Can't trust footballers these days. They see money and their opinion changes to whatever helps them get a pay day. No respect. We took him from Boro when he was injured and we gave him all the time in the world to recover. We showed the utmost respect for him so I expect the same.

When I post on here, I normally don't try to make any people mad nor do I try to really start anything with anyone. Although here is where I must take a stand. Lichaj is a good LB/RB. He had ONE not so great game against Man City! All the players looked like shit that game because of the 2 days rest. Plus the way Lichaj man handled Bale was amazing. I was very disappointed when we loaned him but Lichaj proved at Leeds that he is definitely a quality fullback. The leed's coach and fans had such great reviews about him and they said he is a one fine fullback. One great thing about Lichaj is he plays with so much heart. It always seems like Lichaj actually wants to be out there giving it his all. The kid has heart and I honestly think we'd be letting another good defender go if we decide not the use him. I really hope McLeish won't be as big as an idiot as Houllier was. The kid is quality.

Why? We did the exact same thing with Walker. Walker was playing for a top Championship club and was doing well so we got him on loan. Lichaj got loaned to a top championship club and was doing very well, so why wouldn't we give him a try especially if he is actually our player?

Lichaj wore his heart on his sleeve today and gave it his all. He has such determination today. I thought he was the Man of the match.. I like the look of Lichaj. It would be a risk to have him as one of our full backs this season, but I'd take that risk if we could spend the money to get a Laursen-like CB (not easy to find, but do your stuff Big Eck). I'd also like to see us using Lichaj's long throw to good effect for a change. Anyone else have feedback from Leeds fans? My impression was that he was very well liked there, judging partly from his scores on the Skysports player rater fwiw. Leed's coach was asked a few questions about Lichaj and he highly praised Lichaj. What really stuck with me was what one of the things the manager said. He said that if we don't plan to use Lichaj, then he'd gladly drive up here and help move lichaj's stuff so he could have him playing for Leeds again. Lichaj was great for Leeds from what I heard. A lot of USA fans watched the games to see Lichaj and I heard a lot of positive reviews. Plus the fans loved him.

He is 22 and he has only gotten a few chances. Holden was 24 when he showed that he was quality. Dempsey was even older. Maybe Americans take longer to prove their worth?

Eric Lichaj has looked very good at LB for the USA. He went up against a pretty good Mexican team and none of the goals came from his side. He shut down mexico's left hand side to a point where they could only get their attack going on their right. I am very excited about this kid's future. He looks like a good RB/LB

Obviously not enough for some... The version I saw had two sets of hands holding the scarf at the Downing end, so it must have been photoshopped and was a fake.
