what happened with england and when he did that interview in dutch. Looking at his club record i would take steve over most of the other candidates. The same McClaren who you stated earlier as making England the best team since 66. Don't make me laugh, I can't take it anymore.

  6. I got Rijkaard at 40/1 yesterday, cheeky fiver on that. Worth a punt. Can we please have a new poll??
  7. And where did you hear this from or is it just idle gossip again!???
  8. Rijkaard @ 20/1 sounds a good £5 bet to me. After winning £100 on Stricker yesterday I think I may have a litttle £5 flutter on Rijkaard @ 20's, Jol at 12's and Moyes @ 10/1. One of them has to be under consideration surely.
  9. I don't have to redeem my opinion to anyone, that's called living in a democracy. I stand by backing Steve mclaren for the job. If people like you want to be dicks about it then thats up to you. By the way, snoop dogg is word removed. WRONG this is Villatalk, we are not a democracy, we abide by the LOL (Law of Limpid) and your opinion is against our laws, we will hang you and feed your penis to the goats. (It's a bit like being on the LOST Island here, watch out for the black smoke (Richard). Haha.....Brilliant... But dodgy, you do know the black smoke wasn't richard. He is on here he is trying to get me... help! pmsl.
  10. Exactly. Yes, he is a good up and coming manager with great prospects. But, this is a guy who is still learning his trade and he is very much in the early stages of his progression as a manager. I would find it very unwise for Randy to choose a manager who is currently still developing his management skills and learning what it takes to manage at the top level; when we quite clearly need stability. I don't understand how anyone can say with certainty that they would expect him to provide stability. This is a guy who barely kept wigan up this season. We are in a transitional period, and what I do not want is someone who is a novice, and unproven. Yes, his philosophy on how the game should be played has to be commended and I do have great respect for him as a manager, but we need someone who can steady the ship and at the same time move us forward. With Martinez, unfortunately, at this time, I believe it is far too early for him to take such a big job!! And no Valhalla...That doesn't mean..........Steve as you like to call him will meet this criteria. NOT ONE JOT!!

'McClaren turned England into the best team since 66'????????????????????????????????????????? case closed!!!!!!!!! La-da-da-da-dahh It's the motherfuckin D-O-double-G....................!!!!
  13. Valhalla...........Don't go trying to redeem yourself now. Any suggestion you come up now with be deemed obsolete after your ridiculous 'McClaren turned England into the best team since 66' comment. Now move along. Thank you.
  14. I think it's time you left now...Best manager of his generation!!!!    God my sides are hurting!! Sidenote: Can you please change you profile picture...Its making me feel sick.
  15. Steves club record is good, you could argue he has done a lot more than Hughes has. Yes most people would be against him at first but I think most would settle down and give him a chance. Steves record with Twente is good, his record with Boro is average at best. Despite the heavy backing he recieved as manager he achieved only one top ten finish, where as Hughes has never finished outside of the top ten when he has had a full season in charge at a club, with much smaller resources, Man City aside. So yes you could argue, but your case would be weak. Steve got England playing again, best football since 66 in my opinion. Borough fell apart after mclaren left. I think he over achieved there. Main thing I have against Hughes is his habit of walking out on clubs. We have already had one tosser do that and I wouldn't be keen on another. Steve would respect this job and be in it for the long term. 'Steve got England playing again, best football since 66 in my opinion.' Nothing anyone can say to that apart from....        bye 'Steve would respect this job and be in it for the long term.
  16. I would be happier with Rijkaard than McClaren thats for sure.... It doesn't bare thinking about having Schhhhteve McClown at the helm come August. I'd be extremely disgruntled if the board believe for one minute that out of all the managers out of work; he is the most qualified to take a club of our stature forward....
  17. Am i the only one on here that would give her one? Or am i just desperate? *Raises hand slowly* Can't help myself when watching the Apprentice. I'd BANG IT! just the once though. I'd have to go back for seconds i'm afraid, hard! Oh no...Once would be enough for me

  19.     the door is that way!!! :bonk: :bonk:
  20. Maybe, maybe. But who knows. We've gone from a list of Moyes/Hughes/Ancelotti/Benitez to McClaren/Jol/Martinez... I think every journo is just throwing names into the ring now....And although he seems to be on the money more often than not; Mat Kendrick seems to be playing a guessing game as well. Is that a smoke-screen ploy as he is so close to Villa sources ...Who knows. Usually I take his info as gospel but now I'm very sceptical. One things for sure the Bookmakers are loving this. All the names that have been banded about...All they do is drop their odds accordingly; gamblers read into the decrease in odds....resulting in massive massive bets to try and make some sort of profit on it believing they are dead certs..... I'd stick an outside bet on Sanchez Flores if I could find a bookmaker offering any odds.. You don't know how we gamblers work then :winkold: We don't go backing whoever's odds shorten, the way to the poorhouse that is. Erm....I'm talking about people with more money than sense. Bookmakers earn there money from significant large bets. You only have to look at horse racing for a prime example. If an outsider wins at say 100/1, the bookmakers are quids in because people are spending less to win. If the favourite wins; although they are taking much larger bets, they will be paying out a hell of a lot more. Obviously they shorten the odds to protect themselves.....but, at the same time; if the favourite wins regardless of what bet it is, they would still be paying out big sums. In the Villas Managers case.....The odds have shortened due to significant sums.....and because the situation hasn't been resolved, they have taken a huge chuck of bets without any payout.
  21. Shaun Teale was saying on skysports radio that there are a few names he wouldn't want taking the job...Whats the betting he was referring the McClown.?
