b23avfc
Anybody have experience with a Portable 3G Wifi Router such as: http://www.ebuyer.com/290691-tp-link-150mbps-portable-3g-wireless-n-router-tl-mr3020 Or http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-LINK-TL-MR11U-Portable-150Mbps-Wireless/dp/B0098AU7HY I'm thinking of getting something like this so I can have wifi on the road, ideally abroad. So I'd buy an unlocked 3g dongle which is compatible via the reviews of whatever device I went with) Then abroad I'd pick up a data sim et voilà ... wifi wherever i am. Does anybody have any experience with this kind of set up?

limpid Posted August 24, 2013 Administrator Share Posted August 24, 2013 I just buy a data SIM and put it in a spare phone. Turn on the wifi sharing for other devices.

Dodgyknees
I have been using my Nexus and it runs mega quick, but I want something else. Would I need a dongle alongside one of these or could I run Wifi straight off?
b23avfc
The stuff I'm looking would need a data sim, well the stuff I linked plus an unlocked dongle. £40/50 plus data sim from the actual country
blandy Posted August 25, 2013 Moderator Share Posted August 25, 2013 I used a telstra dongle recently in Australia, and it was superb. The performance was really fast, the only thing is the cost, which isn't particularly cheap.

b23avfc
it's a bit soft but I made an unboxing video.. very soft I know. But I youtube stuff to get information so I thought i'd add to the rubbish that's already on there, until I use it properly, then I can be more informative. It all adds up on my adsense account anyway
