We are pretty much guaranteed at least 5th now. All this irrational bed wetting about being caught by the likes of Man Utd, Newcastle and West Ham is beyond embarrassing.
Well now you’ve gone and done it.

You won't be laughing when they beat us 14-0 nil next week
If this happens I will buy a season ticket for Birmingham City once they are in that new 98k capacity stadium.
I’ll also buy one for CVByrne as well. Might cheer him up a bit.

Whilst we are seemingly going to finish top 5… I do think there is a small, legitimate concern with Newcastle now. Because they are in decent form and seem to be steam rolling over sides again like they were doing last season. They are facing all bottom half sides for the remainder of their games. Cast your mind back to how embarrassing we were against Tottenham at home and look what Newcastle have managed to do to them today.
I officially concede regarding Man U. They aren’t catching us.

Bournemouth mathematically ruled out today - still everyone down to Wolves with some sort of chance of catching us.

Bournemouth can still overtake us if they improve their goal difference...
Yep 28 goal swing and we’re toast.

I think the real worry is us getting relegated tbh
Wait… do you mean to say, we should open up the thread again?

We could end up finishing 10th when all these teams catch us!

Imagine if we win tomorrow. Not only would it complete the double over Arsenal, but would really put us in a great position to end the season on a high. Our form this half of the season has been relatively hit or miss though, that’s my only concern.

At what point does the thread go from being happy with Newcastle battering Spurs... to being worried about Newcastle overtaking us
Newcastle 1-0 Spurs…

Newcastle is a wonderful city filled with wonderful people. But I hope they don’t get carried away and that they lose next week.
Palace and Sheff Utd for them next…

…what if Newcastle win their last 6 in a row?!

So to confirm has it all gone to crap then? I haven’t been paying any attention to the coefficient stuff!

We kinda need these minutes to get another goal! Very fragile lead to be going to Lille with.

Can VAR call it back or not?

Bloody hell! Why does Luiz insist on getting on booked!

Hope you’ve got your £10 donation to VT ready
What was that for again?

We’re doing that thing again where we are playing by conserving effort. I’d rather we did that in the second leg when we are protecting a 3-0 lead though!

Play like this in future games and we’ll win the league.

Need to extend the lead here. Don’t fancy going to Lille needing the win. 3 or 4 needed at this point!

You lot are ruining breakfasts with mushrooms. They have no place on a plate. They should be in a field, left well alone.
Fried blood clots also have no place on a plate.- 3

Race for Champions League - 2023/2024

Would it be a bad thing, if we… you know… exited the Europa conference? Is the opportunity to focus on champs league not far greater overall?
