The whole area would need to put under a Compulsory Purchase Order so they have no choice. We would need to prove that by doing so it would be of socio economic benefit to the local and wider area. Right now it’s shit housing stock with a football ground as its neighbour. Any development would need to include at its heart community beneficial amenities and services. The whole area from Aston hall to the academy building would be opened up into a thriving new district given locals more opportunities, jobs, entertainment etc.

How long would a period of consultation or notice take for that kind of thing? Assuming we’d need to help every single resident find new housing within timeframes? I have no idea how this kind of thing works… as you can probably tell.

I mean, with the new academy structure across the river, it’s clear that we will be staying in that spot. But I’d be surprised if we managed to secure such a large space based on the outline you gave (as awesome as it would be).

The amount of apartments, hotel beds, offices, retail, recreational and community facilities which could be built within the highlighted area would be a massive catalyst for regeneration and could also get government levelling up funding towards the wider area. It would add value to the remaining houses.

That looks like an awful lot of houses in that area. Buying all of them is going to be out of the question. Not everyone will want to move, etc etc. Whilst that space would be ideal, it surely has to be impossible to acquire?

Why arent Spurs playing next week? Seems really odd at this stage of the season.

Yea it’s annoying because they essentially get a break. We just need to win and make it so that they HAVE to as well. If we win the next two we could be 9 points above them by the time they play again.

    Wow Sky.

Trossard tracks back to win the ball - absolutely brilliant from Trossard.

Diaby tracks back to win the ball - Villa are having to double up

Part of the reason why sky was removed from my life! Because the obsession is just too much

  5. Just hope we don’t make it so damn easy for them. We have a tendency to lose these sorts of games quite heavily even though there is a lot riding on it for us as well. I’m not going to be surprised if we lose this 3/4-0. But I’d much rather see us actually play well, be competitive, maybe grab a goal as well.

We are pretty much guaranteed at least 5th now. All this irrational bed wetting about being caught by the likes of Man Utd, Newcastle and West Ham is beyond embarrassing.

Well now you’ve gone and done it.

You won't be laughing when they beat us 14-0 nil next week😉

If this happens I will buy a season ticket for Birmingham City once they are in that new 98k capacity stadium.

I’ll also buy one for CVByrne as well. Might cheer him up a bit.

  8. Whilst we are seemingly going to finish top 5… I do think there is a small, legitimate concern with Newcastle now. Because they are in decent form and seem to be steam rolling over sides again like they were doing last season. They are facing all bottom half sides for the remainder of their games. Cast your mind back to how embarrassing we were against Tottenham at home and look what Newcastle have managed to do to them today.

I officially concede regarding Man U. They aren’t catching us.
