It was a dull, uninspiring and drab performance against an ageing Croatia.
The performance epitomised the manager. Football won’t be coming home if Southgate plays with the handbrake on.

I think Southgate will play Sterling and Rashford to start, with the Jack and Phil coming on, when its not working.
Just about everyone and his grandmother are saying Grealish-Mount- Foden, behind Kane, but I can't see Southgate being so bold.
The issue for me is, if that happens and we don't win, do the players start to doubt Southgate.....Managers need to be bold and intrepid and believe in their personnel, and the plan, I am not sure Gareth Does.
He comes across to me as a compliant FA man, a diplomat....not a football leader or a groundbreaking tactician.
but I could be wrong.
You won’t be wrong. Unfortunately….

in isolation of many other things ,yes.
but pace can unsettle the opposition as much as talent,can.....but on its own, its just limited.
Like anything, one attribute, is not enough, to be a top player, you need many.
Quickness of brain is as good as anything, reading the game and anticipation, its worth is weight in gold...but as I say, its just another 1 ingredient.
Sterling is a headless chicken at times so his pace is irrelevant when there’s little end product. Jack may not have his pace but there’s far more likelihood of Jack providing an opportunity than there is Sterling.
Our very own GA11 had pace to burn but didn’t deliver often enough.

The world was a better place and a lot easier and cheaper when your Dad could give the bloke on the gate 50p and lift you over the turnstile
Or you were small enough to crawl underneath the turnstile in the Trinity Rd

Pulis, Allardyce and now potentially Wagner.
Three of the most negative coaches in football.

Rashford wearing the armband yesterday is a sure sign he’ll start ahead of Jack.
as one if the commentators mentioned yesterday, his decision making has been poor. But he’ll no doubt get to start.Southgate is clueless.

Had a look at the SHA forum earlier and the retards are adamant it was a dive. They just can’t bring themselves to praise Jack.
They really are a special breed.... -

I wonder whether the policy to reduce foreign travel is being influenced by the boost it will give the UK economy when people take holidays in the UK?
Bang on. Or update their house/garden or car instead of spending money overseas. What’s the point in vaccination if we can’t travel to countries with low infection rates?

As well as those already mentioned, I’ll add The Clangers, Daktari, The Double Deckers and Why Don’t You.....
Almost forgot Tony Hart and Animal Magic with Jonny Morris.
The 70’s had some fantastic kids tv programmes

Spoke to him at The Reading Festival a couple of days after the home victory over Everton. He was in front of me in the queue for beer. A genuine guy who was happy to chat about the game and humbly thanked me for saying he played well in the game.
I wish him success for the remainder of his career.

When this lot of words removed take on the Mancs, there's no ideal result other than a meteor hitting the stadium. Unlikable bunch of words removed.
Yep it’s a pity the final can’t be null and void.

We have our fair share of muppets who post on here but SHA is riddled with them.

No matter what thread you read on SHA there’s references to AVFC in one way or another.
They really are bitter, uneducated and obsessed cretins.- 1

Just rung my lads to let them know we’ve been successful. To say they’re chuffed is an understatement. It’s going to be a very emotional return to Villa Park next weekend for so many of us.

Given the ownership issues I don’t think they’ll appoint anyone that will be anything other than a yes man to the owners.
SHA are the gift that keeps on giving.

Unpredictable, inconsistent, frustrating. He’s a maverick and capable of winning a match with a moment of magic.
He’ll prove to be money well spent.

I don’t doubt you’re right, Maguire shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting 11 given his injury/fitness and lack of game time. But if anyone should be replaced it should be Stones.
I hope you’re wrong.
