Tbf this is the first time we've done that all season (unless you count United as struggling).

At the time I would have counted them as struggling.. I don’t think they were even top 7 at that point? They were certainly fragile.
We also got pegged back against Luton but managed to nick a winner.

God bless you Tayls, that raised a chuckle from me. Probably only 16 points off us if they scramble a win at Sheffield United....

You are most welcome! I really wanted a Chelsea win. I was in no way as confident as many on here with the point gap between ourselves and Utd and their game in hand. It’s still a small concern for me, because it’s not mathematically impossible, but that loss for them today has made me slightly more relaxed. I guess.

  3. So I wonder if the plan is to throw the Arsenal game as well then? Prioritise the conference league and the other lesser teams remaining in the prem?  I say throw the game, but I mean ‘field a slightly weaker side’…

Only once in our last 7 PL games have we won on xG. That was against Forest. Unlike the season up to that point where we were winning games on xG and on scoreboard

We will be found out soon if we don't improve our performances.

    What does this mean?

  5. I mean, we’re pretty much going to lose this. But I don’t feel like we have shifted out of first, maybe second gear. And I think that has been planned. We probably shouldn’t have had such a shite wall for the free kick. But at the same time, us being stupid enough to give away fouls in those positions is rediculously naive. Have city given one away to us in that first 45? I don’t remember one! We have some things that we need to work on.
But I think for us to be able to experiment and play like this which is far away from what we normally play like, is brilliant!

Pep really is the most unlikable bloke in football.

I was watching the City doc on Netflix earlier, and was thinking that he is an absolute genius. How he gets his sides to do what they do is extraordinary. For that I have to like him a little bit…
